A cosy, small hotel, with an unrivaled ambience and a 5 star view to the valley. The personnel is friendly and always ready to help, the rooms are little worn, but spacy, the windows large and clean. The breakfast was excellent, local fresh bread, a variety of cheeses, hams, plenty of yoghurt, musli, jams and even a small cake. You can sit outside during the day, there are tables and chairs around the hotel. Dog friendly place if you plan to bring your furry friend along. All in all, a home away from home with a kind, welcoming staff. The best, it’s a 15 min walk to the schloss and the Altstadt.

The hotel is a pretty villa in a very quiet area. The breakfast is OK but not better than Ibis standards. The real problem was that room 35 smelled very unpleasantly of sewer or drains. They were obviously aware of this because the windows were open despite the cool temperatures. When I pointed this out to reception the next morning, I got a rather tortured smile. So they knew, but didn't apologize. You can't expect guests to put up with that and I don't need to do it again.

The rooms are shabby and do not meet the requirements of a 3-star category at all. When we opened the business room we had booked, we were hit by a strong musty smell. We had to air the room for over 30 minutes. After asking reception where you can turn on the heating in the room, I was told that you cannot turn on the heating. It would switch on automatically at a low temperature. With an outside temperature of around 10 degrees Celsius, the radiator was not switched on all evening. Important: Don't forget to bring a thick wool blanket with you when booking. The shower curtain was the highlight - it certainly does not correspond to category three of a hotel in Heidelberg/Germany.

A pleasant stay in a typical business hotel. Friendly, helpful service. The location above the famous castle has its own special charm. We would visit again any time for a stay in Heidelberg.

Als wir zum Hotel fuhren, freuten meine Familie und ich uns sehr über die wunderschöne Lage. Sobald wir im Zimmer ankamen, wurden wir jedoch enttäuscht. Das Zimmer war eher mäßig sauber, die Handtücher sahen neu aus aber hatten Flecken. Im Bad war Schimmel. Generell war das gesamte Zimmer sehr alt und heruntergekommen, große Flecken auf den Möbeln und die Matratzen waren sehr durchgelegen. Das Frühstück war okay, aber nichts besonderes. Das Personal war nicht wirklich freundlich, eher gleichgültig. Echt schade, da das Hotel mit dieser atemberaubenden Lage echt Potenzial hätte. Für eine Nacht war es okay, für mehr dann aber lieber woanders.
