The Scarlett Boutique Hotel

The hotel is ok. The service is excellent and that's what makes it stand apart. The location overall is great, but it was difficult to find as it's in a back ally. Parking is on the street and you need to move the car in the middle of the night to avoid a parking ticket. We didn't try the breakfast as we had other plans, but the setup looked quite nice. The large bed is one that is actually 2 beds put together with a topper. This is a major issue. I understand why management would choose this as it provides more options to accommodate various guests, but the execution never works in any hotel. There's always a dip in the middle and the beds move apart in the middle of the night making sleeping a nightmare; we did not sleep well. This is also the first business (hotel, rest. etc.) that i have experienced in Vietnam that did not have a butt spray cleaner in the toilet area. We were disappointed with that. There is also a terrible cigarette smell in the hallways. It's par for the course for hotels in Asia to have this and I recognize the challenge hotels need to deal with; just unfortunate as the first impressions going up to the room were really effected by it. Cleaning the air and washing the carpets do help a little bit, but really the only way to overcome this is to replace the carpets completely and strictly enforce a no-smoking policy by the staff. Overall, the stay was ok. There is a lot of value for the money to be found here and the friendly staff are what really make the property worth a look, as is the convenience to the walking street for dinner and fun on the weekends.
Chau Bao An Homestay

The location is a bit remote from the main streets, but it is within a 10 minute motorcycle ride. It is truly a homestay, there is an auntie who lives there full time, who is relatively friendly. It is shown in the pictures, but I didn't notice that the bed doesn't have a proper frame, it basically lies on the floor on a wooden pallet, but the mattress is decent. The room has lots of electronic devices, such as a dehydrator and an insect killer. The TV is huge. The bathroom experience is also good. The huge issue I had, that made my experience poor is a curtain, that doesn't properly close the window, so it's possible to clearly see the room from the yard. The management provided a makeshift half-solution, and assured me they will fix it in future, but I share my experience. There are some other small issues that should be fixed, but after they complete I think guests should have a good stay.
Hue Tho Homestay

I loved the hosts very much, everything was perfect, the room, the cleanliness, the smile of the guests.
BANH INN HUE
4.4/59 Reviews
It's nice that the shower room and toilet are separate, but it feels stuffy because it has no windows and is narrow. Other than that, it is decorated cutely and is worth staying in. There is no noise as it is in an alley. It was a shame there was no TV.
Hotel la Perle

Place simply recommended. I can just tell you that our stay was so good that we doubled here our time in Hue. Room: We took a deluxe double room, which had a king bed and bath tube. In real the room seems a bit smaller than in picture, but spaces are ok and there is a shelf where you can store your belongings. Bed is stable and very comfortable. As complimentary you have every day water, instant coffee (with condensed milk, better than standard nescafe) and a small snack. Cleaning: Room clearance consist also of towels and bed sheet changing. The bathroom kit includes toothbrushes, comb and cotton buds. We stayed many days and the room was always really sparkling spotless. Staff: the girls at the front desk (Ruby, Tho, Sarah and Hoa) are exemplary: always welcoming with a smile, kind and ready to help. They truly treat us as family <3 Also the guys from the night shift are nive and always kind.
Big Hotel Hue

Because in an alley, the environment is not very good, and there is no airport shuttle bus, I told Ctrip to ask for check-out, Ctrip is particularly good, directly refunded, they paid the room rate, and later went to the local EMM hotel. So this time I feel particularly good, and it will be better to book on Trip.com in the future. If it is booking, it must not be refunded.
