Destinations Inn Theme Rooms

I am super glad that I discovered the Destinations Inn! I travel to Idaho Falls for work once a year and the Destinations Inn is the highlight of my year. The detail in each room is incredible! The staff is also super welcoming. The themed rooms allow me to completely relax and unwind after multiple days of meetings.

We have been here several times and absolutely love it. You cannot go wrong if you are looking for a nice get-a-away. We event booked this for our sons honeymoon. We would go even more if we could. Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff are nice, and the overall experience is truly like you are in a new place.

Traveling through, I booked a room here as it was my birthday and it looked fun. I thought it might be a bit kitschy like the Madonna Inn in southern CA, but it was so much nicer! We stayed in the Thailand room, which had an amazing bed, bath with bubbles and lights, shower/steam room, and very large TV. The room was beautiful and not cheesy at all - we loved it!

My stay at Destinations was a complete accident! I was in town for one night only, and looking at all the regular haunts I found them to be full. Destinations had one room, The Congo. I decided to go, and made my reservation. When I saw the outside of the building I had many reservations! It looked old, and I was skeptical about what I’d gotten into? However, upon entering I found not only a clean building, it was a completely different atmosphere from the outside! The staff there were amazing, and I didn’t feel judged for being on my own even though this was definitely a couple’s environment. I was made to feel welcome and at home immediately! They had multiple options for breakfast, I chose the delivery option for after I checked in. It was what you’d expect, muffin, granola bar, juice, yogurt, but delivered to my room approximately 10 min after getting in the room. Perfect choice if I’d been with someone, but I enjoyed it on my own as well! After entering my room, I was transported! Bamboo, a rock fountain, a raised bed with amazing decoration! Then a steam shower, and though I did not take advantage of the steamer, the shower was nice. Low water pressure, but not unbearable. Then a jacuzzi tub!!!🎉 Very spacious, even if I’d had someone with me, and the soak in jetted water!😌😌😌 The TV was very large, and played soothing music upon entering. The bed, though quite soft for my taste, was still ver comfortable! Do bring slippers if you’re in a room with a rock floor, unless you like that sort of thing. As a bigger guy it wasn’t particularly pleasant, however not enough to dampen the rest of the stay. All in all my happy accident turned into an amazingly comfortable stay! Ten out of ten, I would definitely go again!

Great people work here! Their customers are there number one priority and it shows. All the rooms that we toured a few weeks ago were clean and unique to each other. The atmosphere within the building is quiet. Their is a train that passes by a few time a day but I don’t remember hearing it to far into the night. Although it he building is on a main street I don’t remember hearing the traffic out side either. The staff is very kind and accommodating. We had had a pretty good stay at their other location but had mentioned a few issues that would have made it the best stay. In response to those issues they apologized and and gave us some offers to compensate us on our next stay. We ended up using this location for two other reservations that we ended up needing to cancel due to a family emergency or sickness. On both cases they worked with us to re-list the room in hope that someone else would reserve it allowing us to get a credit or refund. Thankfully both times it worked out. Finally this past weekend we were able to enjoy our stay and use our compensations.

When my wife and I travel we usually use name branded hotels because of accumulating points and rewards. While planning our Grand Teton and Yellowstone trip earlier this year, we decided Idaho Falls would be our starting point. When we were looking for local travel ideas on Trip Advisor, we came across Destinations Inn. The rooms looked really nicely themed and since the reviews were so good, we decided to give it a try and picked the Venice Room. It blew our expectations away!! The staff was so nice at check in and offered restaurant ideas (Mamma Fla). When we got to the room we were amazed! The room made you feel you were actually in Venice, from the gondola shaped hot tub, to the little table on the veranda, to the ceiling painted like the clouds in the sky. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend staying here a night or two (I’d pick a different room each night of course! LOL) if your travels take you to Idaho Falls.
