This Ryokan is an absolute gem. It’s small and has only limited rooms which makes it perfekt for a quiet stay. Dinner and breakfast were filling and tasty - I’d always recommend the Japanese dinner/breakfast. It’s my third time in Hakone and I’ve been in big ryokans so far - this one felt way more homely. For the three Onsen you can make a reservation and book those privately for 50 min. I’ll definitely come back on my next trip - also because of the staff :-)

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The traditional Japanese room was spacious and super comfy. The onsen facilities were definitely the highlight, way better than I expected for the price we paid. They have 3 types: 1 indoor, 1 outdoor and 1 mixed. All these are bookable throughout the day, from 7am to 11pm and they are completely private. The ryokan is 15 minutes walking from Gora station, so if you arrive by train and you have luggage I recommend you check on google map how to get there with a bus, otherwise you’ll have to walk uphill for a while. The only negative point I can find is probably the breakfast, I tried both western and Japanese style, they are both quite pricy for what they are and I personally did not enjoy the Japanese one. Despite this I would totally come back if I ever visit Hakone again.

Not a bad ryokan. Kaiseki for the evening is great! 10 courses, but I didn't like the Japanese breakfast at all, take the European one. Onsen can only be booked for yourself for a specific time for 1 hour in the evening and 1 hour in the morning, but you need to pay an extra 150 yen per person. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the railway station, about 15 minutes on foot for sure, but fortunately it's not uphill. There is also a bus stop nearby, but it runs infrequently. You need to plan the schedule

I really liked the ryokan. Very beautiful and clean private onsen - two indoors, one outside Amazing kaiseki (dinner and breakfast) - incredible snacks and a large portion of meat for frying yourself Very polite staff The ryokan is traditional, the building is old, the renovation is a bit tired, but don't let this stop you: there is everything you need for a comfortable stay and immersion in bath culture

Beautiful hotel with Ryokan style. We had a super spacious Japanese-style room, fully decorated and prepared like a traditional Japanese house. Totally clean. Of good level. They provided us with all the amenities and tea and coffee. The hotel has a spa area and today springs that are reserved for private use, providing a beautiful and true experience of Japanese baths.

🏨 Reserve a family room, big room in the hotel. Because staying with friends love the japanese style room There is also a seat to make tea in the morning with friends. The hotel is right on the cable car route. There is an onsen at the hotel too, which can be used both out door 🚪 and in door.
