But everything else was ok. I was very pessimistic given the bad reviews that I have read. But I was VERY surprised. The receptionist did speak English and helped with my luggage. The room was as pictured. There was even hot water. There was no drinking water provided though but it wasn't a dealbreaker.

It is difficult to imagine this hotel was once three star quality. Frankly, it’s hard to believe this hotel could legitimately earn one star. The promotional photographs provided on various booking websites and the property’s website are simply not accurate. According to the hotel, they are for “illustration purposes” and are not actual hotel rooms in this hotel. I paid for an upgraded superior deluxe room and the pictures speak for themselves. My room was neither superior, nor deluxe. Dingy, old, rundown, Blank walls, thin, worn mattress, moldy bathroom fixtures, worn out carpet, non-functional light switches, and I could go on. From a practical standpoint, there are no power outlets near the bed - I had to charge my phone in the bathroom where one of the two power outlets was broken. This hotel’s best days are behind it. Many rooms here have no windows, which is why I upgraded to a Superior Deluxe, which has a window but only in the technical sense. Mine has a window that looks out into darkness. See the picture below taken at mid-day. No light whatsoever. Just a physical window. The room obviously used to be a smoking room. Smoking is no longer permitted but my room as well as the corridor do have the odor of stale cigarette smoke. The cigarette burns on the furniture remain evident. My advice is to choose a bite that has a well-established reputation. There are many with comparable prices. I hope my review can save at least one traveler from the great disappointment that would otherwise await them at Bong Sen.

This hotel room blew me away! Impeccably clean, it felt like a cozy haven. The shower was a spa-level experience – hot water on demand, fantastic pressure. Everything was in top-notch condition, making my stay incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend for a delightful and rejuvenating getaway! 👏

Awesome place! Great location, close to everything. It's a brand new hotel, it just opened. It has a brand new washer & dryer to use, so you don't have to take your laundry anywhere. Great Location, walking distance to most attractions and lots of great restaurants and bars nearby. The rooms are nicely decorated and spacious. Breakfast was very good with great selection of local and international food. Service was good and very hospitable. The only flaw I would point out is that the pool is a bit old and doesn't have any view.

Very old & tired room, mouldy bathroom, tap water. Our standing shower water didn't run smoothly, always got flooded and takes a while to drain out the water. Good point is their location is perfect for muslim traveller, whole stretch of the street opposite of halal muslim restaurant. Situated at the well known Malaysian street. Helpful staff assisting us with our luggage upon arrival & check out. Friendly staff (the guy with a spec) who checked us in. Do take note hotel doesn't have any universal adaptor & therefore we had to purchase 1 from the shop outside. And only 1 lift to accommodate hotel guests access to every level which runs really really slow. Restaurant place for breakfast is really small to accommodate the huge crowd. We came down at 630am and the place is really crowded. Halal breakfast with varieties of choice to eat. Before coming here, I heard Aluna has revamp the hotel but sadly not really clean and really outdated room. Maybe a pass for this.

I arrived at dawn on a backpacking trip and stayed in a 4-person dormitory room to sleep for a while until the morning. The accommodation itself was very nice and I was very satisfied. Compared to bunk bed dormitories, the bed was hotel-style, so it was comfortable, and the curtains were good, so personal privacy wasn't bad. A bit like a Japanese capsule hotel? However, there was a feeling that the storage space was a bit lacking around the bed except for the large locker. Also, the thing that came to be lacking the most was that hot water did not come out. I thought it wouldn't come out because it was dawn, so I washed it and waited for the next day, but it didn't come out the next day either, so I took a cold shower. However, it was not completely cold water because it was Southeast Asia, but it was cold enough to take a shower. Anyway, it is positively evaluated for being able to check in early in the morning.

NOT the best hotel if you need space and comfort, but it makes up with its Super location, cannot get better. % to 10 mins walk from what ever you need to see/ Go/ whatever. Breakfast is average, nothing that you'd go back for. Pateience is what you need, especially when communicating, but that again, applies mostly all over Vietnam. GET your milk, if you need it, its not available in the room.

I have a business trip in Jan 2023 for a week. I booked 6 nights to stay in this hotel which is just next to Ben Thành Market. The hotel is clean and comfortable. But the shower knob is difficult to turn. Staff is ok. The location is very good for money exchange. The price is very reasonable. I was arranged at lower floor, it was a bit noisy. If you are looking for a hotel in Quan 1. Recommended but please ask for higher floor.

Roseland Sweet Hotel is a value for money hotel; and there would be many other similar hotels easily found online. But what made Roseland stand out was one of their staff Kiet Anh, who is a bellboy, front desk, concierge all rolled into one. The week I was there, he was working everyday and all hours, I practically see him all the time whenever i'm at the lobby, whether I am going out or coming back. His bright, cheerful and friendly demeanour plus his very personal touch is on par with the service found only at the 5 or 6 star hotels. He was what made the difference for me staying at Roseland; which otherwise would be a good but pretty average hotel. Roseland is indeed very fortunate to have employed a staff like him; and given time and the right grooming would make an excellent management personnel in the hospitality industry. My choice of hotel will still be Roseland for my next coming trip, but only if Kiet is there.
