There were no towels despite me having a booking for six people, and only one toilet roll but after asking I did get everything I needed. Also there’s no point checking in online as it’s still a very long wait at reception. Car park is pretty much non existent but overall I’m happy with my stay.

Hotel is not in a bad location for trips out… But the hotel needs a lot of improvements! The breakfast buffet you are left waiting for them to replenish food items , you have to keep asking staff where are the cups for tea as none replaced there was queues because of the location of the toaster, be careful if you ask for water to be replaced in room as I was charged but then got a refund after complaining..the executive room was good but I know the standard rooms are not great. The staff were good but there needs better organisation. The pool area dated and no set time they seem to pick and choose open close times. We had quite a few issues not all mentioned here which we told reception about we was not happy and noticed other customers complaining.. we would not stay again and certainly not 4 star 3 at most .. can’t comment on spa treatments as did not use but looking at the spa I’m sure there are better ones around. Golf course 9 hole in good condition but outside hotel area need tidying up bit scruffy.

Location is excellent with both Moor Street railway station and New Street railway station nearby. It's near to the malls where there is a M&S supermarket. There is also a lots of choice for food. Room itself has a small kitchen area which I didn't use. I had a comfortable stay and location is central enough to get around easily.

Going on a business trip, really not looking forward to it at all..booked the closest hotel to the venue not realising it’s actually connected..expected to be in a travel lodge-esque box…this hotel was so nice, I’d happily go back! Everything about it, polite helpful check-in staff, excellent room with everything I needed. Lovely staff in the restaurant, even allowed me to grab a pastry for breakfast even though I’d not paid for breakfast ( surgery precludes me chomping down on piled high buffet plates)….uber comfortable bed, fab shower, tea coffee facilities, iron and board, usb sockets in the room…in spite of what others may have experienced, the entire hotel was immaculately clean and tidy..with a somewhat unusual but really nice orange smell in the reception…would not hesitate to stay here again!!

Stayed here for one night and we stayed in the superior room with the city view, which was really nice as we were on the 18th floor so the view was amazing. The room was clean but the bed and pillows were horrible. The mattress was so soft you would sink into it when laying down, the pillows were the same too, they were really soft and flat and we didn’t get a good nights sleep. Other than that, everything else was fine.

The hotel is a very nice place, with charm, and the main building, the master, has a great history. The hotel staff is super friendly, especially Lewis who has been looking after us since the first moment, speaks a little Spanish, and worried because our stay was unforgettable. ¡ Thanks! The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and the hotel is very comfortable and comfortable.

Location of the hotel was excellent. Parking is £13 for the night on site. Room was clean. The aircon did not work and it’s was so got my partner almost fainted. I called up the manager who came along with the housekeeping. The housekeeping tried to say oh it’s motion sensored and you got to wait 30 minutes or so to come on. I’m standing there looking at her like say what again?! I explained to her nobody has time to wait around for the air con to come on for that long like tia 1994! Even the manager stood there who agreed it was hot. All our food had gone cold. And eventually 30 mins later they moved us to the room next door and from the word go it was so much cooler and the air con was working.. wait for it.. without anybody being there for the “motion a/c” to work. They didn’t do anything about the food that went cold, the inconvenience. Manager did offer to get us drinks but we don’t drink so pointless. He offered to reimburse £13 for parking again not worth it. Overall it was a poor experience but slightly made up for it when we moved room. This is not really the marriot experience and we made the mistake not to use the usual aloft hotel east side who are always 5/5!

Just returned from an overnight spa break at Moor Hall which my husband & kids purchased for me for my birthday . Super easy to redeem & I upgraded to afternoon tea & the treatments to 40 mins. Super spacious room with a comfortable bed , huge bathroom & lovely powerful rain shower. The bathroom decor ( tiles ) could do with some work to make a bit more modern but it was super clean. I was a little concerned with the location of the bedrooms located (room 77) as it seemed to be really close to the main banqueting suite which was hosting a super large wedding ( congratulations to Heather & George ) , especially when we were there for a relaxing spa break but we heard no noise whatsoever & I was mindful of walking into a group of immaculately dressed wedding guests in their finery & a bride & groom whilst we were wearing our white robes & flip flops . Fortunately we didn’t really ‘get in the way’ of the wedding , plus it was a lovely sunny day so they were all outside . Spa massage was incredible with Grace & Catherine . The 40 minutes flew by ! Thanks ladies . We also arranged an afternoon tea . It was presented beautifully & the service was impeccable served in a gorgeous room . The swimming pool was a great size & had a great steam room & sauna. Carvery dinner was just amazing . Eyes bigger than our belly & we skipped dessert . 10/10 Great choice for breakfast ( buffet ) too Everyone we met was dressed immaculately & super friendly & plenty of staff to make our visit amazing. A fantastic spa stay at a beautiful hotel . Left feeling refreshed , super full of good food & drink . Thank you to everyone who made our stay incredible. 10/10 & highly recommended.

GGuest UserThere is so much to unpack here when it comes to Selina Birmingham. Never again am I staying at this hellhole of a hotel. For a name like Selina, the hotel sure is nightmarish to stay at. It's shameful that the hotel shares the same name with my non-biological/cosplay partner. There is no breakfast but at least, the bedding, the pillows and the duvet are comfy (but most likely due to the fact that I’m tired) and the wi-fi is decent. Unfortunately, this is where the compliments stop, especially when the dorm rooms are so dark, you have to turn on the flashlight on your phone in order to see. Not to mention, there is no television in the room I was staying in. To make matters worse, the dorm room is cold, coupled with no heating. I honestly don't mind the cold most of the time but the room temperature is too cold for my liking. Speaking of the ground floor, the Korean receptionist told me that I'm not allowed to eat my food at a table at the cafe and told me to climb the stairs all the way to the third floor in order to eat my food. It isn't fair, considering the receptionist with the short, dark hair tends to allow me to eat my food at a table at the cafe during the very early hours of the morning. I eventually lost my patience and yelled at the Korean receptionist. It's rare when I lose my patience. I threatened in a growly voice with, ”I suggest you fill the pot noodle to the top with water unless you want a scathing, negative review to be blasted on the radio for everyone to hear?”. Finally, she got the memo. The rooms, bathrooms and toilets and facilities are unsanitary (for example, there are biscuit crumbs all over the bed sheets. I didn't know until I got out of bed), the entire hotel itself is not accessibility-friendly as if the lack of a lift and the staff not being accommodating towards disabled people such as myself isn’t of any indication, the kitchen and the kitchen equipment on the third floor are dirty, there is no hot water in some of the bathrooms within the dorm rooms, the bathrooms and the dorm rooms are shared (therefore, there is no privacy), the lights keep turning themselves off if you’re idle (I’m more used to turning on and off the lights on my own accord), you need to pay £10 for a padlock which is complicated for disabled people and the list goes on. The toilets, bathrooms, kitchen etc are just as dirty as Badea Faulkner and Olive Allison Brown from the Avanzar House in Middleton, Manchester not cleaning up after themselves. And don’t get me started on the staff being problematic. They aren’t very useful to the point where I had to shout at them due to their language barriers and them not listening to me, let alone understanding me. This is troubling for autistic people like me. Never in all my years have I encountered such frustrating hotel staff members. Compared to the other hotels I've stayed at in the past, the hotel staff in these hotels were never infuriating. If a lack of staff doesn’t tell you the appalling

GGuest UserI went to afternoon tea for a 70th birthday today. The experience was amazing from start to finish. They treated all of us like royalty especially the birthday lady. Having our own room. Which had been decorated. Walking into the room on our very own red carpet. The hosts Julell, Jose and Niu were lovely. Making the afternoon a very memorable time. They could not do enough for us all. Topping up our tea and making sure everything was okay. The food was exceptional too, I will definately be recommending to my friends. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. See you again soon xxx

GGuest UserI will not hold it against the hotel if other guests are making noises outside my door. The location is great, rooms are clean, well stocked with tea/coffee, staff is friendly and professional so what else can I ask for. It is not a spanking new hotel so do expect some inevitable wear and tear. As the weather turned hot the room was starting to get stuffy and I had to open the windows which looked out to a quiet alley. If I need to, I would stay here again as it is a pleasant place.
