Hot Spring Hotels in Tokyo

"It was the best hotel ever! So clean, so cozy, we felt like home! The room and public areas are super clean! The pillows were a bit hard, but then I asked for a softer pillow and they gave it to me immediately. The location is great, close to the Asakusa metro station, and one minute walk from Sensoji temple. Hotel breakfast was exceptional: fresh fish, caviar, soba and good coffee. Also there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, if you don’t like Japanese style breakfast, there are good restaurants with western breakfast nearby, and cafe with Norwegian waffles 3 minutes away from the hotel. The free noodles they served at 21:30 in the evening were so delicious!!! Also there were 4 types of ice cream available in the evening, all very tasty. We loved the traditional clothes provided by the hotel and also the onsen! It was so good to relax after walking around the city the whole day. The staff of the hotel was super friendly, polite and nice to us. We truly felt like home!!! Thank you so much!!!!!"

"It was a small but lovely hotel. You take your shoes off at the beginning and walk without shoes. At night they have free ramen which was delicious and their morning breakfast was crazy good. The hotel is a little older but it was clean. And all the amenities and it’s location make this place so worth it."

"The breakfast was absolutely delicious, so satisfying! I'm a huge fan of hot springs, so I booked this onsen hotel. The first day was a bit of an adventure trying to find it – I walked for about 20 minutes, which felt like almost two hours. But then I realized, after dropping my daughter off at the clinic, when I went to look for the hotel myself, I found it super easily. It's right next to the subway exit! The next three days were smooth sailing; the stay was really comfortable. The hot spring here is the real deal, and it felt amazing. Plus, the breakfast is incredibly abundant. For the first three days, we always went for breakfast at the last minute, close to 9:00 AM. On the first morning, we were pretty lucky – I thought it ended at 9:30, so we went at 9:00, and we were the last two people there. On the fourth day, we had to catch a flight, so we went down early at 6:30 AM. Well, we went down at 6:15 AM and found that it wasn't 6:30 yet, but there were already so many Japanese men queuing up! It really shows that Tokyo isn't a place for slackers. Also, in the evenings from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, they have a cocktail hour where you can freely enjoy coffee and other beverages. I missed this the first two days because I usually got back to the hotel around 10 PM. We made it the last two days, and it was fantastic! They even give you tips on how to mix your own cocktails right there. Due to the timing of my booking, these four nights were quite expensive. I later checked, and the price for the following week was much more reasonable. So, if you can catch it on a good value-for-money day, it's excellent. The front desk also lets you choose your pillow, which I thought was a really nice touch – they have high, low, latex, and even ones filled with buckwheat husks. And you can take free bath salts, tea, and even face masks. On the last day, you can get face masks! They also offer a supplement that helps you stay refreshed and alert if you take three a day, which I found very thoughtful. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this hotel, except for the first night when I struggled to find it. I spent a lot of time; we arrived at the 'Jidai' subway station at 8:30 PM but didn't reach the hotel until 10:30 PM. Other than that, everything else was perfectly fine!"

"Like many hotels in Japan, the room was a bit small. However, the overall cleanliness was good, and the service was consistently friendly and smiling. They also have a hot spring, which was never crowded during my visits; sometimes, I even had it all to myself. It only seemed to get busier closer to closing time. The location is also great, quite close to the subway exit and a straight walk there."

"This Akihabara hotel is in a fantastic location, right next to Electric Town, and within walking distance to the station. The rooms are clean and dry, with great facilities. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, making for a very comfortable stay. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Tokyo."

"I’d wanted to stay at this hotel for a long time and loved the idea of a traditional-style hotel right in the heart of Tokyo. The staff were very friendly, and I was happy to get a room on a higher floor as I had requested. The room itself was very small and felt a bit outdated. For this price range, I expected a little more. However, the window — definitely the highlight of the room — offered an incredible view of the city. The onsen was quite small, but wow. Being able to relax in an outdoor bath right in the center of Tokyo while looking out at the city was an amazing experience. The breakfast was also very good."
