The staff is very pleasant and the breakfast is satisfactory, but unfortunately the buffet is closed. (Forced to choose what you want the day before...) The right space for its price may be a bit too small. On the other hand, there is a lot of noise behind the walls and ceiling, which may be due to poor insulation. The bathroom is very good and the water pressure is good.

We were completely satisfied with everything in the Horst hostel. The check-in was friendly and quick, the rooms (we had family room No. 14 with 4 adults) were very comfortable and clean. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom is huge. The free parking is right behind the house. Breakfast offer was not huge (but is also not realistic to expect at the size of the hostel shop), but fresh, of good quality and delicious and we had everything we needed. A walk takes 5 minutes to the center, where you have a lot of choice of restaurants, cafes and bars with relaxed atmosphere and with a lot of outdoor gastronomy. The operators were very, very friendly, speaking fluidly German and enjoying continuing to help with all questions. In particular, we have a refrigerator filled with about 30 beers and soft drinks in the lobby area, which you can use (free). You can also stay in the general area of the hostel if you don't want to stay in the room. The hostel also offers a dinner you must order before (not sure how much pre-order you need). We did not try this at this visit, but we would test it next time.

I brought my youth football team to this venue with a number of family members last Spring and it was a brilliant stay! When it comes to sports, you name it - they have it. The players (aged between 12-14) were all able to play so much sport inbetween their external football activities and it was a really safe environment for them to do so by themselves without the need for supervision. The rooms were funky and fresh with things like ping poing acting as the adjoining door between rooms when it was open. Really cool, enjoyable and a great place for familities and groups to stay.

We made this a stopover in our way to the Harz Mountains and it was a total treat - relaxed elegance. Would have liked to have stayed longer to explore the gardens next door and the ceramic museum. Comfortable bed, good breakfast, pretty terrace and picturesque moat. Only downside was they had fully booked the restaurant so we had to go elsewhere but this turned out to be a good move! The facade of the hotel is not big, and it will be amazing when you enter it. The rooms are large and the decoration is special. They are all controlled by modern technology. The rooms are warm and comfortable. The beds are large. There is a terrace on the 4th floor to see the whole town. You can drink and cool off on it when it’s hot. The breakfast is plentiful. You can walk to the outlets. There are many restaurants to choose from. The supermarket is also very close. It is more convenient. It is recommended to stay in.

Nice quiet location in forest but not so fare from City center. For traveling you can hire bicycle at reception. Great smiling stuff, very worm approach. Great Breakfast, focused to save environment. Nice swimming pool and sauna.
