"This is a folk-style hotel with terrible service. I booked it on Ctrip, but they said it had nothing to do with Ctrip. I said it doesn't matter to you, why can I book your hotel on Ctrip.com and even have to pay a deposit for the room card. I didn't want to refund the deposit in time when I checked out. I said you can leave and we will refund it to you later. They didn't follow Ctrip's agreement, they were the rules themselves, so it wasn't very cool. The room had no windows, but it was marked as having windows. The window was just a small hole on the side of the door. He said that was the window. But this small hole is open to the corridor, so it is the same whether it has this window or not. The smell in the room was so strong that we choked a lot. Then we asked them to change us to a house with windows, but the house with windows was smaller. They wouldn't give us the difference in price, so that was it. We came out to play, admit it, we can't do this. Just quarrel with them both vigorously. Forgot to take pictures"

Location: Although the location is far from the city, but fortunately, it is 300 meters away from the high-speed , it is more convenient to have a car. It would be better if there were a supermarket nearby.
It is 8 kilometers away from Fangte, 36 kilometers underground and 20 kilometers from the ancient city.
Hygiene: As a homestay, it is good. The bedding is still very clean and there is no messy smell. The bathroom is a bit offensive and needs to be turned on the exhaust fan.
Parking: It has its own yard, parking is convenient. It also includes 3 separate small garages."

GGuest UserI had the most beautiful time in Datong, and a big part of that was due to my stay at Renyi Inn! First of all, the host is so kind and friendly. She always greets you with a smile. She even brought fresh watermelon for free everyday to my room :) more importantly, the whole hotel as well as the room we're super clean. The interior was so beautifully traditional. And it's only a 3min walk away from the major temple and all the main shopping streets. If you stay in Datong (which you definitely should, it has so much to offer), stay at Renyi Inn!

GGuest UserThe highlight of our trip was definitely our stay at this guesthouse. Every single detail was impeccably handled. The guesthouse was spotless and well-maintained. The customizable breakfast was delicious, creating such a cozy atmosphere that we almost didn't want to leave at all. And the location? Absolutely unbeatable! Situated right in the heart of the ancient town, it's a peaceful oasis amidst the lively surroundings. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

GGuest UserIt was a very lovely hotel in the pedestrian area of Datong. The staff is very friendly en although they dont speak English, they have a translation device, making sure communication is possible. The hotel itself is pretty and so is the room. The one thing to consider when traveling as friends is that the bathroom isn't in a seperate area, although there is a screen to make sure you get some privacy. Not something negative, just something to consider.

DDanielA very pleasant stay at the Pipa Old Inn. A very historical building, though the place is equipped with all necessary modern amenities save for an elevator. Fortunately the staff very helpful assisted us with lugging up our heavy luggage to our room on the 3rd floor. Very beautifully decorated and strategically located in the heart of Datong Ancient City. Very pleasant and helpful staff who helped us plan and arrange our trips around Datong though sadly, they weren't very proficient in English (but that's common in China). Free breakfast was included in our stay and there was a decent spread though the menu didn't change much over our stay there save for one or two vegetable dishes being rotated. Overall definitely worth a return trip and stay in Datong Ancient City.

QQiandanhuakaiThe inn is located next to the ancient city. It's very close. It's very convenient for a walk or a bike ride. The room is equipped with smart facilities and is very clean. The massage chair is really well received. I really need it after I went out for a walk during the day. There is also a projector, which is very comfortable to watch movies while having a massage. The lady in the store is very enthusiastic and super nice.

GGuest UserExcellent location being close to almost all of the major attractions in the datong ancient city as well as the famous knife cut noodle and shumai restaurants are just short walking distance away. It is also very close to the bus stop for Yungang grottoes.
The inn and room overall is very clean. I really enjoy the view from the room. The host is very lovely and can help with your travel advise and booking for transport hire to go to the hanging temple .
The only negative that I can pick on is the shower situation which was not designed very well. The water outward flow from the shower is not fast enough so you end up standing on a puddle of water. And the shower curtains not positioned well so there is always going to be water splashed outside of the shower zone. I only stayed for one night and I think It’s minor compared to what this accomodation offers. I wish I could stay for more nights as it is very nice

GGuest UserVery good boss, very good homestay 😭 knife-cut noodles are very delicious, the room facilities are very tasteful, it is very comfortable to blow the breeze in the small courtyard, the boss is very good to help us upgrade the room type, stayed for a few days and experienced a lot of local humanities, everyone is very enthusiastic, Datong is really a very good city, outstanding people and beautiful scenery, I will come again next time 🥹🥹🥹

GGuest UserVery nice stay directly in the heart of the old City. You can easily take Bus 38 in front of the hotel to the Yugang Grottoes.
The hotel itselfbis very roomy with big bathrooms and a inner courtyard. Everything was very clean and had a nice charme. The bed is very big but a little on the hard side.
The shower was fairly good and they have a japanese toilet.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.

MM22192****I went to Datong Ancient Town during the May Day holiday. The room in this inn was clean and had no odor. I liked the small sofa next to the bed. The boss was very considerate in providing disposable towels and bath towels, and there was plenty of hot water. Parking is also convenient, not far from the inn, only a five-minute walk away. The location of the inn is very good. It is right next to the clock tower of the ancient city. It is convenient to go anywhere. There are many small restaurants downstairs, which is also convenient for eating.
The landlady was very enthusiastic and we had a great time chatting. I like your dog the most. I will come to your house next time to play (๑°3°๑)
