This place needs to be avoided at all costs. Morocco s seem to be comfortable charging European prices for below std hospitality. This place is perfect example of a bad bread and breakfast. Rooms are below basic, washrooms have no exhaust, linen is bad. The hotel is 20 mins trek from village and a mule is given to pick ur luggage l. We arrived late at night and didn’t ask for luggage pickup. The hotel insisted we need to come up the moment we parked our car or they won’t bring up our luggage

Excellent. Kind staff. Beautiful. Heated floors. Good food. B highly recommended for families and those who enjoy the beauty of the mountains. They are well recovered from the earthquake and fully open. Just a beautiful retreat from the world.

We had a fantastic stay at the Kasbah. The location is breathtaking, with amazing views of snow topped mountains all around. We hiked into the next valley and stayed in their Trekking Lodge (basic but perfectly comfortable, we had a en-suite room). This was an incredible experience - the mountains are so peaceful. We walked with a guide and had a delicious picnic on the mountainside. The walk (including a break for lunch) was around 5 hours. We walked back, via a different route, the following day. The Berber hospitality in the Kasbah was great - the food was really delicious Moroccan food. My favourite was the Msemen (Moroccan pancakes) for breakfast with Amlou (almond butter). Would thoroughly recommend staying here if you’re interested in hiking in the Atlas Mountains and would like to stay somewhere comfortable (and beautiful).

A delightful hotel at the end of the road leading up to the peak of Toubkal mountain. Donkeys transport your luggage for the last part of the journey where you are met by the charming staff. The hotel is a joint venture by English owners and a local community leader. The hotel employs local staff who are all helpful and a levy from your stay goes directly to improving the lives of those living in the nearby villages, from irrigation projects to schools and ambulances. The hotel is very comfortable, the rooms are warm and cosy in the cooler winter evenings but also with plenty of space outside on the terraces to enjoy the amazing views of the towering mountains and beautiful valleys. Guides are provided for walks around the area, everything from a gentle stroll to a full ascent of the mountain with overnight stays in a refuge which is also owned by the hotel.

A simple yet comfortable stay with rustic charm, warm hospitality and gorgeous views, we chose this as our winter sun destination after a short stay in Marrakesh, and were not disappointed. We were well looked after, the reception staff are attentive and helpful, the chefs, Youssef, Hussain etc served up warm, delicious Moroccan food at every meal. Mint tea or coffee was on offer whenever we wanted to relax on the terrace, and we went out on the short treks around the village through some spectacularly scenic landscapes. We decided to explore ourselves as the treks were not very hard, and got lost on one or two occasions but found our way out again, so all in all- a fun adventure!

I’ve just returned to the UK after staying at the Kasbah du Toubkal whilst training Berber Mountain Guides. I’ve been staying at the Kasbah for many years whilst leading groups on Mt Toubkal (4167m). The staff are always friendly and welcoming and I enjoy the rustic Moroccan charm of the bedrooms. The standard of catering is always to a high standard and special requests are always catered for. Post-earthquake repairs are nearing completion and having toured the new public areas, which were damaged, I really like the new layout. The Kasbah du Toubkal is a fabulous place to stay and I’m excited to be returning in February for another round of training local Berber Mountain Guides.

My partner and I recently stayed at the Kasbah and had a wonderful time. The accommodations are simple but comfortable, and the view of the mountains from our room was absolutely amazing. Breakfast and dinner were included, and they weren't fancy but were good. You can also reserve a 30 minute private spot at the hamman, which was nice.

This is a really magical place. We felt so welcomed and instantly relaxed on the terrace overlooking the mountains. Our hike with our guide Hassan was a highlight, along with the evening meals and hamman. We hope to come back again one day soon.
