Hangzhou West Lake Liuyingli Hotel

The location and natural surroundings are, as expected, outstanding. Compared to Wang Zhuang where I've stayed before, this place is smaller and more refined. The rooms are a bit small, but the big advantage is the direct view of the most scenic part of the garden and West Lake. Opening the window to see the greenery is truly refreshing. Breakfast is exquisite. The hotel staff are also very professional, with the exception of one male receptionist at check-in who was a bit inflexible and spoke rather stiffly. All other staff were smiling, polite, and provided excellent service. The beautiful waitress at the Chinese restaurant even remembered me from dinner the night before when I came for breakfast the next day and greeted me warmly. Mr. Sun Wei from the concierge helped me with my luggage both at check-in and check-out. Mr. Zheng from the car team drove us to the most scenic part of Jiuxi and patiently waited for us while we enjoyed stream tracing; my child was happy, and I was relaxed. The coffee shop is tranquil, and the female staff there are thoughtful. I'm already planning for my parents to visit again!

Great location, with views that surpass even those of the Xihu State Guest House and Wang Zhuang in terms of pure scenery. You get panoramic views of West Lake. The room was small but the bathroom was quite spacious. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was good. I'll definitely stay here again.

The lush greenery and beautiful scenery, with the elegant and refined overall layout of the gardens, are truly captivating. The food at Wenying Hall is delicious, making it a place I'd happily visit again. The room was a bit small, and the facilities were a little dated, though well-maintained. The soundproofing wasn't great. It's a great spot to enjoy tea or coffee while taking in the views.

Our trip to West Lake was made even more memorable by our stay at Liuyingli. We're grateful for the warm room service, including the birthday cake. The hotel's location is truly a rare find by West Lake, offering a unique tranquility in the former Xia Mansion.

The moment I stepped out of the car, I was blown away. The most exquisite views of West Lake unfolded right before my eyes. While the garden isn't as grand as the other two state guesthouses, it's still charming and beautiful in its own right. The room type I stayed in was a bit small, but the bathroom was huge, almost the same size as the room itself 😂. Overall, the service was pretty standard, always feeling a bit distant, which might be typical for government guesthouses. What I do have to complain about is the service at the Chinese restaurant. They charged a 15% service fee, but when the large bowl of Pian'er Chuan noodles arrived, they didn't offer to divide it for us. Even after seeing us struggling to pick out the noodles, they still didn't offer to help, which quite surprised me 😳. Even hotels that don't charge a service fee wouldn't do that.😅

Located right by West Lake, the hotel boasts beautiful scenery and convenient access to attractions. The breakfast spread is impressive, and the service is excellent. We particularly enjoyed the authentic local snacks. The hotel also offers a shuttle service to nearby attractions, which is incredibly helpful.

I chose this state guesthouse for a relaxing few days by West Lake, and the reviews said it was the smallest. However, after experiencing it, the location is absolutely superb. It's a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, close to 'Orioles Singing in the Willows.' A small lane leads you in, shielding you from the noise outside. The hotel boasts a Jiangnan garden style, with over 400 meters of lake shoreline. You can see Leifeng Pagoda just by looking up, and in the distance, the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon island. The service is very attentive; every staff member greets you. Although the room isn't large, it's well-equipped, and the amenities are good and comfortable. Breakfast is quite rich and features Hangzhou specialties. I'd choose this place again if I have the chance.

This is my fourth stay at Willow Warbler House, and this time I was truly able to relax, unwind, and recharge. This was all thanks to Xiao Huang at the front desk, who arranged a room that was even more comfortable and wonderful than I had hoped for. Many thanks to the front desk manager for always thinking of the guests! Also, breakfast has improved significantly; focusing on quality over quantity is definitely the right approach. I hope Willow Warbler House continues to improve and becomes a sanctuary for busy city dwellers!
