We had such a lovely experience, staff were so friendly and rooms spacious, clean and great amenities. We slept on traditional tatami beds, so comfortable and the hotel where so quiet - in a more local part of Hakodate (great for running and walking) onsen was amazing and had good opening times!

This Japanese onsen hotel is new and clean. It’s a good choice of ours as both the hotel spring bath and the room are spacious and environment is quiet and decorated with taste. The breakfast was provided in super nice private rooms and the food was just too good. We highly recommend the hotel to you.

This is a traditional ryokan with Japanese tatami mats and traditional Japanese bedding you have to lay on the floor. The Onsen is okay, not the best I’ve been to. The outdoor pool is small, allowing a maximum of 2-3 people to soak in. I did not try their breakfast as I had to leave early in the morning. Location is far from the centre part of Hakodate. I drove to the location.

The hotel is a little far from Hakodate Station. We have to walk a little after taking the bus, so we took a taxi, which cost 2,300 yen. The Japanese-style hot spring hotel, the room is not by the sea, the tatami area is good, much larger than the Western-style hotel room 😆 There are relatively few restaurants in Yukawa Onsen and they are relatively far away. It is recommended to solve breakfast and dinner in the hotel. We ordered breakfast, which is Japanese style with many varieties. We didn't order dinner, and wanted to go out for dinner. Unexpectedly, we walked for a long time before finding an Okonomiyaki restaurant that could accommodate us.
