"My room, 818, was upgraded after I called ahead, which was a very thoughtful gesture. It also came equipped with a mini-fridge and a massager. While I don't frequently stay at InterContinental properties, I was very grateful for these thoughtful touches. As I have a sleep disorder, I always travel with my CPAP machine, and the cleanliness of the room is crucial for a good night's sleep. I was delighted that the room was impeccably clean, with virtually no dust. When I found the standard pillow uncomfortable, the manager kindly provided a memory foam pillow for me. Although the breakfast selection wasn't particularly extensive, the staff member at the breakfast entrance asking for room numbers seemed a bit stiff, and the laundry room was inconveniently located with too few machines and no staff available for overnight drying assistance, the overall stay was still very comfortable. "The hotel's location is excellent, right near the fountain, just a few minutes' walk through an underpass. Guiyang North Metro Station offers a direct line to the subway exit right across from the hotel, and it's just a few stops to Qianling Mountain Park, which is incredibly convenient. When I booked, I specifically requested a quiet room, and the hotel delivered perfectly. My room was on the residential side, so there was absolutely no noise. The room itself was quite spacious, tidy, and clean. The shower pressure was excellent, making for a very comfortable shower experience. They even provided body lotion, which was a thoughtful touch. The laundry room is conveniently located opposite the front desk. What really impressed me was their laundry service: if you're in a rush, you can leave a note, and they'll wash, dry, and fold your clothes for you to pick up later. This service is truly commendable! Breakfast was fairly standard, nothing particularly exciting, but honestly, Guiyang has so much amazing food to offer that it's hardly a deal-breaker and can easily be overlooked. There's a shopping mall right across from the hotel, which houses a Lianghuanzhai restaurant. Unfortunately, my trip was quite rushed this time, so I didn't get a chance to try it."

"We were really satisfied with the room design – it was both Instagrammable and comfortable, and the view was absolutely lovely! The location of the hotel is quite good too – just around a 12-minute walk to the metro or bus, which made getting around the city very convenient.
Special thanks to the captain during breakfast; his service was truly top-notch. He consistently checked on guests with a warm smile, which made our mornings even better. Also, a big shoutout to Rabby for kindly assisting us when we asked about taking the bus around the city – really helpful!
There was just one issue we encountered during our stay. On the first day, we noticed that the hair conditioner couldn’t be pumped out and the hair dryer wasn’t functioning well. After we reported it, the team responded quickly by providing bottled conditioner and a replacement hair dryer – which we appreciated.
However, a few days later, housekeeping took away the replacement conditioner bottles, and we were left without any again. When we brought it up a second time, the team finally discovered that the original conditioner pump was broken and fixed it immediately.
While we’re happy with how quickly the staff responded, we do feel that for a 5-star hotel, it’s important to ensure that room amenities are checked thoroughly before guests check in.
Overall, we still had a great experience and appreciate the excellent service from the team!"

"As it was my first trip to Guiyang, I spent a good while searching for a hotel. I didn't want the hassle of changing places, so I planned to return to the same spot every evening after my activities. It turned out to be incredibly convenient. My stay was seven days and six nights, and overall, it was a fantastic choice. The cleanliness was consistently excellent every day; you could tell the cleaning staff put a lot of effort into their work. All the staff I met at the front desk were also very polite and helpful. They offer self-service laundry, and right downstairs, there's a subway station, plenty of restaurants, and it's easy to catch a taxi. Truly, it's a super convenient location. The lobby area near the front desk is also a comfortable place to relax. At night, you can see the illuminated Twin Towers, and it's less than a five-minute walk to the 'White House'. It really is a great spot. I really outdid myself in finding this hotel, haha! If I ever visit Guiyang again, this will definitely be my top choice. I forgot to take many photos, so I'm just including one I took from the windowsill."

"Everything was excellent – the facilities, cleanliness, and ambiance were all very satisfactory, and the room size was just right. My only minor complaint is that the two rooms we were given on the first night were incredibly loud. To my surprise, there were motorcycles revving and trucks roaring by in the early hours, making for a completely sleepless night. Fortunately, they moved us to different rooms for the second night, and we had a wonderful sleep. If I visit Guiyang again, I would definitely choose to stay here."

GGuest UserClean, excellent bath tub, toilet and shower facilities. Soft bed with memory foam pillows. Very friendly staff who are friendly and provide a guide for everything, but do ask for their Wechat in order to receive a guide on how to get to the hotel before arrival. Breakfast, tea and supper are available upon request. Location is in the central area for dining and shopping. The staff also gave wonderful parting gifts in the form of local food products which incidentally I happen to enjoy.
This hotel is an excellent choice if you appreciate the youthful energy that Guiyang has to offer.

GGuest UserCleanliness: The room was spotless. We stayed for three consecutive nights, and the housekeeping staff was very prompt in changing the sheets.
Environment: Newly renovated, which gave the place an excellent overall feel. It's also conveniently located close to all the main attractions in the city center.
Service: All the staff were incredibly warm and friendly.

The environment is very good, the service is also very good, the front desk is very enthusiastic, and there will be free coffee and fruit when you check in. The hotel also has free laundry, tea room, public book bar, and even dryers. The whole house is smart with high-definition projection members. MMonikaHotel in the center, close to Jiaxiu Pavilion and many restaurants. There was a strong smell in the bathroom in one of our rooms, but the reception changed our room. Hot water and heating worked without problems. The staff was helpful, spoke English. Breakfast was adequate.

GGuest UserThe hotel service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. The room decor was cozy and inviting, the bed was very comfortable for sleeping, and the room itself was very spacious. It was exceptionally quiet, perfect for a peaceful rest. I'd give the environment a full 5-star rating! The room had excellent natural light, with abundant sunshine streaming in, allowing me to soak up some sun around midday, which felt incredibly therapeutic and rejuvenating. I also visited the hotel's charming pet-friendly garden restaurant, and that experience was equally delightful. The staff there were very attentive, the setting was spacious and bright, and with ample seating, there was no need to wait.

Secondly: it is located on the 8th floor of a commercial tower.
As a 3 star rated hotel in china, it's on the high end of the scale inside.
as a solo traveller, i am mainly looking at convenience and hygiene. I booked this place for it's proximity to the train station for my early morning flight.
Arriving at the station, it took me 40 minutes to find my way to walk over to the hotel, and would have appreciated more information.
How to get there: Exit the station at the west plaza, on your right somewhere, you will find a path which leads to an underpass to cross the highway. Walk straight into the basement of the commercial building, turn left and then go up the escalators. Then the hotel's lifts are on the left as you enter the building. The current state of the elevator lobby and the lift is dire. See photos. Cigarette butts, and renovation mess.
In the reception, there was a lady in front of me that was haggling the prices of her room. Just so that you get an idea of the place.
Once I got into the room, it was fine. Quite a nice area. But there was no Aircon control, it was all centralised, but at least it was cool in Guiyang that night.
There was a wet mark on the sofa, see photo. I inspected the room for hygiene, and it was ok, clean towels, clean toilet, clean sheets, pillows didn't smell. The toilet flushes well, and shower room was clean. In fact, apart from the sofa mark and the rug condition, everything was good. I marked down the hygiene mainly from a suspicious wet mark and the state of the lobby/lift.
I used the self checkout in the morning to catch my train, since the reception was sleeping under the counter. It takes 10-15 min today walk to the station with luggage, with no rain shelter. Be aware. It is probably better to just book a hotel in a slightly better area and take a cab.

My train was delayed due to weather conditions. Instead of arriving at 22:11, I arrived at Guiyang North Railway station at almost 23:00, the manager promptly replied to my messages to see to it that I correctly followed the directions to the hotel since I don't speak Chinese and it was already late at night. He assured me that the staff was expecting me and the room had been prepared and reserved for me. They upgraded me to a bigger room + complimentary breakfast! ❤️
- The staff and the manager helped me book a taxi to the airport. It was raining when I left for the airport and they provided a service umbrella and instructed the driver to drop me at T2 on my behalf since I am a foreigner and I don't speak Chinese!

AAnonymous UserThis hotel is more suitable for people who go in and out of T3. I originally wanted to choose a hotel closer to the airport for my early flight the next day, but I didn't expect that it was still a long way from T2, and the hotel didn't provide airport shuttle service. I had to take a taxi with my luggage the next morning. Also, the hotel was newly opened and the decoration inside was still quite smelly.

GGoh KCPlus point: Hotel is about 800m from assembly point for one day local tour packages. Limitations: The hotel driveway can be messy with many tour coaches picking up tourists. The breakfast hall was chaotic during peak hour notably 6.30-7.00am when guests had difficulties finding seats and food. The room is good and clean. Staffs are nice and helpful.

Right from the moment we arrived, it was disappointing. We had a lot of luggage since we were traveling from Nanning, and there was no one to receive us or guide us — just a dark alley with no staff in sight. We had to call the number listed, and even then, the person on the call had no idea where we were supposed to check in. After some confusion, we had to walk around 200 meters to a completely different hotel’s service center just to check in. Even there, the service was terrible — the staff were casually chatting on WeChat and clearly had no clue what they were doing. We waited nearly 30 minutes before they finally said we should go to another hotel nearby. They gave us a room card and we moved all our luggage there, only to get a call saying the room was already booked for the next day — so we had to move again. Thankfully, we hadn’t unpacked yet, but it was still exhausting and unacceptable. Even basic things like water bottles weren’t available — we were told they would send a message in a WeChat group and they would deliver it to the room later. Seriously? Overall, the experience was chaotic, unprofessional, and stressful. The only positive part was the security staff — they were actually helpful and polite. Everything else? Not worth it.
