"Friendly & inviting staff. Our room was nicely resented everything you needed, wash items, offer bags & milk. Room was very clean apart from toilet bowl which looked very discoloured. Breakfast was nice food with good variety of food. Matteo was very friendly and helpful with a willingness to help in any way. Harry did a good job cleaning tables. It was a very busy morning at breakfast and these two especially Matteo were doing everything 😊"

"The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, equipped with a mini-bar and a kettle. Breakfast was excellent, featuring a make-your-own waffle station. There's also a small gym available. A large overnight parking lot is conveniently located just a short distance from the hotel, which is great if you're driving. Just one block north, you'll find a variety of restaurants, and the famous Roman Baths are only a few more steps away. However, the front desk staff spoke extremely fast, seemingly oblivious to the fact that we were foreigners and struggled to understand. They just rattled on. This really highlighted a lack of consideration and customer service on their part!"

"The service at this hotel was excellent. Due to an unexpected change in our travel plans, we had to modify our original two-day stay, changing both the dates and duration. The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, and kindly waived any change or cancellation fees. For parking, you need to get a discount code from the front desk, which brings the cost down to £17.5. Otherwise, it's £50 for 24 hours. PS: A few days after we checked out, an unpleasant incident happened. We had definitely paid for parking when we left, but a few days later, the hotel emailed us, claiming we hadn't paid and threatening a £35 fine. My advice to anyone renting a car in the UK is to always keep your receipts for parking fees and any other similar expenses."

"I am very satisfied with the hotel I booked in Bath this time. It is located on a small hillside and should have been a castle villa in the past. The environment is very good. Although the room is not particularly large, it is enough for two people to live in. The decoration is stylish. The room is cleaned every day. The breakfast is also very good. In addition to the classic English breakfast, you can also order a few free items such as bread with smoked fish and scrambled eggs, which taste very good. The tea set is also customized and of good quality. The service in the restaurant is also very good, especially a supervisor named Tom, who knows some Chinese and is very friendly and provides good service. Thumbs up! There is a bus at the door of the hotel to the city center, which is also very convenient. Free parking for self-driving! "The room was a delightful surprise – vibrant, stylish, clean, and comfortable. The hotel's location is super convenient for both the train station and local attractions. Inside the room, there were complimentary drinks, coffee, and tea. What was especially unexpected and helpful was finding an iron, which was perfect for smoothing out my wrinkled dress. Of course, the hotel isn't without its quirks; being an older building, getting to the room felt a bit like navigating a maze of twists and turns, and the soundproofing could be better. However, getting a good night's sleep was ultimately what mattered. Plus, ironing my clothes in the morning with the sunlight streaming through the window was quite a pleasant experience."

The location couldn’t be better—right in the centre of Bath, just minutes from the Roman Baths, shops, and restaurants. Everything was walkable, which made exploring super easy. The room was compact but cleverly designed, clean, and modern. I had a windowless room, which I initially wasn’t sure about, but it turned out to be quiet and great for sleeping. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless with a good shower. One of the highlights was the complimentary cheese and wine served in the evening—such a lovely touch and not something you’d expect at this price point. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience feel really welcoming. If you’re looking for a stylish, no-fuss place to stay in Bath with a great central location and thoughtful extras, I highly recommend The Z Hotel. I’ll definitely stay again next time I’m in town!"

Considering that the official website’s prices were quite similar, I went with the trip.com booking. I reserved a cozy room for 1 adult without breakfast for £113. After I checked out, trip.com triggered an immediate discount of £10.46, which I applied to my next train ticket purchase. ❤️ Third-party Marriott members get perks, too! This hotel falls under the Marriott Tribute Portfolio, embracing a boutique hotel approach. The entire establishment dates back to 1739, boasting a historic exterior. It’s conveniently situated just about 3 minutes’ walk from the Roman Baths and across from Sally Lunn’s. With my Marriott Platinum Card, even with a third-party reservation, the hotel upgraded us to a larger ground floor room facing the street after matching our account, but it’s not advisable due to potential noise. They also offered complimentary à la carte breakfast. Breakfast slots had to be reserved during check-in, and we chose a table at 10 AM. The breakfast was abundant, and the restaurant had a charming and lovely atmosphere. The experience was excellent (the best things are free!). Unfortunately, I don’t have space for more photos, but I’ll post one of the restaurant later. The room was quite small, designed in a modern British style, with a movie-themed decor according to the posters on the wall. All the amenities were provided, with local brand toiletries available for purchase at the front desk for £25 for two bottles. They were decent, but nothing extraordinary to consider bringing back home. The minibar had coffee, various teas, semi-skimmed milk packets, and biscuits. The bottled still water was in an aesthetically pleasing canned form. 🌟 There’s an Elemis sleep kit on the bedside: temple balm/sleep mist/eye cream, placed over a hotel postcard, looking quite exquisite. The bed was very comfortable. ❌ However, there were a few drawbacks to this place… a bit unnerving… I’m not sure if I just had bad luck. The hotel corridors were somewhat confusing, and I accidentally opened the wrong room door once using my own room card. Strangely, the next day around ten o’clock, while I was in the bathroom and my son was on the bed, despite securing the latch on our door, someone managed to open it slightly, presumably seeing my son on the bed, and then closed the door. Perhaps it was a housekeeping staff member wanting to clean the room? Regardless, it felt quite odd… a little unsettling, to be honest"
