She took the other two room cards and asked me to choose one by myself. I chose 346, which is a corner room, much larger than the previous one. The toilet and bathroom are two separate rooms, which is very good. There is also a separate cloakroom. The room window faces the small garden, which is very beautiful. Because the hotel is composed of several houses, they also explained that each room and apartment are different. You can express your preferences when checking in next time. The breakfast is great. It is the best experience of my trip to Germany this time. Of course, the room price is also the most expensive. This is the first time I have seen a hotel with more waiters than guests. There are free drinks at breakfast. This is the only one I have encountered. Hotels run by aristocrats are different. They pay attention to every detail. As soon as you check in, they will put flowers, give you small desserts and welcome cards. All these details really make people feel happy from the bottom of their hearts!

Convenient location with easy access to both Autobahn and historic Heidelberg via tram stop just outside the door. Free, safe parking. Hotel owners trained in USA and speak fluent English. Unusual for a traditional German hotel, clean rooms are air-conditioned and accessible by elevator. Comfortable beds made for a great night's sleep. Wonderful breakfast included in price. Bar offers great food and astounding variety of spirits and cocktails. Car aficionados: take note of hood ornaments displayed in typically ”gemütlich” restaurant Stube. Wish we could have stayed for more than one night. Highly recommended!

We walked to the hotel from the hautbahnhof, not far, about 800m A little far from the old town, maybe 20-30 minutes walk, but we got plenty of exercise. We could have taken a tram if we wished though from close to the hotel. Our Premium room was very good. Very spacious and comfortable. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming (especially Babu who we enjoyed talking to very much) Beer prices for the Heidelberger beer very competitive (unusual for a hotel bar) and a free drink for every day we didn't have housekeeping. The room was a bit warm for us but we would open the window to cool down for a while. Not sure how it would work in summer as the air-conditioning didn't do much. We would recommend this hotel and would stay here again if we return to Heidelberg.

Stayed here with family in May 2024. Very nice hotel, tastefully decorated. We stayed in the annexe, just 50m from the hotel in a very large room. Staff were extremely helpful and polite. Hotel is a 20 min walk to the old town but as hotel is close to the river we took our stroll that way. Highly recommended, we would stay there again.

This was my first stay at the Exzellenz Hotel and I was quite pleased. It is within easy walking distance of Bismarkplatz and the start of the Altstadt Hauptstraße. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and updated. And the front desk staff were very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to give me the information I was looking for. The breakfast was typical of what you would expect from a German hotel and, overall, I was very satisfied with the value of my stay.

We are so glad we choose this hotel it was excellent. All the staff are professional and really friendly from the lady receptionist to the guy cleaning rooms to the guy we met at breakfast who seemed to be the manager. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was immaculate with comfortable beds. We were unsure about booking the breakfast but were so glad we did. There was a great range of food and the omelettes cooked to order were delicious. The parking and central location were great. We couldn’t fault it. It isn’t cheap but we felt it was worth it.

Located in the very close to the city but quietly, this hotel offers very clean apartments and the welcome is really very warm. The room for four is large enough to welcome everyone you don't walk over, the bedroom is of good quality and the bathroom is very clean. We managed to find an open table along the popular street “Hauptstrasse.” There is also seating inside. The restaurant is actually called Ritterstube at Hotel Ritter. It was a beautiful early June day filled with the ambiance of the street and across from the scenic church, Heilggeistkirche. We thought our service was just fine, prompt and friendly. We first ordered cold beers. I did have a sausage with sauerkraut and potatoes with mustard on the side. Everything was delicious. We were there well over an hour and enjoyed every minute.

Very good, except for a small bug crawling on my hand, maybe because I live near the road and the beach and the floor is low. Dener hotel was very good. You can walk around. The tram and buses are leaving near the hotel. The river is very close. You find yourself on the streets where you have historic houses. There is no lift. There is a very nice seat in the room. I wish it had a chair. No sac dryer. The room is clean and comfortable. We were very happy. We will try to come back.
