Best Hotels in Hamilton Island, Australia

The island is not large. The main hotels on the island are concentrated on catseye beach, and checkin is in the same reef hotel next door. Overall good, the staff I saw were basically smiling service. The room was a bit small, so it was called a bungalow, with a kitchen and no oven. Baby kangaroos can be seen at the door in the morning and dusk.

Facilities: good. The sea view room has a small balcony where you can see the sea, which is very comfortable. Hygiene: good. Environment: The location is very convenient. Most of the attractions can be picked up at the store. It is also convenient to go to the airport and other islands. Service: The service is good. They took the initiative to help me consolidate my orders and upgrade my room.

We drove up from Melbourne towing our boat and stayed in a deluxe 2 bedroom cabin (sleeps 6) for 5 nights 26/6/23 to 1/7/23 - It was INCREDIBLE. This was our best family holiday so far. 2 adults and 2 kids (5 and 2). Our cabin was right next to the park and jumping pillow which was perfect! The play equipment was great and kept the kids entertained for hours as well as all the other kids staying in the park. Boat was easy to park just behind our cabin, others had parked their trailers/caravans there too so plenty of room while you’re there for storage. Our cabin was stunning. It was huge, full kitchen, lounge, dinner table, bathroom with a washer and dryer, tvs in both bedrooms and the lounge! Everything was super comfy and worked smoothly without issues. So good to be able to relax in your own space with everything you need and not take any dirty washing home! Only minor comment is that there was free wifi but it’s temperamental so we weren’t able to connect at all - didn’t bother us but just so you know. The pool was crystal clear salt water, huge, toddler pool also and a water park. Not heated so lovely and refreshing! The kids and us were fully entertained and enjoyed hours splashing in both. These facilities far outweigh other parks in the area and I wouldn’t choose any other park with kids. Hands down the way to go. The grounds are pristine and well kept, lush and so beautiful. So much space to play and walk and enjoy. Pedal carts were fun and games room took spare change haha! Reception staff always kind and helpful ready to go above and beyond. We had booked a room and tried to change it online but had issues through the booking company and extra fees. When we checked in they advised they upgraded us for free! AMAZING!! We rode into town for dinner and sightseeing a few nights/days and it was 3.5km, an easy ride our 5 year old managed no issues. Jubilee tavern is super close and has an awesome playground for kids. Also a great skate park just up from that and in Airlie an epic park too.so convenient to the park. We 300% recommend Discovery Parks Airlie Beach and WILL DEFINITELY be back to stay many more times. We loved our stay at The Boathouse Apartments! The rooms were spacious and super clean with an amazing view over the marina. Staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough to help. We loved the pool and tennis court and there’s a great coffee shop downstairs The location is one of the best in Airlie - an easy flat walk up to the Main Street, lagoon and cruise terminal. Everything we needed was close by. Will definitely stay here again.

The Mirage is a gorgeous hotel with modern rooms and breathtaking views. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment (room 53) which overlooked the sea and the pool. The apartment was spacious and had all amenities. It’s a 5min cab ride to the main ***** in Airlie Beach which costs $10 each way. The hotel also offer a free shuttle at 10:30am and 2:30pm daily which was handy. Now to go over the not so great aspects of hotel. The rug in room 53 is stained, dirty and I had to ask for someone to come up to vacuum it when I arrived because I didn’t want my baby crawling on it. Even with the vacuum it was still disgusting. The rug needs to go! The bed heads need to be replaced as the material is flaking and gets all over the bed. The shower screens were not cleaned at all. Standard of cleaning must be improved. The breakfast is pretty average, presentation, quality and variety needs to be improved. The portable clothes line in our laundry was old and broken, needed to be thrown out and not offered to guests in that state. Overall we had an enjoyable stay.

Sam if it wasn't for your professional service we would not have chosen this hotel! You made our experience unforgettable. The restaurant is amazing, the food is very delicious! I thank you so much for making our kids experience unforgettable, my kids loved the way you treated them and literally told me we haven't had the best customer service before, this is the best place for families! My husband and I booked a Deluxe King Spa Room for 5 nights, 6 days including continental breakfast. Overall we were happy with our stay. Staff were friendly, room was clean, the pool area was lovely. Only small complaints are that the pillows were not very comfortable and the bathroom needs updating, the water pressure in the shower was very bad. The restaurant in the resort was lovely for our daily breakfasts but very expensive. If you wanted hot food for breakfast you had to pay for it and the price of $5 for a hash brown, $5 for bacon and $3 for a poached egg was exuberant. We realised that the inclusive continental breakfast did not include hot breakfast foods. The choice of other breakfast foods was ok. I, personally would like to give a shout out to Christina at reception for looking after me when I needed a special favour 😊.

We absolutely loved this place. To stay Monica on the desk was so helpful and is honestly a great asset to the holiday park! We stayed in the tropical villa which is so spacious and has aircon in each room. Within 10 minutes of us arriving me cancelled out next accommodation in Airlie Beach and booked another night at the reception desk in the villa. The pool was great and the bird feeding was very cool. This park would be incredible for family’s, but even us, as a group of friends loved it! The only downside was the walk to the centre of Airlie, it’s a good 20 minute walk in the heat, we chose to taxi to save ourselves. Overall it’s a beautiful holiday park , I would recommend to anybody coming to Airlie😊

Wonderful accommodation, exactly what we wanted from our stay. Clean cabins, no fault that we could find. On the last day, it rained heavily and we were unable to get a taxi to town and catch a bus to the airport. The owner kindly gave our group a lift into the town, with no expectation of any reward. 10/10
