Takuboku Tei

The food was satisfying, but the hot spring was lukewarm, which was disappointing.

The key location of choosing this large semi-Japanese hotel is the famous Yunokawa hot spring area in Hakodate. First of all, I pointed out that I originally chose Takubokutei because of its reputation and the size of the hotel. However, when I checked in, I saw that the Western-style room I booked was so old and had simple equipment. /The desk, luggage rack, everything is missing, the carpet is dirty, and it is unknown how long it has been used? Even the Japanese-style bathroom is extremely small. I have been traveling in Japan for many years and have been to Hakodate, Hokkaido several times. I have used this Takubokutei as a reference. The name is bigger than the reality and it is completely inconsistent with the pictures shown online. Visitors are advised to think twice and be cautious before talking about the quality of the breakfast. It's too bad. There are not many styles and small portions. The breakfast in a large hotel is very small. The dinner is mainly Japanese style. The only praise is that the quality of the sashimi food is extremely fresh. There are also many choices for the Japanese food. I am satisfied.

We were traveling with our child (1 year old). The food was more delicious than we expected, and they even had curry for kids. However, it was extremely hot in the room. Even when we turned on the air conditioner, only warm air came out, so we turned it off. (It may have gotten colder if we had left it on, but we couldn't stand the heat so we turned it off.) It may not be related, but our child had a nosebleed. Even as an adult, it was so hot that we woke up several times, so we think it was because of the heat.

I stayed there during Golden Week. The facility was attached to Kaikyo no Kaze, and the inside of the building was connected. Although some rooms are shared, the rooms at Takuboku-tei are old. However, the cleaning was thorough so it didn't bother me. On the other hand, the hallway in front of the room smelled of cigarettes, and although I stayed there for two nights, there was no improvement. (Is smoking allowed in the strait wind area?) The large public bath also has an open-air bath, so you can relax. To be honest, the food wasn't very tasty. The ramen for breakfast was delicious. There were meals for small children, but there were no meals for infants, so we were given commercially available lunch boxes.

There was no lock on the shoe locker, so I lost my Gore-Tex shoes because I put them on by mistake and reported it to the police. Apparently there had been a case of mistaken shoes being put on at this hotel before. Also, there were no lockers with locks in the dressing room big enough to hold clothes and luggage. I was very worried.

I stayed here for one night on a collaborative tour between Hankyu Travel International and Noguchi Kanko. It is located in Yunokawa, across the street from a drug store and next to a Lawson. It is a large inn with a hot spring. There is also an open-air bath, which you can use anytime. There were also high school students staying there on a school trip. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet style. They served a variety of Hokkaido specialties, and it was delicious.
