Iberotel Makadi Beach

A wonderful family holiday in this hotel. The staff were always friendly and very fond of children. Every wish was fulfilled. You can eat anything there without hesitation. Great attention is paid to cleanliness. The beach is great. Overall it was a very relaxing holiday. See you next time.

We had a fabulous 10 night stay at the Iberotel Makadi Beach. We found the beachfront location perfect, after walking along the Makadi bay curve taking a peak at all the other hotels, our opinion was that the Makadi beach had the nicest ‘feel’ of all in the area with its spacious open plan gardens, palm trees and general hotel architecture. Room location requests are fulfilled wherever possible and our cleaning guy was both kind and attentive. The atmosphere was classy and not stuffy which it’s important to us. As mentioned in previous reviews, we can only agree that the quality of food and dining options were outstanding, such variety and plentiful. Service in all areas was top notch. One morning for example, walking to breakfast I saw a staff member in front of me picking up a leaf from the marble pathway to keep things looking immaculate for goodness sake! - Gives you an idea of the attention to detail. Pool colleagues kindly layed our towels on our chosen sun beds each morning, drinks service around the pool was regular so didn’t have to move for a drink if you didn’t want too! The house reef is pretty good in certain areas, we saw many amazing fish of all colours, shapes and sizes including lion fish, box fish octopus and even Nemo! Didn’t see the turtles that were mentioned though. Just remember where you’ve put your towels and bags as when you get out of the water it’s difficult to find the hotels designated area of the beach, waterside! The smaller heated pool was frequented the most, if you wanted a little more peace and tranquility we found the beautiful larger pool best, although this was likely quieter as the water was pretty cold so very few used it. Very little springs to mind that we thought could improve things. Everything was so nice, all we could say really is that was a same as non smokers the reception area did have the smell of cigarette smoke every time you walked - one of the bars with an open door led off from the reception where smokers were, as this is the 1st impression a guest has when entering that was disappointing. But this is just a little thing really. All in all we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to family or friends. A great holiday in a great hotel, great weather year round and great service. Positives - food was tasty and not too repetitive. Fast service. Only bad meal we had was in the asian al la carte out if the hotel but in the resort. 90% of staff were very friendly especially Ibrahim and his colleges in the lobby bar. Hotel was very clean all around. Free easy access to multiple amenities - sauna spa , water park, golf ect Negatives Not a fan of the people who walk around the hotel asked you if you want to go to the spa but I understand thats how the make a living. Cash machine outside of hotel but on the resort swallowed £80. The hotel did call the bank but nothing was sorted. Personally , if one of my guests of my hotel lost money to a machine on the resort I would reimburse them. If this did not happen i would give 4 star instead of 3. I emailed the bank and the hotel both have not replied. This hotel is 100% catered to Germans. The TV was majority german channels, we were greeted in german, every time i rang reception the answered in german. And a few staff did not speak entry level english, the hotel states in response to other reviews that all staff sre trained in english, whoever trained them needs a good talking to. Not to disrespect any of the kind Germans we met who i will also add, carry themselves better than my british counterparts. We ended up actually preferring the fact we were surrounded by Germans but for it to not be mentioned when booking the holiday is ridiculous. Less travelled people (typical british Benidormy england tattoo types) would hate it. Overall if you dont mind being in a german hotel and do not use the cash exchange machine outside, you should really enjoy this place. If somehow I am reimbursed my lost money, it would only be fair to delete this review as it doesn’t deserve 3 stars based on everything else

We are in the big tent waiting the new year 2025. It's very fantastic festival. Very nice decorative tent with a huge buffet. Food was tasty. Welcome cocktail in garden area was wonderful. This hotel is the best . We will come again to celebrate 2026
