Typical Japanese hotel. Bedroom has 2 comfortable tatami beds. Ridiculous private onsen. In fact it is a small tiled bathtub. Good restaurant and breakfast. Shuttle to Hakone Station. Lake Ashi without much interest…like Hakone. Unseen Mount Fuji.

I stayed here because of the good reviews. I stayed in a room with a semi-open-air bath, and there was a musty smell coming from the hallway leading to the room. As expected, the room smelled of mold and the window was stuck and wouldn't open, so I couldn't ventilate it and felt sick. The provided shampoo and conditioner have been reduced by more than half, making me feel like I'm living a life. Meals are served on a two-part rotation system, and you will not be served unless the time is exactly right. There was a long line to be shown to a seat and the announcements were poor. A mysterious chawanmushi that contained onions, potatoes, and rice cakes. The soup stock wasn't delicious, so the dishes that used it tasted half-baked. It was nice to see fireflies in June. I saw a lot of effort, but there was no repeat. The accommodation was not worth paying just under 70,000 yen for two people.
