Excellent hospitality with very clean rooms, and comfortable bed. My room had the view of the lake and I woke up with such a stunning view from my bed.
On arrival, they can offer pick up service from train or airport. And also access to building is with secure key card. I love that there is washing machine and a lovely dining area.
There are fruits and tea for all in common area if you like. The night we stayed there was also warm milk for supper if you wish.
Room has a drying rack and can be light switches are really cool with track lighting in the room.
Breakfast was simple set meal but you can top up whichever condiments you like. Soy milk is nice and warm.
When I checked out, I was handed a nice small speciality box of local tea! As a souvenir. How thoughtful!

"The room was spotless and offered stunning, photogenic views. They even included a complimentary travel photoshoot, though we didn't get a chance to take advantage of it due to our tight schedule. I'd love to come back and stay longer next time to fully explore! In my rush to catch the flight, I forgot some items, but Manager Chen was incredibly helpful and mailed them back to my home – I'm so grateful! Every single staff member was incredibly attentive; they even washed and returned my clothes. Plus, the breakfast was delicious."

"The hotel is well located into the Ancient City in Dali.
The welcome from the staff was well organized and they gave us everything to wander around Dali on the recommended list. We tried everything and they were spot on. Special mention to the restaurants on the list. We tried the local and western one: number 1 on the list . Delicious food. We also found an American dinner on the way. With amazing everything on the menu and those cakes !!!
The rooms are as pictured on the website. The only thing was the noise with the wooden stairs. However the hotel is aware of that and provided earplugs.
The breakfast is Chinese style and very healthy.
The laundry corner is good and the possibility to air dry the clothes under a covered area on the last floor.
The rooms were cleaned daily with the staff asking each day. They send you a message via WeChat asking you if you want to have it cleaned.
The staff answered to all of our questions about Dali and other.
They also provide a taxi booking service using a third service provider. Just make sure that you have the detail of the driver at least one day before. Ours didn’t show up but the staff explained and apologized for that unfortunate event.As well as pay back the fee we paid for it. DiDi is quite hard to get once the day starts but it’s easy to get out and try the different options: horse carriage, mini- car and taxi. During our stay we had no issues moving around. But on the departure day, if your flight is in the afternoon, I’ll recommend to rebook your ride to the airport.
The hotel is well decorated and gives you that feeling of being at home."

"This villa is located at the middle of the hill side where you can view the scenery Er Hai especially the top floor.
Booked a room that is located at the ground floor. Big and spacious room for the Family Friendly room. Had a free upgrade with a better view of scenery of the Er Hai but had to climb up the stairs. So stick back to my booking.
Their services is top notch. Before I arrive they make sure that I was being picked up. I used their recommended driver for 1 day tour around the whole of Dali. Daily breakfast was done at the timing that you wanted to have. Their afternoon tea snack has a variety of snacks to choose to. As we could not link to their local take away food delivery, they helped us, recommend the food.
Mini fridge all the drinks you can drink and they replaced it daily.
Their view and location is easily accessible by Didi. If coming back to Dali, I will come back and stay again."

"This stay was the most enjoyable place of my entire trip. The courtyard and room were so charming. It felt so comfortable to just sit in the courtyard and gaze at the stars.
The bedding and cleanliness were excellent. The room had smart home technology and a skylight so I could see the stars at night. The owner even placed fresh flowers in my room, which smelled wonderful at night! And there was fresh fruit every day!!!
I was even invited to dinner with the owner, and we had mushrooms that were so fresh they made my eyebrows drop! Hahahaha! The hostess also gave me tons of fruit and snacks I'd never tried before. She was so welcoming. The owner's dog was also adorable. It felt like home."

"This boutique hotel is located in a quiet and upscale neighborhood. All rooms have a large balcony with panoramic views of the Erhai Lake and Dali city. The amenities are excellent. Rooms are very clean and beautifully furnished with a modern touch. They offer a set menu of breakfast with two options: Chinese or western. Both are delicious. One can order additional portions of anything on the menu for free. The breakfast comes with multiple coffee options. There is an on-site restaurant offering delicious Thai style food for lunch and dinner. Staff members are super friendly and helpful. They offer free airport or train station pickup and drop offs. Also help guests arrange rental cars, photography sessions, etc. They helped us hire a car and driver, which was an excellent way to do a day-trip around the Erhai Lake. One thing to note is that I speak Chinese and I’m handy with using Chinese ride hailing apps. Since the hotel is located on the top of a hill, I would recommend taking a taxi or hail a ride going back (there is a shortcut going down the hill to the lake front). My family stayed for five nights at Aranya and very much enjoyed it. Would definitely want to stay there again on our next trip to Dali. Special thanks to manager Mr. Yang for arranging everything for us and for taking such great care of everyone!"

"The ceiling of Dali B&B is worth the stay experience of travel experts who like the style. What is different is that Jiudu is a private mansion tailored by the owner for himself, and he himself is the top luxury mansion designer in China. It was originally used for self-residence and reception of relatives and friends. Because the novelty has passed, seven rooms were taken out for B&B. Each room is luxuriously equipped, with an excellent location and angle for viewing the sea, and Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain are in full view. The seven guest rooms are actually equipped with two full-time aunts for cleaning, which is more secure than other B&Bs that use hourly workers for cleaning for profit purposes. I also searched for this small and beautiful B&B with zero negative reviews through Ctrip comments. I have to thank Ctrip's rating mechanism for being lucky enough to stay. I have seen that many negative reviews of Internet celebrity high-scoring B&Bs are just for show. The location is good and the appearance is beautiful and suitable for taking pictures. There are more complaints about the interior decoration and sanitation. Jiudu B&B is both inside and outside. You don't want to leave after staying in the hotel. It is very comfortable, cozy, clean and hygienic. Jiudu B&B is worth staying for a long time. It is the king of cost-effectiveness of high-end B&Bs. It is worth staying again and it is highly recommended."

JJingshumileThe room was spotless, and the bathroom was completely mold-free, which we really appreciated. The views were fantastic; we could admire Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake directly from our room. The lobby also offered breathtaking views, and we even met Saipan, an incredibly cute resident cat. We were so envious of Saipan, just lounging around all day, soaking in those gorgeous views! Our hostess was incredibly warm and attentive, ensuring everything was perfectly arranged. She even helped look after our child when they were playing in the lobby – truly above and beyond! The location is incredibly convenient for transit, being very close to the airport and not far from the high-speed rail station. The breakfast was also delicious, and our entire family was completely satisfied.

GGuest UserI stayed in a very cost-effective homestay in Dali. The environment is very beautiful. There is a hydrangea garden that is very suitable for taking pictures. There is also a tea room. You can drink tea in the afternoon and look at the bottomless sea on the terrace. The room facilities are very good, equipped with a Dyson hair dryer. The toiletries should also be branded and easy to use. There are also electric cars available to go around the sea nearby, recommended!

As a Malaysian traveler exploring Yunnan, I stayed at a homestay apartment near Erhai Lake—and here’s my honest take:
✅ Inside the homestay: Very clean, well-furnished, and cozy. Everything was nicely prepared and felt like a proper home. The highlight was definitely the stunning lake view right from our window—perfect for sunrise lovers.
👩💼 Host experience: The homestay staff was incredibly friendly and understanding. She even arranged a free ride from the railway station, which we truly appreciated after a long day of travel.
🚧 Outside facilities: This is where it gets a bit mixed. The overall apartment complex (including the parking lot and elevator) felt poorly maintained, and the atmosphere at night was dark and slightly eerie, especially for solo travelers or couples. Many neighboring units seemed unoccupied, which added to the quiet, empty vibe.
📍 Location: Take note—this place is about 50 minutes from Dali Ancient City, so it’s not ideal if you’re planning to explore the old town daily. But if you want to relax by the lake and enjoy peace and views, it could work.
Overall: Great homestay unit and host, but the apartment surroundings and distance might not suit everyone.

JJane.TI recently stayed at a hotel in Dali, Yunnan, and had an overall pleasant experience. The cleanliness of the room and common areas was impressive — everything was well-maintained and tidy, which made the stay comfortable and relaxing.
The service stood out as one of the highlights. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with directions or local recommendations. They made check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free.
But would like to comment on the photoshooting service that this hotel provided, although they stated it’s free, but each room ONLY FREE 5 PIECES NON EDIT photos no matter how many days you stay. So please don’t ask for this service if you don’t want your pocket to have a hole 🤣, would recommend you to have the traditional costume shoot in Lijiang or Shangrila which will cost in cheaper price where they can provide costume rental and full make up. This hotel they charge a very high price for the photoshooting if you want to buy the photos from them.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lijiang, if they like photoshooting. Or else you can stay in other better choices hotels.

GGuest UserThe best hotel experience of this trip is mainly due to the hotel's service. The butler, Liu, is very attentive and meticulous, which is the best service I've ever experienced. Super awesome!!! The hotel scenery is beautiful, located on the edge of Shuanglang Scenic Area, and every angle is very photogenic. The room facilities are complete and considerate, and there are very complete supplies for children, clean and tidy. There is a fruit plate when we arrive. In the evening, they also send good night milk, and the children really like the kittens in the shop. Butler Liu introduced the surrounding attractions, delicious food, and matters needing attention in detail, really considering for customers, and the experience is super good. Next time I come to Dali, I will stay here again👍

Eelyn13nestaThe Jixiashan brand generally lives up to its reputation. First and foremost, the location is superb and incredibly convenient, nestled right within the ancient city. It offers the best of both worlds: lively streets outside and serene tranquility once you're inside.
The hotel appears to have some age, but its physical facilities are impressively well-maintained. However, what truly stands out is the exceptional service. Every staff member, from their excellent attitude and strong service-mindedness to their seamless communication both online and offline, was absolutely fantastic.
Just a minor suggestion: for hot coffee, it might be worth considering different cups, as the current ones can get quite hot to hold.

RR.T.xDuring my recent stay at this hotel I had an excellent experience. The hotel itself was modern and spacious, offering all the comfort I needed. It was also located just outside the ancient town, which was only a short five-minute walk away, making it very convenient. There were also plenty of food options nearby, so I never had to worry about where to eat (thought honestly even if the restaurants nearby are not your liking it’s quite easy to get food delivered using one of the food delivery apps).
What truly set this place apart was the exceptional service from the manager. She was genuinely friendly and incredibly helpful, going out of her way to ensure I had a great stay. Since I arrived two days before the May Day holiday, she advised me to plan my trip around Er Hai Lake a day early to avoid the holiday crowds. I’m so grateful for this advice because my trip around the lake was smooth and enjoyable, with minimal crowds. By the time I was heading back to the hotel, I could already see the traffic building up with the incoming holiday tourists and I can only imagine how bad the traffic was around the lake the next day. According to the driver it is not uncommon to encounter standstill traffic at around parts of the lake requiring around 2-3 hours to clear during the peak periods.
Not only did she provide valuable advice, but she also arranged a driver for my lake trip on very short notice, and at a price much better than what I could find elsewhere. Her local knowledge didn’t end there—she recommended great places to eat and gave me tips on where to buy local specialties and what to avoid, which really helped me make the most of my time in Dali. One general tip would be to be selective of the stores in the ancient town as they might not offer the best value.
I would however recommend adding the hotel on WeChat prior to arriving just in the event that you encounter some difficulty in locating the hotel since it is not located along the main road, there is however direct road access to the main door of the hotel.
Overall, the hospitality here was outstanding, and I genuinely felt well taken care of. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dali.

GGuest UserFirst, the correct name of the hotel is Xiting not Yuting. There was a bit of misunderstanding over which room we booked, which I take to be the result of language communication between Trip.com and the hotel. But the manager was very sweet and Accommodating. The rooms are lovely and it’s in a good location in the old city but relatively quiet.

AAnonymous UserThis B&B appear on the outside to be new, (newly done or newly renovated) overall good but few tips to be improved :
1) for the room I stayed in to be added a standing light or additional ceiling lights as it's very dark.
2) the shower water doesn't seem to flow out and caused some mini flooding in the bathroom as water reached to the facial wash basin, nearing to the door. Suggest to add additional glass door to avoid such matter as I had to wash my hair in the sink to avoid flooding.
3) cleaning was superficially done but the tea cups were dusty, the hair in the bathroom were not removed
4) service were helpful but it still can be improved
