I have never experienced a hotel stay like at the Secret Courtyard Hotel. They treated us with such genuine kindness and consideration. Our every need was taken care of by the owner and his family who run the hotel and we never wanted for anything. I have only the highest recommendation for this hotel for many other reasons also: - It is set in a small riverside village tucked in amongst the beautiful mountains of Guilin. While still easy to access by good roads, the village itself is sheltered from the outside world by a picturesque bridge over the river. - The rooms are all top quality with all the conveniences you could need, plenty of space and great bathroom/shower facilities - There are some really nice tourist attractions within walking distance (2-3km) like the Reed Flute Caves and a very well renovated/preserved bean curd workshop that is really beautifully set on the river. The walking trails are also super well maintained and are filled with great photo opportunities 100%, 10/10, 5 stars, would recommend to anyone, every time - There are really good restaurants in the village (The owner has great recommendations!) - The City of Guilin is quite close, only a 15 minute taxi ride away

The B&B is right on the edge of the Lijiang River. The living room is a bit literary and artistic. The room is large and the conditions are general. The surrounding dining is not very convenient. There are several big-floor snack bars and there are not many choices. Parking is just in front of the hotel, which is convenient.
