Just a few steps away from the lively ben thanh market. Wonderful night life surrounded by many cafes, massage places and good food options. There are traffic lights in this area making it easy and safe to cross the streets. But disappointed that the hotel lobby isn't air conditioned and that 1 of the 2 showers in each of the connecting rooms doesn't come with hot water. Only 2 small bottles of water free, it wasn't clear and they charged for the rest :/
Little Saigon Boutique Hotel

This was the perfect hotel for our Vietnam trip. At first we were a bit underwhelmed because the basic room was quite small (think Hong Kong small) but the staff were absolutely amazing and helpful and helped us change to a larger room with a great view of the city and a balcony. The hotel is small in a back alley, but that means it’s quiet away from the noisy street and cute and comfortable. It’s in a perfect location in District 1 for any and all tours, shopping, or any other plans you might make for HCMC. The continental breakfast is balanced with enough variety to last 4 to 5 days and the food caters to palates from Asia thru to the West. The staff are the highlight for this hotel, always cheerful and ready to help, we really appreciated the warm greetings and assistance from Shawn, Kelly, Ricky and Rosa. We definitely plan on staying here again when we come back to HCMC in the future.

A great hotel in the heart of town. Walking distance to a lot of major attractions, along with bars, shops and restaurants. And the roof top pool is a real bonus in a hot, humid city.
Rex Hotel

Staying at the Rex Hotel is like wandering onto the set of the 1932 MGM film ”Grand Hotel.” Morning begins with a lavish buffet breakfast in the Beaux-Arts-style ballroom. The host, wearing a tuxedo, welcomes you with a warm and enthusiastic smile. Then you'll take a swim in the gorgeous 6th floor pool under a tropical sky. Throughout the day, gracious staff members are available to make your stay a memorable one. In the evening, cocktails and dinner are served on the lovely rooftop, with sweeping views of the city. Indeed, when you stay at the Rex, you've finally experienced a Grand Hotel.

You can come by bus from the airport by 5000 . There is a large Ben Thanh market nearby, and the main tourist spots are also within walking distance, which is very convenient. There is no laundry that you can use yourself, but there is a laundry shop near the hotel and it seems that you can ask at the hotel (I don't use it, but there was a poster behind the counter). The room and shower room were clean and the bed was large. However, there are many gaps in the curtains and it is thin, so when I turned on the light inside, the silhouette came out clearly outside, which made me a little worried. There is a large locker and you can store plenty of luggage. I didn't care that the entrance was in the restaurant. You can use one bath towel a day, but I felt a little inconvenient that I couldn't get a new one unless I had an old one in the exchange system. Overall it was very good, so I would like to use it again.
