Long time haven’t been to Hakone, It was a good anniversary trip for us! Overall very good service and Shabushabu is great! Specially thank for their reservation team, very polite and respond is very fast and helpful!

Ten-yu is amazing. We were impressed from the moment we stepped into the lobby. The kind staff allowed us an early check-in at 1 p.m. and arranged lounge services for our three-day, two-night stay. While the breakfast buffet was exceptional—an extensive spread paired with bubbles and wine—the Kaiseiki dinner was a bit disappointing in comparison. We were fortunate to experience a picturesque snowfall that transformed the hotel’s surroundings into a postcard-like scene, and since we drove, getting around was never an issue despite the snow. The staff were thoughtful throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Ten-yu at Hakone Kowakien is a luxurious escape nestled in nature. The private onsen in every room, featuring Shigaraki-yaki bathtubs, is pure bliss. The infinity onsen on the 6th floor offers breathtaking views, especially at sunset. We loved the teppanyaki dinner at the historic Guest House, a true culinary experience. The serene valley garden is perfect for a relaxing stroll. The staff was attentive and the overall atmosphere was incredibly tranquil. Highly recommend for a rejuvenating getaway! Don't miss the delicious sashimi and crab for breakfast!

I highly recommend Hakone Kowakien Ten-Yu for anyone looking to immerse themselves in Japan’s hot spring culture. The hotel’s beautifully designed open-air onsen baths provide a tranquil retreat, and the nearby Yunessun hot spring theme park adds a fun and unique twist to the experience. One of the nicest hotel I've been to so far! The buffet breakfast selections are crazy, crabs for breakfast? Count me in! From my room, there's a crazy view of the Hakone valleys especially during sunsets.
The staff are very nice people who provided the best for my stay. I was celebrating my anniversary with my partner and they offered a free pass to the bar & lounge.

One of the best hotel I’ve stayed throughout my Japan trip. Service was excellent. The room and the bathtub was good and really comfortable.
My partner and I felt the dinner and the breakfast was really good. High quality ingredients and lots of variety.
I would recommend going to the open air public onsen to check out the view (when it is not foggy).

This is probably one of the best and relaxed trip we ever had. Welcome service is fabulous and friendly.Ten-Yu had an amazing Onsen we enjoyed everyday several times which it switches everyday from 5th floor and 6floor daily. At night we had hot spring with an open outdoor hot spring with star and Mountain View.
