Takuboku Tei Reviews

It is a specialized hot spring hotel. The room facilities are not new but very clean. There is an open-air hot spring on the roof, which is worth experiencing. The package includes breakfast and dinner, which are all self-service. The food is rich in variety and the ingredients are fresh. After arriving at Hakodate Station, take tram 2 or 5 to Yukawa Onsen, which is easier to find.

We were traveling with our child (1 year old). The food was more delicious than we expected, and they even had curry for kids. However, it was extremely hot in the room. Even when we turned on the air conditioner, only warm air came out, so we turned it off. (It may have gotten colder if we had left it on, but we couldn't stand the heat so we turned it off.) It may not be related, but our child had a nosebleed. Even as an adult, it was so hot that we woke up several times, so we think it was because of the heat.

I stayed there during Golden Week. The facility was attached to Kaikyo no Kaze, and the inside of the building was connected. Although some rooms are shared, the rooms at Takuboku-tei are old. However, the cleaning was thorough so it didn't bother me. On the other hand, the hallway in front of the room smelled of cigarettes, and although I stayed there for two nights, there was no improvement. (Is smoking allowed in the strait wind area?) The large public bath also has an open-air bath, so you can relax. To be honest, the food wasn't very tasty. The ramen for breakfast was delicious. There were meals for small children, but there were no meals for infants, so we were given commercially available lunch boxes.

A mother and daughter traveling together, we used a plan that included breakfast and dinner for one night and a massage. As the reputation suggests, there were many types of buffet and I enjoyed it! I especially liked that you could order ramen, steak, and seafood bowls on the spot. The open-air bath on the top floor had a great view and was very comfortable. (It was a cold January day, so it was fairly empty, and it was great that it was sometimes reserved.) I also asked for a massage in the evening, so I was able to sleep soundly. Also, I think it's good to be able to check out before you leave. It gets crowded if you are at the last minute...

You can easily explore the beautiful scenery of Hakodate. Although the hotel is relatively It's old, but has a service center. The view is beautiful. The old-style beds are also very comfortable. The catering is self-service, with 1 hotel room and 2 meals. The food is affordable and rich. The location is convenient, buses and trams are very close. I think the food was better than expected. In particular, the homemade flavors such as wine-stewed pork, fried salmon, and fried chicken are exquisitely seasoned and fried. The soft serve ice cream is rich, light and very delicious, just like Yamakawa Farm. On the other hand, there was only one slipper for indoor use in a room for two people, and the response from the male room attendant was unfriendly and very bad.There was also no other doorman at first, and he came in the middle of the room, but even though he was there. The guidance is poor, and even if you have a lot of luggage, they won't even bring you a cart, so it feels like a part-time job. They may have been dispatched by a temporary staffing company or a security company, but I can only say that they are disqualified as hotel staff, including room attendants. The restaurant's service is so good that the difference is even more noticeable. Since the price is low, it may be unavoidable.

The front desk is too unfriendly. When I entered my room, there was a piece of crumpled paper in the trash can (it felt like a piece of paper I had blown into my nose, so I didn't check it because it was disgusting).There was a draft coming into the room and it was very cold. It was too late to come and pull the futon. I called the front desk at 6pm and had to wait for an hour. The futon smelled musty, the futon cover was crumpled, and the futon was sitting in the closet where the futon was stored. The duvet cover was crumpled and looked like it hadn't been cleaned. Even though I had to wait a long time to get my futon pulled up, the person who came to pull my futon didn't seem apologetic at all, but instead responded with a bit of anger. I don't know if it's because it's a cheap accommodation plan, but I'd like them to write that in the future, since it's a cheap accommodation plan, various services will be the worst. I have stayed at hotels and inns several times a year in my 40 years of life, but this was the first time I had ever stayed in a hotel or inn that was this bad, so I will never stay there again.

The open-air bath is quite small. It's smaller than I expected. I guess the low price goes well with the oldness. It seems that they are not cleaning well.

This was my second time staying at Takuboku-tei, and the last time was 11 years ago. It was the same winter and the 3-night, 4-day free tour was only 29,800 yen. I also remember winning a 10,000 yen JTB travel voucher through a review on 4Travel. After arriving at Hakodate Airport, I took a taxi, which was the easiest way to get to the hotel. If I took the bus, I would have had to walk about 10 minutes with my luggage from the bus stop on the snowy road. It was 1,400 yen. This time I stayed with a tour from Trapics, and when I arrived at the hotel, there was a special counter available, so I was able to get to my room smoothly. Last time, I had a large room with a Western-style room and a Japanese-style room, but this time I was a little disappointed because it was a small room with only a Japanese-style room. Dinner was scheduled for 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm, but this meant I couldn't go to the Bay Area to see the Christmas Fantasy during the Christmas season. I had canceled dinner on my previous trip, so I decided to eat in town. The only good thing about the room was that I could see Mt. Hakodate and Goryokaku Tower over the racecourse. It's about a 5-minute walk to the Yunokawa Onsen tram stop, but if it's frozen with snow it will take about 10 minutes. It's good that a large drugstore has opened in front of the hotel in the last 11 years, so you can buy drinks and snacks. It takes about 40 minutes to get to Jujigai by tram, but it's a more charming ride than a taxi. (You can also use Suica. Touch it twice when getting on and off.) The hot spring is on the top floor and has great water, but the open-air bath is very cold when it's snowing. Breakfast was served in a banquet hall reserved for tours, but it was nice to be able to enjoy Hakodate ramen and a mini seafood bowl. We also enjoyed local dishes such as tuna nare-ro.
