Supermarket 3 minutes walk away to get grocery or anything needed.Regret it was just one night stay, can recommend and will book again on next trip in this area. "The location is good in the center of Haiphong and the hotel breakfast is very good. Located in Korean town, you can use many Korean supermarkets and restaurants. However, it is difficult to get around with a young family because it is complicated and has a large floating population. Instead, it is good to take a moderate walk as the hotel and village are attached. In addition, the sports facilities are also indoor golf course, swimming pool, gym, tennis court, and convenient to use."

"Great stay for the price.
Positives:
- Clean Hotel
- A great breakfast that they prepare fresh for you so it’s better than your typical hotel breakfast buffet and its large and filling. That alone makes it worth it for me.
- The open air bath was great, very Japanese style.
- Staff were friendly.
Negatives
- Pipes make some noise. You can hear other guests shower when water is going through the pipes.
Overall, one of the better hotels I’ve stayed at including places I been to in Japan itself. And there’s a Japanese restaurant right next door that served very good food."

"The environment is relatively clean. The location is not very easy to find. It is very convenient to eat around. There is also a small supermarket selling fruit. There is also a vegetable market. The only drawback is that the hotel does not provide hair dryers and incomplete daily necessities."

Excellent
UuulissiWe had a very good stay at the Perle d'orient. The staff was extremely welcoming and kind, and spoke fairly good English. The room was big and with all services provided. Plenty of facilities, including several swimming pools and spa area.
The hotel is slightly away from the city centre, and we had to walk in a non illuminated street for about 20mins to get to the village centre, as there were some roadworks. The hotel called a paid electric car shuttle twice, but found the drivers to be quite rude, and we ended up preferring to walk.
Finally, there is a public beach next to the resort. Unfortunately, be prepared to be disappointed, as the amount of trash and pollution in the water and on the beaches in Cat Ba and in the bays is significant (it was the same for the four days when we stayed there). This was a real shame, as if the island was well maintained it would be a paradise.

JJackie GerbeI had a lovely stay in this hotel. Upon arrival, the manager upgraded my room to give me a Mountain View with balcony, which was appreciated! He offered to set up tours and a motorbike for me. He also set up my transfer to Ninh Binh. The breakfast was small, but very good! The location is in the main part of town, but you have to walk through a small alleyway to get to this street. I felt safe as a solo female traveler, although it was quite dark. The location was nice and quiet for sleeping and the air con worked phenomenally.

We stayed at the Moon Boutique Hotel for one night while visiting Cat Ba island. The hotel is very well located on the town's main street and all sights on the island are easily accessible from this point.
The room was large, stylishly decorated and had a very comfortable bed.
Our favorite part of the hotel however was the staff! They went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and have a nice time on the island! They provided us great information about activities, prepared excellent welcome drinks and breakfast and always had a smile on their face. It was also very nice to see how well they worked as a team! Definitely the best hotel on Cat Ba!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the View Point Anh Quan Hotel in Cat Ba, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, which provided a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the pier and close to Cat Co beach, making it convenient for sightseeing and enjoying the local attractions.
The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, with stunning views from both my balcony and the rooftop cafe. Waking up to such breathtaking scenery was truly a highlight of my trip. The staff at the hotel were exceptional; they were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable. They helped arrange transportation from Hanoi to Cat Ba and even organized a fantastic day trip to Ha Long Bay for me.
Breakfast at the hotel was enjoyable with a variety of options available, including made-to-order eggs that were delicious. The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt welcoming and homely, which made my stay even more enjoyable. GGertWe recently had the pleasure of staying at Republic Hostel on Cat Ba Island, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

JJasperThe room had. A very nice view of the lake, so that was nice. However, overall the experience was not great. Rented a scooter from the hotel, but this scooter was consuming petrol at an amazing rate. After only half hour already 3 liters gone, so left without gas somewhere. Found 2 liter of petrol and returned to the hotel, agian after 20 minutes empty, so had to walk the last part. Really something wrong with this scooter, but still had to pay. Also in the room several electric sockets didn't work, some amenities for the toilet/shower were missing. Breakfast Phố gà next morning was complete tasteless with dry and old chicken. So, despite the polite and friendly people and great location, overall was a disappointed experience. The potential is there, but at the moment lack the execution.

BBec TryonThe hotel was very nice. Great location and view (sunset from the rooftop bar is fantastic). If it wasn't for the construction in front of the hotel, this hotel would be the bees knees. It is close to our tour operator and mini markets. The staff so helpful and informative. Jong, one of the managers, organised a taxi for us to take us from our tour in the harbour to our speedboat to take us to Ha Long City. The speedboat driver organised the taxi driver to take us to our hotel in Ha Long City. It was well organised for us at half the price that we paid to get to Cat Ba Island. We were taken advantage of in the beginning of the Cat Ba Island adventure as unknowledgeable tourists, but we were treated so well on our departure trip from Cat Ba Island thanks to Jong.
