Excellent accommodation and the location is to die for if MtFuji and the lake is what you’re looking for. A very quiet area in the morning and at night when the tour buses are gone. For those looking to book, here are a few tips we found out to help you out. There’s no receptionist so you will have to figure out how to get in so do not walk on the street side but walk over to the lake side and enter. Otherwise if you enter from the street side, the first pin pad you see is the wrong one. If it’s in front of the door marked “private” then the door code won’t work. Walk around to the front and look for glass doors. That’s where you can enter your door code. The onsen water is extremely hot. Maybe that’s how onsen works but I couldn’t stay for more than 5 minutes as I got dizzy. The loft area is low ceilings but my kids loved sleeping there. However the food here isn’t great so plan accordingly. The 7-11 close by has great snacks. If I ever return to Hakone I would stay here again.

The house was clean and the owner was very nice. The location was a bit far away from the main road. You may need to drive a narrow path up the hill to the house, but it brought you to a lovely forest. We enjoyed so much during the stay. The environment of the house was fantastic. It was surrounded by tall trees and the area inside the house was huge. We enjoyed cooking at the kitchen which was equipped with various kinds of utensils and electric appliances. The Hi-fi audio system was charming which you should never miss it. It was an unforgettable stay and we would come back again in future. Cheers.

The location is great! It’s right at the side of the lake and next to 7-11 as well as many eateries. However, if you would like to cook, the grocery stall is 10+km away. Do get the groceries on the way. It very quiet. A good place for families to gather and relax.

Everything was great. The view, location, amenities, apartment facilities. We enjoyed our stay very much. One small thing though, an access code is required to enter the premises. We did not receive our code though the hotel said they have sent it via trip. Good thing we gave them a call a few hours ahead to ask for the code and managed to enter fuss free.

Amazing place!

“Lake Ashi’s first choice for families” The first room on the ground floor has 2 double beds, and the attic can accommodate 2 middle-aged children with Japanese futons. There is a bathroom with a private bath, a toilet, an open kitchen, a living room and an outdoor garden. For self-driving tours, you can park for free in the outdoor parking lot on the first floor. There is a convenience store opposite. It takes about 5 minutes to walk from the Hakone Port Terminal.

The best hotel in this trip to Japan, but it is not recommended for the elderly to stay, it is fully self-service

I took my family on a free trip without a car. The hotel is conveniently located and has a nice view. It is fully equipped with cooking utensils and both hot springs and foot baths. It is worth coming back👍🏻

The environment and service facilities are very good, but when I woke up the next day, I found that the bed was moldy. The mold spots were clearly visible. I don't know how long it has been since it was changed. I guess it penetrated from the mattress to the sheets.

I chose many hotels before going to Hakone, and this one is the only one that can directly see Mount Fuji. It is next to the Narukawa Art Museum, and the scenery is the same as the art museum, so I don't have to spend money to see it. The room is OK, but the suite I booked has no window and the room has a strange smell. I give it a full 5 points, mainly because the scenery is too beautiful, and the other things don't matter.

Awesome stay! ! The equipment is novel and has everything you need, including an electronic pot! The kitchen is awesome! Go to the supermarket to buy something and cook it yourself. It’s convenient and comfortable. There’s also a drink and red wine and cheese gift pack in the refrigerator! The hot spring in the room is also great! There is also a foot bath on the balcony, which has a pleasant view. Facing Lake Ashi, you can see the pirate ship. You can see the lakeside from the first floor, and it takes 5 minutes to walk to the pier. The only pity is that the floor where I live is not high and is blocked by trees~ But this It is a hotel worth visiting again!

Because many restaurants in Hakone stop business at 4 pm, it is normal to buy food from convenience stores and heat it up at home. If you don’t book a breakfast room, you must stock up on food. The hot spring is very good. It should be filtered. There is no strong sulfur smell. The pool is always updated and you can soak it anytime you want. Disadvantages: Because there is no front desk, luggage cannot be stored; it is next to the lake, and the humidity will be heavier on rainy days. The clothes are still wet after being brought to Tokyo. Reminder: It is a self-service check-in, so you must contact the hotel in advance before checking in. The hotel usually sends an email (room check-in password and order confirmation code, etc.) before 10 o'clock the day before check-in. If you don’t receive it, you have to call yourself, because Ctrip’s room confirmation code is inaccurate + the other party’s hotel may not receive the email written on Ctrip.
