"**Hotel Review** Unfortunately, my experience at this hot spring hotel did not meet expectations. The dinner service was particularly lacking. The food had already been set up in the room before we arrived, and the waiter offered minimal assistance, only asking if we had lit the fire. There was no explanation of the dishes, nor was a menu provided. To make matters worse, the necessary cutlery for different courses was repeatedly overlooked, which detracted from the overall dining experience. The food itself was unremarkable and didn’t compare to what other hot spring hotels typically offer. The private onsen also posed a challenge. The water switch was broken, leaving no way to adjust the temperature or water flow, resulting in water that was uncomfortably hot throughout our stay. Breakfast the next morning was very basic and lacked the variety or creativity I’ve come to expect from similar establishments. Overall, the hotel did not live up to the standards I’ve experienced elsewhere and left much room for improvement."

"Facilities: Excellent. The hotel comprises three buildings, each featuring its own onsen bath. Cleanliness: Excellent. Ambiance: Very good. Service: Very good. The front desk staff were incredibly patient and thoughtful, taking the time to explain the hotel's layout and facilities to us. The hotel boasts a prime location in Gero, a renowned onsen town, just a few minutes' walk (a few hundred meters) from the station. There are three onsen baths in total: one on the 9th floor, one on the 3rd, and one on the 1st. The 9th-floor onsen is open 24 hours, while the other two are accessible from 5 AM to midnight. The water quality of the onsen is superb, truly living up to the reputation of such a famous hot spring destination. A soak there makes you want to linger! The hotel breakfast was generous and diverse, a Japanese-style buffet offering a wide selection of drinks that were always promptly replenished. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I would absolutely consider staying here again if I visit Gero in the future."

"Excellent! Very satisfied for this onsen hotel!! Definitely recommend this accommodation to friends and family. Everything is over expectation: services, facilities, room, public bath (onsen), food, and all. One drawback would be language barrier between some staff, but they really trying to communicate with us which is impressive. Also, there is a free shuttle bus service between train station and hotel during daytime, very convenient. Tips for me is to book this hotel on weekdays, it is half price cheaper than weekends or holidays."

Gero Onsen is one of Japan's leading hot springs. Please enjoy the beautiful skin in the open-air bath where you can spend a relaxing time in the clear air.

"This hot spring hotel is mostly occupied by Japanese people and there are very few foreign tourists. Everything is better than expected, and the package with two meals is very cost-effective. The room is in traditional Japanese style, very large and old but very clean. The hot spring pool has indoor and outdoor areas. When I went to soak in the outdoor area at 4 pm on the first day, I was the only one there and the environment was very good. When checking in, the front desk will let you choose the dining time. The buffet is divided into three time periods. I chose the earliest time period. It was basically full every time, and there were a lot of delicious food. According to the comments, there is a free shuttle every half an hour, but in fact, the shuttle needs to be booked in advance and is not free. I walked to the hotel because I didn't wait for the shuttle. People with a lot of luggage are advised to take a taxi or leave the large luggage at the station because the second half of the walk to the hotel is uphill and it is tiring to drag the suitcase."

A hot spring inn located on a hill above Gero Onsen. Surrounded by rich nature, the hot spring town is full of life and becomes even more atmospheric after sunset when the lights are lit.

"The hotel facilities are relatively new, but the service is very poor. There are no bags or handbaskets for bathing and towels in the room, and there are no disposable socks. The food is not fresh, the fruit is actually frozen, and the hotel is not located in the hot spring street. I booked this hotel to try my luck because I couldn't book anything else. It's not ideal, and the price is not cheap. It costs more than 3,000 per night for two people."

"No breakfast, we set the double room, did not ask for an extra bed, so it is not clear whether it can be added. Feel the location of the hotel is OK, but the price seems to be not very high. There are many similar family hotels in the town. Many of the shopkeepers don’t understand the Internet, so they don’t hang on the Internet. They can’t go out in the town during the peak period. There may be better choices."

"This was my first time using this hotel, but it was non-union so I took the train to the site. I had booked a shuttle bus from Gero Station so they took me to the hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Dinner and breakfast were served as a buffet. Even though it was a weekday, there were a lot of guests and dinner reservations could only be made at 5pm or 8pm. When eating, everyone was greedy as if they were fighting for food, which was a shame, but there won't be another time! There was an indoor bath, an outdoor bath, and a sauna. It's a popular hotel so it's good if you're concerned about price."

"It was a comfortable, family-run Ryokan style inn. There is free parking for those who drive. It is also walking distance from the train station. We arrived after dark and the staff told us there was no more dinner, so they recommended us a dinner place nearby. For breakfast which was included, it was a full set and really delicious Japanese platter. We ate to our heart’s content. The onsen is located on the basement and the 4th floor, I like it specially for the rooftop onsen. The men and women onsen will swap at certain timings to allow each gender to enjoy the facilities at the rooftop. They give clear instructions on a piece of paper, and you just need to look at the colour of the cloth hanging outside the onsen. The hotel is located near the town centre, so you can walk around easily."

GGuest UserLovely onsen ryokan. Staff don’t really speak English so there’s a bit of trying to figure things out for yourself.  Nevertheless, service was friendly and helpful as best they could.  The outdoor onsen is really relaxing and because it’s not a crowded hotel, both times I went I had it to myself as did my wife and kids in the ladies area.  We picked the room with its own outdoor onsen tub which is a great option if you don’t want to use the non-private ones.  You can apparently book private onsens but they did not have any available for us (possibly because we arrived slightly late in the day).  Food was excellent for both dinner and breakfast.  Kids couldn’t;’quite enjoy the onsens cause they found the water too hot so you may want to make sure your kids can before you decided to splurge.  One final point, the ryokan is located down a tiny road on the right just before Google Maps tells you that you have reached.

33HrocketA charming and comfortable traditional Japanese ryokan. The location is excellent, directly opposite the JR station; you can easily reach it by following the pedestrian signs across the railway tracks. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive. They kindly allowed us to store our luggage before check-in, which was great for exploring the onsen town without any burden. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and ample Japanese meals (washoku), for which you could confirm a preferred seating time. Complimentary coffee was also available in the first-floor lobby lounge. The onsen facilities were excellent, including a lovely open-air bath (rotenburo). Overall, we were extremely satisfied and would highly recommend this ryokan.

Gero Hongyekan Wanboting is really great! In Japan's three famous springs, Geroizumi, the service is very good. There is an open-air bath on the roof of a sister hotel, and there is a car to pick up and drop off at any time from 9 to 12 in the evening, which is very convenient. The water quality is so good, the sun that soaks up the skin will slide down when it falls on it. A wonderful hotel experience! The beauty at the front desk drove me out to buy urgently needed products when I was in an emergency. Every detail was great. The Japanese-style room was also spacious. I really like this place. I will definitely go again if I have a chance, and I will definitely stay here again. hotel. Breakfast is included, and the environment and ceremony are very beautiful! The hotel itself has indoor and outdoor hot springs. When it snows, get up early in the morning to soak in that outdoor hot spring, which is quiet and beautiful! Its sister pavilion has a very strange inclined elevator, and the hot spring water is the smoothest I have ever soaked in.

김쁘띠It's about 20 minutes from Gero Onsen. Of course, I went there by car. I visited by rental car. I chose it because it was a little different from Gero Onsen. It's a hot spring hotel with an atmosphere that almost all Japanese people use. The rooms are spacious and clean. It has an old atmosphere, but it's really nice. There's no elevator, but it's not difficult. The air is good, and both breakfast and dinner are delicious. But the hot spring is the real deal. I had a happy time and left. ^^

GGuest UserThe hotel is settled in the middle of Gero Hot Spring town, short walk from the train station and can also be reached via bus from Kamikochi area. The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained. You can feel the spirit of older times in this hotel with a lot of beautifully selected decoration pieces. The manager showed us around and even offered us a new room since I accidentally booked one without shower (we declined that offer since we only wanted to stay for one night). That’s why we used the Onsen area for showering which is beautiful and includes all amenities. View above Gero and including an outside Onsen area to watch the sunrise. The staff was very friendly, the manager even drove us to the bus station since we forgot our jackets in the bus. The bar is well-equipped and a great place for a drink or two. One of the best parts was the breakfast. Never had such a good Japanese breakfast before- delicious, served in a private room, beautifully arranged. Next time we want to try their dinner :-) We felt like family and I can recommend anyone going to Gero to stay at this great hotel! Thanks again for your hospitality!

Ssjf1986aaaIt is a sister hotel with Fugaku next door. Before we even got to the door, the old man of the hotel came over to confirm whether we were staying. The names of the people matched. When we left, the old man was waiting for us at the door very early. When we went out for a walk, he also thoughtfully prepared a map for us. The service of the older generation of Japanese is really amazing. There is a special room for breakfast and dinner, which tastes good. There is a private bath in the room. Open the window to the outdoor private bath. Hehe, there are several hot springs upstairs and downstairs. My wife took a bath three times a day and soaked in all the hot springs. Gero is not big, so it is suitable for a leisurely stroll for half a day, eating some snacks, returning to the hotel to taste food, watch the snow, and take a bath.

You can put your luggage in the room where the landlord of the hotel will carry the luggage up. There are showers and toilets on the second or third floor. Basically, you can just take the bath outside. The shower that comes back to sleep is less than the sink on the third floor. It seems that there is no hot water. The wooden building. YYuzuojianThe shaking of the elevator 🛗 spills the cup of coffee. I felt very dangerous. Welcome drinks were very good. The service of Oden 🍢 and Ramen 🍜 is the best. The private open-air bath was not good, but the underground bath was good. For dinner, grilled meat on a pottery plate 🥩 Hobamiso is delicious. Free alcohol drinks were also good. The water splitting of the sub-flowing water in Hida was the most fun. At breakfast, Orange 🍊 was very sweet and delicious. I wish I had ice cream. In terms of price, I will give you a passing score. In addition, please provide customer service. I would like to use it again. Fireworks 🎇 also looked a little!
