Although the we found that Kahala is starting to show it's age a bit, mostly in small ways within the Dolphin Lanai room we had, it is still a glorious, high-end resort. It is far enough removed to feel secluded and private, small enough that it almost never feels crowded, and close enough to the action of Oahu that you'll never be wanting for things to do. The lobby and restaurants are very well executed, and all of the staff that we interacted with were amazing, and are truly what made the trip extra special.

This's my first time booking through ”trip” app. I glad i did. Our room is corner views where we got both the view from diamond head and oceanfront. This's the best experience i have. We arrived at the hotel on a Friday night around 7pm Hawaii time. Didn't expect they were doing fireworks around 8pm. I got to see it right from my window view. Omg.....i was breaking in tears where i haven't experience of fireworks this close before. I wish they allow video reviews in here where i can share my recording of the fireworks to you all. My daily views from my room are the best everyday and night throughout our stay. We walked around the beaches, restaurants and stores around the hotel area everynight before bed. Anyway, thank you for the awesome experience and memories. Love it so much and totally recommend.

It is newly decorated in a Japanese style. The fixed seaside view is that the beach is not a full sea view. Most of the Japanese customers also have exclusive services. It is friendly to children. There are children's pools and water play facilities, and there is also an infinity pool with an adult bar. It is great not to disturb each other. There is a Lawson convenience store, an ice cream shop, etc. just below, with complete facilities, it is worth living in!

I booked a room with two beds. There was no microwave and the fridge was very warm, I would not trust leaving food in there overnight. The room was alright although the hallways smelt like **** and there were stains on the carpet floor. Other then that, I enjoyed the view from the 15 floor. The hotel is also right in the middle of Waikiki and there is a trolley stop right across the street from the hotel. ( if you don’t want to pay a huge price for transportation I suggest the Waikiki trolley $10 non stop rides from Waikiki to Ala moana (pink line)

I paid the resort fee and deposit with my card when I checked in in the morning, but when I went to the front desk to pick up my room key in the afternoon, I was charged the resort fee and deposit again. Even if I told him that I had paid when I checked in earlier, he insisted that I could pay. It's not for me, it's for my husband. Even though I said it was strange that I had reserved only one room for two people, I was told to pay. I asked someone who could speak Japanese to take over the phone and explain things to me, and they finally gave me the room key, but there was no explanation or apology as to why it happened. I was handed the room key with a defiant attitude. And, as expected, I was charged at the restaurant even though I made a reservation with a plan that included breakfast. If the front desk is that much, well, I thought it would be like that. I'm scared of what I'll be charged next time when I check out tomorrow. Is Marriott a hotel like that? I come to Hawaii every year, but I will never stay at a Marriott again. It's a shame because the location and facilities are fine.

Stayed here for 1 week,location is great. Right on Waikiki. This hotel doesn’t have its own beach but offers free sitting chairs to bring with you to the beach and towels. Takes 20secs to the beach.Really tall hotel so you can see sunset over the ocean,staff is SUPER friendly. Building is old like all of them on Waikiki,furniture needs updating,mattress is hard but they give you 4 pillows,asked for our room to be freshened up when came back sheets and duvet cover never got changed.Asked next day to freshen up and left sheets same way.Not sure why,cleaning staff spoke perfect English!Mon&Wed they got farmers market downstairs,outrageous prices a Coconut for $20US, a small cup of fruits for $20US,youll also find bracelets and other junk! Overall it’s affordable and central,we didn’t eat on the resort nor used their spa so can’t recommend!

Don’t book a room cheaply! *Environmental location, next to Wakiki Beach and on the main road, it is very convenient to be connected in all directions. Convenience stores and restaurants, trolly stations, public beaches, and zoos are all very close and within walking distance. *Room facilities, the hotel has a history of a hundred years, so it is very stylish, but the city view room in the Diamond Building is so bad! ! ! ! Not as good as the new 3 star hotel rooms. (Pictured below are the benefits of room upgrade with the Marriott Platinum Card. I booked the cheapest room, but it turned out that booking through a third party did not provide any membership benefits. In the Maui fire, the hotel was full, and I wanted to upgrade temporarily but there was no room). The room is old, with an area of less than 20 square meters. Morning and night, I am woken up either by cars on the road or by the phone in the next room. A very bad experience! * Service, remind the guests to check the bill carefully. After staying for 5 nights, the wrong bill was charged on 4 days. They checked it out one by one when they checked out, and the wrong money was refunded after 4 days. In short, don't try to be cheap when booking a room. The small and shabby room type is not as good as staying in Hyatt or Marriott. The price/performance ratio is too low!

We were greeted by Cindy at the front desk, she was warm friendly, helpful and always had a big smile. Cindy is an excellent example of true Aloha spirit. Keola our evening bartender was funny, entertaining and makes excellent drinks. Hotel is centrally and conveniently located. Rooms are very clean and spacious but could use an update on furniture. Excellent selection of items on the complimentary breakfast buffet.

The hotel is in a good location! Located on the edge of Waikiki Beach, 6-8 minutes walk from Alamona Shopping Center. There is a pier in front of the hotel. If you are lucky, you can see turtles in the pier waters while standing in the room (beachfront room type)! There are many Japanese tourists in the hotel and the service is very good! ! The hotel room is large, the hotel is new, and the facilities are good! The disadvantage I personally think is that the swimming pool is small and located on the fifth floor of the hotel, which is a bit useless (everyone goes to the beach to swim, especially the lagoon on the beach near the hotel, the water is very calm, the area is large and the scenery is beautiful), and I don’t know that the hotel charges 47 dollars per day for a resort. What does the fee provide? In addition, the hotel only has two high-rise buildings and does not go directly to the beach. It does not have the same atmosphere as the Hilton resort next to it (the Hilton we stayed at last time)

The hotel is an affordable price with simple and clean environment. The room looks new and tidy which make me pick for my four nights stay. More importantly they offer cheap parking charge compared to other hotels in Waikiki. There are two bottle of water to be provided each day and you can redeem for free in front desk which is appreciated, you can also take the refilling water in lobby. Microwave is provided in each room too.

Hotel location is about 150 meters from the beach, next to the Aston Hotel, the location is not bad, when the credit card forgot to stay in the room, please contact us in time, regret not giving some tips, the service is good, parking $ 32 excluding tax, Need a driver to help you stop, take the key when you go. Absolutely perfect for our weeklong stay with two toddlers. The room was comfortable, the view was lovely. The kitchen was an absolute plus to our stay, making it much easier to accommodate our young kids during down time in the hotel. They had plenty of room to play/hang out comfortably without being on top of our stuff in the comfortable bedroom/king size bed. Parking was convenient, and the walkability to important kid stuff (ABC Store, Waikiki Wall, Honolulu Zoo, good food trucks). Absolutely would recommend and stay here again in the future with our young family.

We booked this gem on VRBO. My husband & I stayed here for 8 day's & really enjoyed it. The condo was very clean & cozy , I really liked having the kitchen area to be able to make our meals because we don't like eating out everyday. They have a small staff & they're really helpful & friendly The location is great! your practically across the street from the beach on the quiet end of Waikiki . We recommend staying at the Waikiki Grand & will definitely stay here again.

The breakfast has good fruit, and it is no problem to eat a simple meal like bread, milk and coffee. The location is very convenient, very close to the main street of Waikiki, it is very convenient to go shopping. The room is slightly smaller, but it is very cost-effective in Waikiki, the resort fee is cheap, as long as 12 dollars a day, parking 25 dollars
