The hotel is closest to Xinzhai subway station. It takes 5 minutes to get there by shared electric bike. The room and breakfast are quite satisfactory. It is arranged on the 18th floor with a wide view, but the traffic is heavy and the noise is unavoidable. The most satisfactory thing is the shower🚿 with large water volume, sensitive adjustment, and comfortable to relieve fatigue. The lobby and public areas have a European feel, the lighting is dim, and the liquid coffee in the room is quite good. There is a convenience store, Luckin Coffee, and a good Anshun barbecue restaurant in the square downstairs of the hotel, with good service and taste.

First: this place is not a Carlton Hotel chain hotel. It is a rip off name. Secondly: it is located on the 8th floor of a commercial tower. As a 3 star rated hotel in china, it's on the high end of the scale inside. as a solo traveller, i am mainly looking at convenience and hygiene. I booked this place for it's proximity to the train station for my early morning flight. Arriving at the station, it took me 40 minutes to find my way to walk over to the hotel, and would have appreciated more information. How to get there: Exit the station at the west plaza, on your right somewhere, you will find a path which leads to an underpass to cross the highway. Walk straight into the basement of the commercial building, turn left and then go up the escalators. Then the hotel's lifts are on the left as you enter the building. The current state of the elevator lobby and the lift is dire. See photos. Cigarette butts, and renovation mess. In the reception, there was a lady in front of me that was haggling the prices of her room. Just so that you get an idea of the place. Once I got into the room, it was fine. Quite a nice area. But there was no Aircon control, it was all centralised, but at least it was cool in Guiyang that night. There was a wet mark on the sofa, see photo. I inspected the room for hygiene, and it was ok, clean towels, clean toilet, clean sheets, pillows didn't smell. The toilet flushes well, and shower room was clean. In fact, apart from the sofa mark and the rug condition, everything was good. I marked down the hygiene mainly from a suspicious wet mark and the state of the lobby/lift. I used the self checkout in the morning to catch my train, since the reception was sleeping under the counter. It takes 10-15 min today walk to the station with luggage, with no rain shelter. Be aware. It is probably better to just book a hotel in a slightly better area and take a cab.

Hotel location is good and the room size is reasonable. But the main issue is the Breakfast timing and items not even on the table after 7am. There are very limited varieties to choose from. Overall, the breakfast is very ordinary and being a four star hotel is a shame. We also made a request two days ago to get dropped at the train station. The driver was on time at the reception but he was unfriendly and unprofessional even we said thanks many times , but he did not bother to accept our appreciation. The driver needs training to be online with the reputation of the hotel

The hotel is in a great location, close to the high-speed rail station and only a few minutes' taxi ride away. The front desk check-in efficiency could be improved. Overall management needs improvement. The room key card I was given didn't work at all, and I had to call someone to open the door. I was already tired after a trip, and still had to wait for the key card to be delivered... The room didn't have a kettle, and the front desk said it was right there. When they finally delivered the kettle, I asked them to find it, but it wasn't there... All of this made me feel really tired.

Instead of arriving at 22:11, I arrived at Guiyang North Railway station at almost 23:00, the manager promptly replied to my messages to see to it that I correctly followed the directions to the hotel since I don't speak Chinese and it was already late at night. He assured me that the staff was expecting me and the room had been prepared and reserved for me. They upgraded me to a bigger room + complimentary breakfast! ❤️ - The staff and the manager helped me book a taxi to the airport. It was raining when I left for the airport and they provided a service umbrella and instructed the driver to drop me at T2 on my behalf since I am a foreigner and I don't speak Chinese! What impressed me more was that the toilet and shower were separated from the room to arrange the venue, and the washbasin was arranged separately, so that the dry and wet were separated. There was also a clothes drying rod, so I didn't have to look for beams everywhere to hang clothes.
