"My room, 818, was upgraded after I called ahead, which was a very thoughtful gesture. It also came equipped with a mini-fridge and a massager. While I don't frequently stay at InterContinental properties, I was very grateful for these thoughtful touches. As I have a sleep disorder, I always travel with my CPAP machine, and the cleanliness of the room is crucial for a good night's sleep. I was delighted that the room was impeccably clean, with virtually no dust. When I found the standard pillow uncomfortable, the manager kindly provided a memory foam pillow for me. Although the breakfast selection wasn't particularly extensive, the staff member at the breakfast entrance asking for room numbers seemed a bit stiff, and the laundry room was inconveniently located with too few machines and no staff available for overnight drying assistance, the overall stay was still very comfortable. "The receptionist is friendly and helpful. She offered a complimentary upgrade to room 4113 upon request. This room features stunning nighttime views of the Twin Towers and the White House. Its cozy and beautiful decor, along with a comfortable bed, creates a welcoming atmosphere. The location is superb, just a 5-minute walk to the metro station, with numerous eateries nearby."

"We were really satisfied with the room design – it was both Instagrammable and comfortable, and the view was absolutely lovely! The location of the hotel is quite good too – just around a 12-minute walk to the metro or bus, which made getting around the city very convenient. Special thanks to the captain during breakfast; his service was truly top-notch. He consistently checked on guests with a warm smile, which made our mornings even better. Also, a big shoutout to Rabby for kindly assisting us when we asked about taking the bus around the city – really helpful! There was just one issue we encountered during our stay. On the first day, we noticed that the hair conditioner couldn’t be pumped out and the hair dryer wasn’t functioning well. After we reported it, the team responded quickly by providing bottled conditioner and a replacement hair dryer – which we appreciated. However, a few days later, housekeeping took away the replacement conditioner bottles, and we were left without any again. When we brought it up a second time, the team finally discovered that the original conditioner pump was broken and fixed it immediately. While we’re happy with how quickly the staff responded, we do feel that for a 5-star hotel, it’s important to ensure that room amenities are checked thoroughly before guests check in. Overall, we still had a great experience and appreciate the excellent service from the team!"

"As it was my first trip to Guiyang, I spent a good while searching for a hotel. I didn't want the hassle of changing places, so I planned to return to the same spot every evening after my activities. It turned out to be incredibly convenient. My stay was seven days and six nights, and overall, it was a fantastic choice. The cleanliness was consistently excellent every day; you could tell the cleaning staff put a lot of effort into their work. All the staff I met at the front desk were also very polite and helpful. They offer self-service laundry, and right downstairs, there's a subway station, plenty of restaurants, and it's easy to catch a taxi. Truly, it's a super convenient location. The lobby area near the front desk is also a comfortable place to relax. At night, you can see the illuminated Twin Towers, and it's less than a five-minute walk to the 'White House'. It really is a great spot. I really outdid myself in finding this hotel, haha! If I ever visit Guiyang again, this will definitely be my top choice. I forgot to take many photos, so I'm just including one I took from the windowsill."

"Advantages: The quality hotel in the surrounding ten miles, the same as the Sheraton interior next to it, but the price is more favorable, and the price is very high. The sanitation is very clean and the space is large. Before I searched for hotels near Kong Xuetang on the Internet, most of them were homestays and hotels. I decided to choose a hotel that was a little farther away. I only knew that there was a Sheraton next to this one at the front desk. I thought I was too lazy to change it. The result was perfect when I entered the room. The interior is the same, the lights are the same, and the bathroom is the same. In addition to the low price, everything else is the same. Disadvantages: The parking lot navigation prompt is incomplete, and it is easy to miss it when you go to the roadside. Just enter the Sheraton parking lot directly from the roadside, and the two hotels share a parking lot. If you miss, you have to climb uphill and go to the police station and turn right into the community and then turn right."

"The hotel's location is excellent, right near the fountain, just a few minutes' walk through an underpass. Guiyang North Metro Station offers a direct line to the subway exit right across from the hotel, and it's just a few stops to Qianling Mountain Park, which is incredibly convenient. When I booked, I specifically requested a quiet room, and the hotel delivered perfectly. My room was on the residential side, so there was absolutely no noise. The room itself was quite spacious, tidy, and clean. The shower pressure was excellent, making for a very comfortable shower experience. They even provided body lotion, which was a thoughtful touch. The laundry room is conveniently located opposite the front desk. What really impressed me was their laundry service: if you're in a rush, you can leave a note, and they'll wash, dry, and fold your clothes for you to pick up later. This service is truly commendable! Breakfast was fairly standard, nothing particularly exciting, but honestly, Guiyang has so much amazing food to offer that it's hardly a deal-breaker and can easily be overlooked. There's a shopping mall right across from the hotel, which houses a Lianghuanzhai restaurant. Unfortunately, my trip was quite rushed this time, so I didn't get a chance to try it."

"Everything was excellent – the facilities, cleanliness, and ambiance were all very satisfactory, and the room size was just right. My only minor complaint is that the two rooms we were given on the first night were incredibly loud. To my surprise, there were motorcycles revving and trucks roaring by in the early hours, making for a completely sleepless night. Fortunately, they moved us to different rooms for the second night, and we had a wonderful sleep. If I visit Guiyang again, I would definitely choose to stay here."

The hotel's location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient for visiting nearby attractions. It's also easily accessible from both the high-speed rail station and the airport. The friendly staff at the front desk assigned me a room on the 45th floor, which offered a truly spectacular view. Overall, I was pleased, though there were a couple of minor issues to note. The pillows were a little too flat, and the bedside lamp switch wasn't very responsive. Other than that, everything else was satisfactory. Thumbs up!"

When I checked out the next day, they asked me if I needed an invoice or parking ticket. The sanitation looked very clean, so it makes sense that it has been open for so many years. The toiletries in the bathroom are all in large bottles, so I don't worry about not having enough even if my hair is longer."
