Republic Hostel Cat Ba

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Republic Hostel on Cat Ba Island, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Location: The hostel is situated in scooter driving distance to Cat Ba Town, local restaurants, and shops. It's the perfect base for exploring the island and its stunning natural beauty while staying out of the busy town. Facilities: The hostel offers clean and cozy dorms and private rooms, all equipped with air conditioning and hard, yet comfortable beds. The bathrooms were acceptable, and the communal areas were perfect for chilling by the pool. Amenities: Republic Hostel offers a range of amenities, including free Wi-Fi, kitchen where you can order food from, and a delicious free breakfast spread each morning. They also organize island tours, and other activities, making it easy to experience the best of Cat Ba. Atmosphere: The hostel has a lively and social atmosphere, with regular events and activities that bring everyone together. Value: Considering the excellent facilities, friendly staff, and prime location, Republic Hostel offers incredible value for money. It's a must-stay for anyone traveling to Cat Ba Island! Great environment and awesome staff, I’m really glad that we found this option during our family trip. The hotel is not too far from town and they provide scooter rental service which was very helpful.

Nice hostel with a great pool, food was delicious and Taran one of the staff members was very lovely and accommodating. Made us some delicious drinks :) thanks legend! Bikes are available to rent for the day, other staff were helpful in booking a day tour for me to Ha long.

Short and sweet review : great location, the room was spacious with view on the mountain, outstanding English speaking staff , fantastic cocktail bar. And cherry on the cake the nice swimming pool beside the bar. I was also able to rent a motorbike at the hotel .

We really enjoyed staying at Republic Hostel. The facilities are great, nice garden and swimming pool, games, cozy coffee bar. The staff was amazing and helped to organize trips and transits in the area. I would love to have stayed longer..

Very nice hostel and friendly staffs. The boat tour to Lan Ha Bay was amazing too!!! A little bit away from town so a scooter is the best way to go around. Butterfly valley is a very nice place to do a picnic, or a rock climbing trip

The hostel staff is amazing, super friendly and helpful, also the owner (I think) who I was texting with. I had dinner there which was amazing. They also refilled my water bottle instead of giving me a new one which is just more plastic. But please also no straws. The rooms unfortunately are not nice. The walls are dirty and the mattress is so hard. I even got one of the best rooms but still. For the price you pay compared to other places, also being next to the street and not really a nice view, I think it’s too much money for what you get.
