Beautiful resort in the middle of a remote forest area, perfect for relaxation and connecting with nature. The rooms are cosy and clean. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, with chefs preparing freshly made dishes right in front of you! We did find a bug in the room but the hotel is in the middle of the nature so we didn't mind really. The onsen was ok but it was not mixed. Note that if you are not arriving by car and you have luggage, the hotel is uphill so better contact the staff in advance so they can arrange a pick up for you.

The hotel's condition doesn’t match the photos you can find online. It is not well maintained, the garden and trees are not taken care of, and the facility is getting old with molds and paint peeling in the rooms. Extremely cheap room speakers, no television, cheap hairdryer, cheap amenities. Not what we are expecting for such a price. I paid 95,000¥ for one night without dinner included. Overpriced.

The hotel environment and the hospitality of the staff were the best!
Of course there was the hot spring, but there was also free sake at FREE BIRD & Terrace until dinner, and cafe service by a barista. There was no TV in the room, but they played music and we were able to spend a relaxing and wonderful time. However, the taste of the dinner seemed to have deteriorated slightly since the last time we were here, perhaps because the chef had changed. Even with that out of the way, it was a hotel that made me want to come back. We really had a great time.

Being in the forest was truly refreshing.
Breakfast was also delicious.

The hotel is located in the mountains of Hakone, a little further inside than many famous hotels in Hakone. The hotel is very large.
