Let me start with the conclusion: Don't stay if you like to order takeout! Don't stay if you want to sleep well!
This is definitely the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, and it's the first time in my life that I'm so dissatisfied with a hotel that I checked out early. I can't believe this is a Marriott hotel...
1. About receiving takeout (the most speechless!):
* Different front desks have different opinions on picking up/delivering takeout. When we checked in, when we asked if we needed to go downstairs to get the takeout, they only said that a robot would help deliver it. There was no mention that the guests needed to call the front desk to report the last digit of their mobile phone number when the takeout arrived!
* As a result, every time I received takeout, I had to contact the rider and the front desk at the same time, and I was in a mess. The most exaggerated time was the morning when I decided to check out early. I made and received no less than five calls back and forth, until the last time I got angry with the front desk (the front desk who answered the phone was very tough and tried to interrupt me).
* And one of the front desk staff emphasized that if we don't want to call the front desk every time, we need to turn off the address privacy protection on the printout on the food delivery software so that they can know which room the food is from; however, at the same time, the hotel requires the riders not to enter the lobby and can only leave the food on the unattended table outside the hotel gate - in this case, the hotel requires guests to directly expose their room number and mobile phone number?
* And! When I reported this problem to the duty manager, the other party made various excuses and shirked the responsibility on the riders, implying that we should blame the riders for not delivering the food to the lobby and not reporting the room number and mobile phone number. But when I talked to multiple riders many times, I heard the conversation between the riders and the hotel staff clearly. Almost every time, the riders reported the food delivery information but no one paid attention. They just insisted that the riders leave it on the table outside the hotel door and leave.
* I don't know if we are not knowledgeable enough. All the hotels I have stayed in at home and abroad either clearly told the guests that they need to go downstairs to get the food, or the robots or concierges delivered it directly to the room, or the front desk took the initiative to call to confirm whether it needs to be delivered to the room. I have never seen a situation where guests need to pass messages back and forth between the rider and the hotel. I can't help but doubt my life: Am I here to stay in a hotel or to work as a switchboard operator?
2. About noise (the second most speechless thing...):
* The executive room is arranged on the side close to the residential building, and the windows seem to have no sound insulation. Living on the 21st floor, you can hear people making loud noises downstairs in the middle of the night. On sunny days, you will be woken up by the music in the park downstairs at around 7 or 8 in the morning, and it will last until almost 11 o'clock... There are square dances, singing and playing musical instruments, and all kinds of noises. I didn't get a good night's sleep for three nights... It was really frustrating to encounter this situation on weekends...
3. Other aspects of the service:
