Family-friendly Hotels in Guiyang

Comfortable hotel room and friendly staff. The buffet could probably have a little more variety. The location is convenient it's central and easy from the airport.

Before coming here, I searched for Guiyang guides on Ctrip and Xiaohongshu. I chose Anantara Guiyang Resort Hotel as my first stop. It is about half an hour's drive from Longdongbao Airport. The hotel is halfway up a mountain in Longli. The decoration style is a strong Thai exotic style. When we walked into the hotel front desk, Star and the personal butler Zoe were very considerate and upgraded us to the room type with the best view. When we opened the room, we saw yellow and green mountains and plains, like oil paintings, on the bed. The heartwarming cards and fruity rituals make people feel at home. The hotel also has many activities suitable for the whole family, which is very suitable for parent-child travel. When you come back from the trip, peach gum syrup has been prepared in the hotel room. Dinner is at the hotel. The Siam Thai restaurant, the authentic Thai taste is very authentic. The chef is a real Thai and he came out to say hello to us and carefully asked how it tasted. I really experienced the feeling of vacation here, relaxed and warm, but Due to time constraints, we were not able to stay a few more days, so we were given a souvenir before leaving. We were very satisfied with the entire stay and praised it very much. We highly recommend the Anantara Guizhou Hotel and hope that friends who come to Guiyang will choose it first. Bar 😀😀👍👍👍

This hotel is simply MUST STAY in Guiyang. Staff over there are all super friendly and helpful. Especially duty manager Luke Lu welcomed us with fruits, cake and lovely hand written card. Thank you so much. Room has spectacular view and you can look over all Guiyang from bird eye view. I stayed on 51st floor suite room which allows full access to executive lounge on 53rd floor from 2 to 10pm. Its location is in the heart of city, so Jiaxiulu甲秀楼，shoppings and restaurants ste in walking distance. Even airport is just 15 minutes drive. My wife and I really loved to stay here in Kempinski Guiyang and its name is now reliable one to make booking next times of trouble without any hesitation. 한국어가 능숙한 매니져 Jeff Wang도 있습니다. 가급적이면 스위트룸에서 최고의 뷰와 라운지와 서비스를 느껴보시길 추천드립니다.

First the part that I like - 1. Location is convenient: Subway station is right at the door, where you can arrive at major points of the city without many connections on the ground. 2. Food: One breakfast is included in my rate. Adding one costs only US$4. The variety of food is blowing me away. Without exaggeration you won’t repeat what you eat in a week if you pick only five items each day. Think about what’s provided in US hotel for $15. Only $4 here - unbelievable! 3. Staff are very courteous and helpful, from front desk to cleaning personnel, and room services. You’ll receive instant response to address your need whenever you raise it. 4. Facility: It was put in operation in 2022 so everything is new and maintained well. It had indoor swimming pool, gym, billiard room (even one for snook), and ping pong room. It is purposed to host large conferences/events. Now the part that I think they can do better - 1. Smoking: It’s not smoking prohibited hotel, which is pretty common in China, especially not the first tier cities. But they don’t assign some rooms to be non-smoking. Instead, all rooms are smoking permitted and it is allowed in most public areas too. Though this might be OK for domestic visitors, it can be an unflavored factor to people from abroad. 2. Laundry: It doesn’t provide self-served laundry. There is laundry service but it costs dearly going by items.

The overall service level is very good, the hotel management is standardized, and the enthusiasm is added. The service including the pick-up and the bellman's attitude is very good, and the recommended meals are reliable. The location is very good, just next to Qianling Mountain Park, it is very convenient to exercise in the morning. The outskirts are convenient, too. The hotel facilities are relatively long, and the overall cost-effectiveness is good. The swimming pool is too small, and it is OK to soak in water. Fitness is not recommended. There are many varieties in the morning, and the taste is average.

The hotel is located in the center of Guiyang City, with convenient transportation and complete surrounding facilities. It is very convenient for travel and dining. Especially for driving tourists to provide a dedicated parking space, parking space is next to the dedicated elevator, park the car, take the elevator directly to the hall, or take the elevator directly from the room to the parking lot, especially convenient. Here, I especially praise the Jiuyan classmates at the front desk for their warm and thoughtful service, ability to solve problems in a timely and effective manner, and provide customers with a good experience. I believe that other customer service staff also have the same service attitude and level as her. This is a very successful travel experience. A small suggestion here: compared with the efficient service of the service staff, the decoration of the hotel is not very matching in details. As shown in the picture below, the door handle of the bathroom is obviously biased. This situation is also seen in the bathroom glass door, and also lack the necessary damping feeling, resulting in the door originally opened inward, when the door is closed, the door gap position, the installation of the partition bar is easy to be broken, resulting in the door become open outward. The rusting degree of lotus leaves is different. The degree of loosening of the fixed screws is inconsistent in the installation, and there are gaps in some. The rust degree of the screws is also significantly different. I personally feel that the decoration is not very strict in quality control. If it can be improved, it is the best.

New World is a quiet getaway hotel. It was one of my favorite hotels in Guiyang until my last stay, April 5-7. I was not pleased with the checkin. I asked for an upgrade but the lady at the counter did not understand me and kept saying “ok”. She could speak English but did not understand English when spoken to her. It seems there were new people at the front desk and in the restaurant. Also, I was charged regular price for dinner without a room discount. I believe there was new management as well. In my room the first day I watched an English movie channel but the next day it was no longer available. I thought this was an International Hotel which is why I stay so often but it seems they no longer value their International customers. Having English TV in a hotel visited by foreigners is a needed service. I will definitely call and ask before booking another room at New World Hotel. Overall, the hotel has a beautiful pool, sauna and steam room. Nevertheless, I come there for relaxation, good service, and comfort but was very disappointed in the service I received. The management brought me a fruit basket after removing the English movie channel.

After a week traveling around and visiting ethnic minority villages, it was a delight to come back to this hotel and it‘s clean and spacious room, nice shower, very comfy bed. Walk to our nice western restaurant just 15 minutes away, took another test at the hospital. All very convenient at an unbeatable 300¥ per night. Will come back every time we are in Guiyang.

Hotel is situated in a busy area close to many malls. The staff is very friendly, Mr Jake Yang is especially helpful at the front desk. The room has beautiful views of the city. Very big and spacious. Highly recommend this hotel if visiting Guiyang.
