Huidong Hotels with Bars

The hotel was nice. We were given a top floor room,it was really spacious, clean and had an amazing view!!Amenities and services just as advertised. The location was really convenient, lots of Chinese/foreign restaurants around. The hotel is right at the beach which is great (umbrellas and chairs were paid tho). The buffet breakfast was well organized, food selection was ok, nothing fancy. The hotel is a bit old and is lacking the feel of luxury but overall we were satisfied.

We stayed in 2 hotels during our stay in Huizhou. I would say for families, children and teens this is a really great option (even though not cheap, for 1,500rmb per night). The hotel has great amenities like table tennis, billiards, KTV, gym, around 5 restaurants (Chinese, Cantonese and Thai), around 5 pools (some of which have slides for children, and an infinity pool near the beach), a beach with water sports and volleyball very close to the rooms, and a foam party for little ones The room we had had a sea view and 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a fridge. Downsides were our room which was on tower 4 was a little old and smelt of mould, and the beach is quite noisy, yet I’d say we slept comfortably. The manager Rahal was very kind and helpful. Most of the staff does not speak English but when we arrived a front desk staff added my WeChat so we could ask for anything we needed which was very helpful. The green curry at the Thai restaurant was very nice, and breakfast had a lot of options (western and Chinese), including cereals, fresh fruit, pan au chocolate, vegetables, eggs, noodle soup, fried rice, fried noodles, waffles with honey, amongst more. There are small drinks stalls next to the hotel at the beach (bubba tea and lemon tea), a small shop to buy beach clothes and instant noodles inside the hotel, Hagen Diaz and Chinese ice cream near the KTV cubicles, and vending machines around the hotel. In summary, there are many things available and we enjoyed a good time there. We enjoyed our stay and felt welcomed.

The service was amazing! It was my birthday and the hotel upgraded our room free of charge and then served a cake to the room. I want to thank Mr. Lu from the reception desk for excellent service. We will come here again, because this is one of the best choice for family vacation.

The hotel is an apartment type, and no one will take care of you after you get the room card. The front desk of the lobby is in Building 2. You must not drive to Building 2, because Building 2 and other Buildings 4, 5, and 6 have no driveway. If you drive to the lobby to register, you have to drive to the parking lot on the 1st floor. The parking fee is 40 yuan. The decoration of the room is a bit old. There is no refrigerator now, as it used to be. Something unknown on the bed was biting. Downstairs is the beach. It is recommended to bring your own water bag, drinking water, and snacks. The surrounding area is charged according to the cinema area. Nearby McDonald's do not use coupons, all at the original price.

Summary of Scores: Location 4/5 - Yes it has a beach front, yes it is pretty out there. We arrived at HuiDongNan (惠東南) high speed rail station and took a 50minutes ride from the station to the hotel via Didi/Taxi. The location is pretty far from the city. However, the challenge comes when trying to book a taxi on the wechat Didi app. Often there are limited drivers in the area resulting in waiting up to 30 minutes for a ride. The other down side for me will be the construction surronding the area, as it is a still developing area, construction sounds and sites are observable. Clealiness 4/5 - Overall the hotel staff is very fast and the staff work extra hard to ensure any spills, wet spots, wet marks are wiped and cleaned as soon as possible. However, in our room there is a smell of watery and humidity when we entered the room, especially the standing shower stall in the room. Service 5/5 - The front desk lady (Judy) was fast in helping us check in to the hotel. We arrived very early ~12noon, Judy helped us check to see if there were any rooms available for us to check in earlier as the check in time was supposed to be at 3pm. We ended up geting the room ~12noon and with an upgrade to the 25th floor. Overall whever we approached the staff, they are very willing to help. When requesting for extra water in the room, it came within 30 minutes. Facilities 4/5 - There are many facilities and places to take photos such as the I Love Richu Sign, Swings, Reef Bar, Observation Deck, Fireworks and more. There are many places for great pictures. Besides picture opportunities, there are many faciltiies for kids, very family friendly. Whether it is shooting fireworks, kayaking along the lazy river, swimming/playing at hte shallow pools, going to the beach, there are much to do to ensure your little one is engaged all day. Given the hotel is less than 10 years old, there are some observable wears and tears in the room which can be maintained better. We got the hotel package with the breakfast, there are many varities and definitely very fitting for the Chinese population which is the majority. However, if you are expecitng a more western/international breakfast cuisine, you may need to be aware options such as cold cuts, ham, cheese, egg stations are not avaliable. While the resutaurant opens at 7:00am, the restaurant is packed with 65%-70% occupancy already at 7:30am.

The hotel is located in the community. The environment and location of the whole community are OK. There is a beach downstairs, which is very convenient for going out. The boss is very nice. He upgraded the room type for free and responded to any requests quickly. The room is very large. The large balcony faces the sea directly, which is very comfortable. There are chairs and a small table on the balcony, where you can take a nap. However, the chairs will fall off black paint when dragged on the ground. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the space is reasonable. There is a TV in the room, which you can watch when you are bored. There are also sofas and tables by the window, which are very good for rest and eating. I think the overall hygiene of the room is OK, but there are also parts that need to be improved. The black paint falling off the balcony chair is not easy to clean. Children like to go without shoes, which easily dirty their feet. The backrest and pillows on the sofa need to be cleaned more often. The parking fee is collected by the community, capped at 40 per day, and there are plenty of parking spaces...

The hotel has everything. The rooms are spacious and clean, wet and dry are separated, the exterior is cheerful, there is a balcony, laundry is convenient, the price is very good, the service is considerate, the location is convenient, between the station and the beach food street, both are 6 or 7 minutes' walk away鈡,

We booked a two-bedroom apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It has a large space and is especially suitable for traveling with multiple people. It is very cost-effective and cost-effective. The owner upgraded me to a sea view room for free. The bath towels are disposable, clean and hygienic. It is worth recommending. The owner is a nice person. I will book this hotel next time I come to Shuangyue Bay!

The room is nice. I wished it had a small fridge so i could store drinks especially if you’re staying for a while and the hotel leaves only 2 bottled water daily. The room and hotel look just like the pictures. The service was not bad but they take too long to clean the rooms. But once requested it is done. We were even told the cleaning is done at 4pm. The hotel is not very close to the beach. Getting around in the city required a bike taxi which can cost about 30rmb each time. Didi is very limited. The city is quiet for the most part but for the two nights we stayed, there were fireworks on the beach late at night. The area has a problem with garbage. Stinks really bad. The beaches are not very clean. However, the people (locals) are nicer than the ones from Shenzhen where I’m from.

The front desk service attitude is good, the security guard will also take the initiative to guide parking, and the room environment is also OK. Worth it
