The hotel location is opp the station and is mins away to the supermarket for all u need. The room at 11 floor was great for 3 pax. Breakfast was simple with drinks station. U can relax in morning for a simple breakfast before exploring the small quiet town.

I used JR INN for the first time. JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo has used it. I stayed at a railway hotel for railway fans, but I was impressed this time. From the single room I stayed in, you can see all the vehicles coming in from the top of Hakodate Station platform. If you thought you could see Twilight Express and Hokuto Star in the time of running on the bed, Cassiopeia came in. In addition, the timetable is posted on the top floor bath, and the train is seen while bathing. There are many books related to the railway in the rest place, and you can know the history of the railway in Hokkaido. At the entrance of the hotel, there is a head mark such as Hokuto star, and the track is drawn on the floor, and it is a hotel that is not able to be caught in the railway mania from the moment when it enters. It is conveniently located in front of the station or in the station, and from the opposite room, Hakodate mountain can be seen, and I thought it was a good hotel other than railway fans.

just opposite the jr station which is super convenient.
The morning market is located at the next street only while tram is just few steps away.
the amenities are free flow before 10pm at the lobby, including facial care and even facial mask.
however, the room is a bit hot even though the temperature outside was -1 because the window gap was so small. Tried to switch off the aircon but it was still hot.
Overall quite worth it.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean and offered a stunning sea view. Guests have free access to the hot spring facility, which was a delightful experience. The breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and offered a variety of delicious options. This hotel located 7 minutes walk from Hakodate Station. In winter, I don’t really recommend this hotel if you are coming from the station and walk to hotel with big luggages as the snow will be everywhere and it will be so hard to carry around the big luggages in the snow. However, I didn’t regret for choosing this hotel because the staff was so lovely, and the room is very comfortable with microwave and washing machines provided so I didn’t have to go outside the room for using microwave and washing machines. This hotel also have onsen at the upper floor, but I didn’t get a chance to using it. Heater also works well in the room. And for the room cleaning, they will only clean your room if you stay more than 2 nights.
Lawson is nearby, only need 3 minutes walk. And if you like seafood, Hakodate Morning Market is very near from the hotel.

We stayed at Century Marina for our first night in Hokkaido and originally chose it for its proximity to most of the sites we wanted to see in Hakodate. It's just a few minute walk from the train station with plenty of sidewalks so pulling our suitcases was no issue. The hotel also has a large parking lot if you choose to drive. It's also just a few minute walk from the warehouse district and the older area up the hill where a lot of historical embassies and churches are. The hotel's breakfast buffet is an experience itself with an extensive spread of both Japanese and Western food options. You will reserve a time slot when checking in, but even then you should expect a 10-20 minute wait in the morning to get your table, so its best to go up before your reserved time. This hotel also has one of the best rooftop onsen I've seen, with wonderful views of the whole marina and hill. When booking I didn't realize there was a hot springs so this was a nice surprise. Our room was right next to the elevator but very quiet and clean. This is a newer hotel too so everything felt very fresh and well-maintained. We checked in using Japanese, but the hotel has check-in info packets and signs in English so this is a good option for non-Japanese speaking guests as well.

I used it for the first time. A luxury hotel, breakfast is a special mention! We chose Japanese food in Azeria for the first night １ and Matsumae for the second night. At the buffet, there was a heap of salmon roe that I had never seen before, and I was able to make a super gorgeous seafood bowl, which was really amazing. ２ Matsumae on the night was also a very nice set, and I chose the salmon roe set, but this is also super satisfying. My friend was Hitsumabushi set, which looked very delicious! The room was large and well maintained, and it was good because it had a long-established style plus modern functionality.

What a wonderful experience! We were amazed at the selection of fresh seafood for breakfast and dinner. This is by far the best hotel seafood buffet for sure! The facilities are clean, rooms are spacious and tidy, overall ambience is great! Onsen is nice and relaxing. It is a bit far away from JR Hakodate station and does require you to either take taxi or bus. The hotel was offering a small hotel shuttle at the time which was nice however must reserve with the hotel before hand. The lady driving the shuttle bus was very nice and even gave us some traveling tips for the local area! Thank you! Special thanks to Mr. Yoshida-san at the front reception. He had noticed that one of the shuttle times we had reserved was not available that day, so he took extra effort to make sure we made it to the earlier shuttle time to make it back to the hotel. Thank you Yoshida-san! I really would like to come back and stay at Umi to Akari soon. It was a wonderful experience! Wish the best of success to this hotel!

Even if everyone at the front desk wore a mask, they were so welcome that they felt that their smile was wonderful. We have you upgrade your room. The room was large enough to have a partition door, and there was a sense of security that privacy was protected, and the corner 々 was beautiful and the view from the window was good and comfortable. There was also a large communal bath and I was released from fatigue. If you move by car, it was not bitter at all because it was about ２４ time-open convenience store and lucky clown store that boasts the largest area of Hakodate within ５ minutes by car, and about ３０ minutes to the morning market in front of Hakodate Station. We look forward to the regional development of profit 々 from now on! (^.^)!

SSimonIt is very close to Hakodate train station, and it is also very close to the morning market. Free parking is also a highlight. The hotel uses self-service registration, self-scanning passports, etc. There are only a few rooms on each floor, so there won't be too many people. There is a microwave oven in the room, as well as a small amount of cooking supplies. You can buy things and return to the hotel to reheat them. There are many delicious foods in the convenience store😆 But we booked 3 people, only an extra sofa bed, but did not take the initiative to provide an extra set of bedding🙄. Is it because the hotel only provides limited services? This will deduct points.

獨獨行俠N560PUThe hotel is conveniently located next to the Hakodate station and the bus terminal. From there you pretty much have all the transportations you need to go to every single corner within the city. Location is unbeatable, breakfast is decent with mini seafood don. Onsen is also available for guest and free of charge. Overall a pleasant stay.
P.s. airport coach time table attached for reference. Very close to the airport and it takes only 20 mins departing from the train station.

GGuest UserWhat an amazing hotel HakoBA Hakodate is. It is located in the old Fuji Bank building which gives it a unique character. They have done an amazing job updating the interior making it look modern yet still letting the character of the building shine through, awesome! Staff at reception were super friendly and helped us with lots of recommendations, like food and drink, and helped us with the public transport 1-day pass which you can buy here. There's also a cool little shop in the reception area selling local gifts. The room was really nice and we were lucky they gave us a room on the top floor which meant the room had really high ceilings and amazing details on the ceiling. Bathroom was pretty large, very modern and clean. Location wise this hotel is perfect. It is a 20 minute walk from the station but well connected to other public transport like buses and the city tram system. Located in the middle of the redbrick warehouse area of Hakodate there's plenty of shopping and restaurants around. Ideal for exploring this amazing city. Highly recommend staying here!

GGuest UserIt was easy to check in immediately after arriving because it was easy to arrive in the morning city by 2 minutes walk from JR Hakodate Station. There are many restaurants around and it is convenient during your stay. Personally, there are reasonable Hakodate gourmet shops such as Rappi, Hasest, and 500 yen bowls, and it seems that there is no problem even if you stay for about １ weeks. It is within walking distance to the center of sightseeing, and I think that you can go around enough in half a day except for meals. I was happy with ”squid salty” for breakfast.

Ssimon_and_emma69Picked this hotel a it was very close to the station and so easy to get to while dragging bags. Also very convenient for the central Hakodate facilities and shops. The hotel was typical of city centre, budget types i.e. rooms on the smaller side, but the service, cleanliness and value for money can't be faulted plus there was a very reasonable free breakfast. Wouldn't hesitate to use agin if back in Hakodate.

From Hakodate Morning Market ... True squid live sashimi at night at Yangshu Bar (if you add geso to soy sauce, it moves and is fresh) ... Cheap and delicious, Peony Sea ** live sashimi, herring sashimi, hokke live sashimi, mambo liver mixing, raw sashimi, ... Live taraba, live hairy crab, live oysters ... ← Looking forward to the next time ... After eating ... Also ... Sky Traveler's Hot Spring ♨️ ... More than 8 times on this trip ... I tasted the hot springs ... It was the best ... ...I wish I had ice cream for breakfast...laughs

GGuest UserIt has been almost 3 years that we have not visited Japan. Once Japan opened tourism, we packed our bags. We decided this trip will be a trip to enjoy some onsen (hot springs bath) and to see some fall foliage in colors. We picked Hakodate for onsen. This hotel offers in room open air bath tub on the balcony with a 180 degree ocean view!! Our activities were focused on taking onsen and having great food at the hotel buffet restaurant. After a great onsen bath, we wore the clothing they provided to us to the restaurant, very layback and relaxing!! There were many families, old and very young at the hotel over the weekend. So we think families take short vacations here. Strongly recommend to add Hakodate and this hotel to be part of your tour in Japan !

GGuest UserFirst of all, the location is perfect. 3 minutes walk from Hakodate Station. There is a Max Value nearby and a tram station passes right in front of you.
The overall disadvantage is that it is old, but we are putting a lot of effort into overcoming it.
Representatively, there is a modern, remodeled lounge on the first floor. The lounge design itself is nice, and the drink bar, which provides free coffee, tea, and water, is open until 10 p.m.
Another advantage is the breakfast, which is expensive at 2,000 yen (300 yen less if you book in advance the day before), but you can make your own kaisendon and eat it, and best of all, you can enjoy the view of Hakodate Bay from the top floor of the hotel.
The view is well worth it.
Also, there is a bar on the top floor where breakfast was served from 10 PM to 1 PM, and it boasts a reasonable price of 1,100 yen for a cocktail and a light snack.
It's run by an old bartender. If the advantage of the breakfast restaurant was the daytime view, the advantage of this place is that you can enjoy the view at night.
The downside is that currently, for environmental protection reasons, room cleaning is not provided and only water and towels are exchanged, but since I didn't stay in Hakodate for a long time, it didn't matter.
There are things to like and dislike, but for me it was the best hotel.

GGuest UserIt was comfortable. It was really comfortable already. I visited the south side based in Hakodate City, but I used it at that time. At first, I was worried because the price was too cheap, but when I stayed, it was very comfortable rather than no problem. The salty breakfast is very recommended. Also, I was very satisfied with the curry on Sunday morning. It is within walking distance from Hakodate Station and the parking lot was also able to stop with a roof. It may be recommended for motorcycles and bicycles. Thank you so much for your help. I'll come again!

AAndersonRossHotel staff were all wonderful and pleasant to speak with. Room was well stocked with various amenities and utilities. Unusual aesthetic- I’d describe it as highly feminine Parisian kitsch - furnishing is old but fully functional and very clean. Staff certainly know enough English to get you to your room and explain the utilities, and are patient and understanding. Location is excellent too - short walk from Hakodate JR station. 👍
