"The room's location is great, right in the city center, and the price is indeed much cheaper compared to nearby hotels. I stayed in a newly renovated room. While the facilities are a bit old, everything worked fine. The room was also quite clean. Overall, it was decent. The air conditioning was also powerful."

"We arrived at the hotel around 9am and had wanted to deposit our luggage but was told that our room was ready and we could check in! Thanks Marcia and Marjaa-lis! The room was clean, shower pressure was good, fridge was cold , beds were comfy and you had everything you need for a good stay. The towels could be softer though, but overall I am happy.
Breakfast was nice with a good spread and coffee and tea were were fantastic. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Thanks Binisha and Laura for the warmth and welcoming smiles. See ya soon!"

"I am writing this to warn other travelers about a major security and privacy failure we experienced at Duxton Hotel WA.
Upon returning to our room at 8:55 PM, we were shocked to find our room door fully open and propped up with a wooden door wedge. Our room was located near the elevator, meaning our personal belongings and privacy were completely exposed to every passerby for nearly 5 hours (housekeeping finished at 4:30 PM).
The most disappointing part was the management's response. They admitted the mistake but refused a refund, justifying it by saying ”CCTV showed no one entered” and ”nothing was stolen.” This logic is absurd. Security is about prevention, not just reporting after a crime occurs. Whether or not someone entered is a matter of LUCK, but leaving the door open was a total failure of their ”Duty of Care.”
They offered a bottle of wine and breakfast, which we declined as it felt like a dismissive gesture for such a serious security issue. If you value your privacy and safety, think twice before staying here. A 5-star hotel should not have a 0-star security protocol."

"Place is old, and somewhat outdated, and u do hear the traffic from the freeway. But, for the cost for the night, which was $120, overall, it was good value for money. When I first arrived, as it was after hours, I dealt with the caretaker, who was friendly, and also helped me get into my room, cos I was having trouble with the door lock, which was my fault! I didn't use the kitchen facilities, except the fridge, but kitchen was equipped with enough items to be able to cook a meal easily. Bathroom was good, with shower over bath, (and big size bath too), so with not having a bath at home, I soaked for ages! I was informed before arrival, that only mini soap and toilet paper was provided, so I knew to bring body wash, hair conditioner, and other toiletries. Bed was comfy, and bedroom is quite large. TV maybe a little small, but the room had a couple of cupboards, and some hangers for clothes. Place was fairly clean, keeping in mind that it is an older property. Check out was easy, and I was met by a friendly receptionist behind the desk. I would definately stay again, if the price was as good, I'd just bring some earplugs for sleep, cos of traffic noise, which is no fault of the apartments of course!"

"I stayed for 6 days, and it was my first time staying in an overseas hostel! Regarding amenities, nothing is provided, so you need to bring your own shampoo, body wash, etc. There are only showers. The cleanliness depends on the room you're in. My room was a bit messy because I was sharing it with someone who had been staying there for a long time. The hallway had boots and shoes from guests, but it wasn't inconvenient to walk through.
The communal kitchen and lobby were great for relaxing, which I really appreciated. There's also an exclusive guest area on the first floor where you can play games or eat. Since I was traveling solo this time, I didn't usually use it, but I found out about it when I had dinner with my roommate once. The reception staff were polite, energetic, and made for a pleasant experience.
It was also possible to store luggage after check-out; it was set up so you could put your bags in a luggage room yourself."

"We booked this hotel on short notice. We booked 4 rooms. Everyone liked it. The room was very clean! We could cook a little and it also had a washing machine and dryer. I highly recommend it! Great!"

"We stayed here for two nights. Hotel was clean, but could have been a little more spacious as we have barely any space to open our luggage. The espresso machine came with coffee capsules which was nice.
We drove here so had to park at Wilson parking beside the hotel. Parking spots were very tight. Not wheelchair accessible. We had to drag our luggage down a narrow hallway to the main entrance.
The staff was friendly and allowed us to drop our baggage after we checkout as our flight was in the evening.
Overall a good stay."

"Traveling with a 6-year-old, what matters most to me, besides the hotel's ambiance and location, is the bed size.
The Intercontinental's advantages are:
1. **Location**: It's in the city center, within walking distance to shopping, and you can take the free CAT bus to city walk attractions.
2. **Hotel Environment & Hygiene**: The hotel itself has good environmental conditions and is clean. While the breakfast options aren't extensive, the food is delicious.
3. **Bed Size**: The double bed is 1.35m, which is perfectly sufficient for a family of three!

"The hotel's location is super convenient; it's about a 10-minute walk to landmarks like London Street and Swan Tower. Since it's a historic building, there's no elevator. Check-in at the front desk was quite unique, as shown in picture 1. The room was very clean, and the fridge even had complimentary milk and mineral water. Checkout was simple – just drop the room card into the box on the ground floor. You need a password to enter and exit the main gate, which is printed on the room card sleeve.
Breakfast was interesting, served in an old building restaurant right next to the hotel. It's not a buffet; you order from a menu. My booking included breakfast, but when I got there, the server informed me that anything over $15 would be charged extra. There were only two options within the $15 limit: two slices of toast ($8) or two fried eggs plus two slices of toast ($15)."

Aailsa671The only downside of the family room was having just one bathroom, which made getting ready for four people quite a long process. The air conditioning in the room was noisy and affected my sleep quality to some extent. On the positive side, the location is excellent, making it very convenient to get around. There are supermarkets and convenience stores nearby, and you can walk to attractions in the city center. Plus, there's a bus stop about 200 meters from the hotel with a direct bus to Perth University.

As for the price, I managed to snag a 3-night consecutive stay package during a Ctrip promotion, which worked out to saving ¥1,000 per day! There's a large free parking lot, and it's about a 6-minute walk back to the hotel.

The hotel did not reply to my emails before arriving with questions and requests for my stay.
They provide filtered water in the restaurant which is great, however housekeeping never removed the bottles when they cleaned. They also changed my towels each day - despite the sign saying to leave them on the hook if you didn't want them changed.
The bed was extremely soft and not comfortable and the pillows were lumpy and too big.
Overall it was ok, clean enough and easy to find but I wouldn't return.

Plus, with staff available 24/7, emails and other communications are checked promptly. The facilities were satisfactory, and there are many amenities nearby, so I highly recommend it for backpackers.

MMachineryWe enjoyed our stay when we started our trip to Perth and very happily to return at the end of our trip a month later. We love Quest and it’s our preferred place to stay wherever we travel. The facilities standard is consistent throughout the chain and we can easily make it our home.
We also like the location as it’s next to the Jacob’s ladder that leads to King’s Park. The free laundry including the laundry detergent is great. Kitchen equipped with cooktop, oven, microwave and dishwasher are also my favourite.The parking deal is very good $25/24 hours at the nearby Wilson Carpark (10 mins) walk as the street parking is $6.70/hour.

GGuest UserAlthough the hotel is a bit old, the facilities are very well-maintained, some even looking brand new. I read online that parking was $65, but that's actually just for the area in front of the hotel lobby. I asked a bellboy and found out there's a free parking lot not far behind the hotel, which was great! They also have a heated pool, but I was too tired to try it on my first day. The bed was incredibly comfortable! 😊

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is great, right in the city center with plenty of dining options nearby. The hotel environment and restaurant are also very good, and the rooms are quite spacious. However, there's significant room for improvement when it comes to room cleanliness. My bedsheets had stains on them when I pulled them back, and housekeeping didn't even clean the toilet! On the bright side, the front desk and restaurant staff were all very enthusiastic and polite.
