The hotel is quite old, and the interior decoration is good. We booked a detached house with a hot spring bathroom and toilet, and breakfast and dinner were included. The breakfast and dinner were quite rich, and the quantity was basically full. The service was thoughtful and the hygiene was very good. It is very close to the train station, just a short walk down the hill, and it is very convenient to get in and out. The hotel service is very good and they speak English.

First of all, it is a very wise decision to stay in Gora when going to Hakone. The scenery along the mountain tram is so surprising. It takes only five minutes to get to the hotel from Gora Station. It is full of age and old-fashioned feeling. The facilities are a little old, but it is clean and sufficient. It is said that this hotel has received various Japanese celebrities. Special reminder, no reservation is required for the open-air hot spring, but there is no bathing and washing inside. It is recommended to wash in the room before going. Of course, there are private baths in the room, so students with tattoos don’t have to worry. The food is good, very rich and beautiful, and there are almost no thunder items. However, the hotel does not provide free toothbrushes. You can buy them at the hotel if you need them, 100yan. You can visit the parks and art galleries near Gora Station, and then take the cable car to Lake Ashi.

Very clean ryokan with a convenient location! It looks like it's quite old, but it's been very well looked after. The onsen is cool, at first I was upset that I didn’t book a room with a private onsen (there seems to be one), but in the end I was alone in the general onsen several times) The food is great, very unusual dishes. You won't be able to taste such traditional cuisine anywhere else. In general, I recommend it!

The weather was just right for the May Day trip to stay at Huancuilou. The kids were very excited to sleep on tatami for the first time. But looking at the thin glass wall door and paper door, I am not sure if it is a good choice in autumn and winter. The service was very thoughtful. From entering the hotel to going to the bathroom in my room, I changed my slippers 5 times 😂 I felt the OCD of Japan. The hotel transportation is convenient. Gora tram station is a 3-minute walk away, and the nearest Lawson is a 10-minute walk away. If you want to take a taxi, you need to make an appointment in advance or go to Gora Station to try your luck. The environment of the hotel itself is very beautiful. I can understand why Liang Qichao stayed for a month.

The room is clean and comfortable. I will choose this hotel again next time. The experience is very good and the service is very thoughtful. The supporting toiletries, tea, coffee and mineral water are all complete.

Very authentic old-style Japanese inn, the environment is very good, on a summer afternoon, open the courtyard door outside is the nature, listen to the cicadas fall asleep. This is one of the few natural hot springs and private hot springs. It is very historical, but the facilities are not new, the service is normal, there is no discomfort. It is not far from Gora Station, about a few hundred meters, but there is a slope, and there is a 20-meter gravel road in front of the hotel, so be careful if you have a lot of luggage.

Dinner and breakfast are all sumptuous! But I have to complain a little bit. Maybe it’s because my taste is relatively bland, but Japanese food is really salty🥹. Kaiseki cuisine is slightly better... The scenery in the courtyard is amazing! The most anticipated thing is the outdoor hot spring. I ran there in the morning when the baby was still awake (you can start soaking at 6 a.m.!). The early morning sunrise + morning fog + red leaves 🍁 couldn’t be more perfect! PS This little shop even hosted the Emperor! give it a like! If you want to experience a traditional Japanese hotel, go for it!

It's quite old, but the service is good. The two Huancuilou are different, I ordered the wrong one, but I think the hardware of this one will be better.

It's very close to the station. It's just downhill from Gora Station. Dining rooms are all arranged. The old hotel is very nostalgic, but the toilet has no air conditioning and is outside the corridor. It's a bit tragic. The view from the room is beautiful and you can see the sun. I was very lucky. There was no one when I went to the open-air hot spring. I was very lucky.

Although the hotel has a sense of age, the staying experience is very good! Clean, quiet, elegant, and very close to Gora train station, although pushing luggage up and downhill is a bit tiring.

However, what is particularly speechless is that there was a Chinese lady who came down from the hot spring without taking a bath. After I told her, she was very reluctant to rinse with water and came down, and then she took her mobile phone to make a video call. We ran away quickly. I carefully looked at the signboard and there was no requirement to bring mobile phones. It was really disgusting. Then I went to the outdoor hot spring and met two foreigners who were dressed neatly and walked back. I guess they didn't take a bath either. The management is too bad. I don't want to go there anymore. Hotels that mainly serve international tourists do not seriously teach tourists how to take a hot spring bath and do not provide sufficient guidance and management. I think the hotel is more responsible than ignorant tourists.
