Booked executive double room garden view , very satisfied with the room . Spacious bedroom and also bathroom . Feeling very classy . The garden is really beautiful , you can enjoy west lake without going out the hotel . We were offered a bed gate as we bring our one year old daughter, very thoughtful of them. The breakfast spread is quite good as we had our dietary restrictions but still can enjoy the breakfast because of the wide varieties. One of the staff can speak english so it was easy for us during check in and check out .

Traditional Chinese style hotel with gorgeous grounds and perfect location. Lake front with amazing view of the lake. There are trails from the hotel, walking along the lake to the busy/popular areas, restaurants and all. Early morning walk is highly recommended.
Facilities are very clean and well kept. Breakfast is sumptuous and nice. Service is great even though English can be a bit of an issue. Not that we complained, we like it that way since it feels a lot more authentic. We had lot of fun with translation app. Haha

The location itself is perfect. But unfortunately when ordering taxi or didi, the map will direct the taxi to the main road which is about 3-4mins walk from the hotel and not to the hotel itself. That is the only drawback otherwise the hotel is perfect.
The surrounding is peaceful and beautiful, the staffs are attentive and the room is clean. Breakfast also has wide variety and tasteful.
Overall we're very satisfied with our stay here.

Our stay at the hotel was wonderful, the staff was extremely helpful and attentive, and the in house car services helped us getting to popular places such as the Lin yin si temple with much ease as compared to regular taxi. The view by the Xi hu was unbeatable as well, would definitely return in the future!

The hotel location is by the splendid Westlake, with its own private section of the lakeside overlooking Leifeng pagoda. The view was breathtaking! Immediately after check in, we enjoyed an afternoon tea by the lake to soak in the atmosphere and didn’t go anywhere until dinner. The kids had plenty of space in the family room, very comfortable for family of four.

Hotel is located on the east side of West Lake amongst a stunning backdrop with curated gardens. Staff are lovely and speak good English. Look forward to staying again!

Come to check in at this West Lake State Guesthouse with a reasonable price on weekends. Unexpectedly, it brings an unexpected surprise.
Historical background: Formerly the third guesthouse of the Hangzhou government, each historical building was once a solidified memory, from the Imperial Garden in the Southern Song Dynasty to the Xia Family Garden in the Republic of China (the residence of Zhejiang Governor Xia Chao). Chairman Mao also walked in the courtyard with Ho Chi Minh to discuss relevant decisions on resisting the United States and aiding Vietnam. Zhou Enlai and Chen Yi also visited.
Public area: With the blessing of excellent geographical location and natural landscape, only a little repair is needed to reach a high score level, not to mention that this garden is not bad. The green plant construction and courtyard layout are very harmonious, which highlights the artistic conception of West Lake. It is 50 meters away from West Lake and it is quite pleasant to overlook the Leifeng Pagoda and the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon.
