This hotel in Guilin was absolutely fantastic, a real gem! 👍👍 I simply have to rave about it. One of our biggest worries when traveling is often a remote hotel location, right? Not at all with this one! It's right on the edge of Zhengyang Pedestrian Street, and just a quick turn around the corner brings you to a myriad of snack shops. On our first night, we casually strolled around and reached Elephant Trunk Hill Park in just ten minutes. The next day, we also walked to Two Rivers and Four Lakes to see the night view. The funniest part was that every time we took a taxi back and told the driver the hotel name, they didn't even need navigation – they'd just step on the gas and we'd be there in no time. Talk about a convenient location! We booked a standard room, but the lovely lady at the front desk noticed I was staying for several nights and specially upgraded me to a mountain view room. I wasn't expecting much, but when I drew open the curtains, it was a definite 'wow' moment! The entire floor-to-ceiling window offered a direct view of Duxiu Peak, a unique small hill characteristic of Guilin. Waking up in bed, I could gaze at a real-life landscape painting, feeling as if I were living inside a scenic postcard. The bathroom had excellent wet/dry separation, and the shower had great pressure and piping hot water. What truly impressed me was the provision of laundry detergent specifically for delicates – something you rarely see in other hotels. The welcome card in the room also thoughtfully described the hotel's location and nearby attractions. This small detail really showed their consideration. Breakfast deserves a special shout-out! Their rice noodle stall always had a small queue, but it was absolutely worth the wait! The chef blanched the noodles right in front of you, and you could add as many toppings as you liked. I had two hearty bowls every single day. There was also Gongcheng Oil Tea, with a fragrant aroma, served with fried rice and *sazi* (fried dough twists). Drinking it was incredibly comforting and warming. Other items included freshly fried eggs, vegetable salad, fresh fruit, yogurt, and so on. While the variety wasn't overwhelming, every single item was substantial and of good quality. The service was also very pleasant. The young lady at the front desk remembered our room number and even our surname, always greeting us with a smile whenever we met. Especially when my friend wasn't feeling well during our stay, the cleaning lady noticed the medicine on the table and thoughtfully left extra bottles of water along with a heartwarming note. These little things really made us feel cared for. The rooftop restaurant offered spectacular views! We went up on our second night and watched the lights of Guilin city and the East-West Alley gradually twinkle on, as the distant mountain silhouettes softly faded into the night. That feeling was simply idyllic. The restaurant's dishes weren't expensive and tasted quite good. The scenery here was far superior to many dedicated scenic viewpoints. Anyway, my overall impression of this hotel is that it has everything you need without any unnecessary fluff. No extravagant or impractical facilities, but every aspect of our stay was convenient and incredibly comfortable. The price is mid-range for Guilin city center, but the overall experience genuinely exceeded expectations. If you're going to Guilin next time, I genuinely recommend trying this place. I've already decided to book here again when I bring my parents next time! Oh, one last thing: they offer several types of pillows to choose from, which is incredibly thoughtful for people like us who are particular about their pillows!!!

The room was clean and tidy, with a charming traditional tea culture aesthetic. The location is excellent, right in Dongxi Alley. You'll find plenty of food options downstairs, and Zhengyang Street is just across the road. The Sun and Moon Pagodas and Elephant Trunk Hill are also within walking distance.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a 10-minute walk from the Sun and Moon Pagodas and 15 minutes from the Elephant Trunk Hill Scenic Area. This makes it incredibly convenient for guests to explore the city, shop, and sightsee. The hotel's interior is spotless, and upon arrival, we were even offered a refreshing sour plum soup to cool down. The rooms are well-appointed with complete amenities, and I particularly appreciated the separate design of the bedroom and bathroom, which felt both spacious and upscale. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and provided detailed information. During the off-peak season, when rooms are readily available, they even offer complimentary room upgrades. Overall, it was a fantastic accommodation experience.

This is an excellent hotel. I have been surprised by many things on my trip to China but this hotel exceeded all my expectations. The staff are caring and extremely efficient. For example I needed a screw driver (I would never normally ask) but I did, and within 30 seconds I had a knock at the door with the screwdriver I required. The washing rooms are per floor, so you are only sharing your washing and drying machines with 8 other rooms instead of hundreds. The room was spectacular. Wireless chargers, smart toilet, beautiful comfortable huge bed, shower and wow…. The view! My only consideration is that the pool area/viewing deck is under renovation, whilst you’d be able to use the pool still, the rest of the viewing area is under renovation. I wish I had known this sooner, however because the hotel exceeded my expectations in every other department it didn’t matter to me and did not affect my score. 10/10 thank you for looking after us ❤️

We stayed at this hotel for just one night and we didn't regret our choice for a second. It was a wonderful decision! We chose a room with a bathtub by the window specifically for the stunning view of the forest and river it offered – absolutely breathtaking. We loved everything about the room: the air conditioning was a lifesaver in the heat, and the orthopedic mattress and pillows were so comfortable (a special thank you for that!). The room was spotless, and everything was in perfect working order. The front desk staff are wonderful people! Communication was tricky without knowing Chinese, but every single employee was incredibly friendly and tried so hard to help us, using translators with patience. A huge thank you for your help with AliPay – we had a payment issue, and the administrators solved it for us. Furthermore, one of the front desk ladies helped us book exactly the tour we needed. Since the standard tours didn't suit our specific route request, she went out of her way to help us organize everything. We had breakfast included, but we had to leave too early to enjoy it. So that we wouldn't go hungry, the incredibly thoughtful staff offered us croissants and milk! We also made great use of the coffee machine in the lobby. Thank you so much to the hotel for such a comfortable and memorable stay! We highly recommend it.

The room is spacious, bright, clean and tidy. The pillows are latex pillows and are very comfortable to sleep on. The bedding is also very good. The room is very warmly decorated. The room is very clean, quiet in the bustle, and the scenery is very good. In front of the door is the Li River, next to Seven Star Park, very close to East and West Alley and Elephant Trunk Hill. It only takes ten minutes to walk there, which is convenient for travel. There are delicious food next to the hotel. Also a lot. The price is very reasonable and worth every penny! The experience was relaxing and enjoyable!

Probably the best customer experience in China so far! Staff is extremely nice and helpful, even though not all speak English. Hotel team does the best to make your stay amazing! Hotel has central location, about 7 mins walk to Sun/Moon Pagodas. Room is huge in Twin, comfy bed, bath tab, shower, all the necessary supplies and complimentary soda drinks in the fridge 💖 breakfast is mainly Chinese traditional, but still you can find many variations for western taste. There is a SPA in the building and Tourist counter where you can book all excursions. Hotel staff efficiently arranged 2 sessions of massage in the SPA for late evening hours and massage was just fantastic! You can also get the discount as a resident. On the first floor there is super tasty Hong-Kong style restaurant. As I already mentioned, hospitality and care was amazing ! Would definitely choose again and recommend this accommodation! P.S extra thanks to a guy from morning shift on the front desk (sorry, don’t know the name)! Very caring 💖 and more thanks for unexpected traditional style gifts that we received on our check-out and leaving 💖

I am a world traveler and have stayed in Guilin many times. This is my now my favorite hotel in China and one my best hotel experiences anywhere. I stayed for one week. This is an intimate, boutique style hotel. Service consistently exceeded expectations from every staff member - at check-in, dining room, housekeeping, daily free laundry, free cultural and activity experiences, concierge assistance - outstanding level of friendly service. Staff at the front desk speak English. We also took advantage of the free costume photography and unique chime and bowl singing mediation. The value is excellent for the affordable cost. The bedding assured a great night sleep and the room had a spectacular view of the river and mountain. We were provided free drink, including my favorite local beer, and snacks from our room mini-cooler! The hotel has a great location near many attractions, and also has access to a long river walkway behind the hotel that takes you to one of the major parks. Many excellent food choices for Chinese style breakfast with the famous Guilin noodle. There is no bar at this hotel, but I brought my beer or drinks and smokes up to the rooftop terrace to relax with the spectacular view. Lounge sofa chairs in the lobby openair balcony overlook the Li Jiang river flowing by. Delightful place to relax with a drink from the coffee/tea service. (It was closed unfortunately for two days I was there, due to a meeting. Ask when you check in about availability of this feature.) Taxis were available when needed, literally, within a minute of ordering. I also took advantage of simple facilities in a gym space and a large and fun kids play room when a toddler came to visit. Overall, the best place to stay for vacation time in Guilin.

My first visit to Guilin, and this hotel left a fantastic impression. Upon arrival, they had an available room category and kindly upgraded us for free. The room was spotless, and we had a very comfortable sleep. We also enjoyed having a tea set to brew our own tea. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and always greeted us proactively. The lobby provided thoughtful amenities like complimentary chilled and warm bottled water, and a coffee machine. A significant bonus was the downstairs laundry room, complete with automatic dryers, which was incredibly convenient for refreshing our clothes during our travels. Its location is also excellent, just a 10-minute walk to the main attractions. I would definitely stay at this hotel again on my next visit to Guilin.

For my trip to Guilin, choosing this hotel was definitely the best decision! My positive impression started building from the moment I arrived, and the entire experience far exceeded my expectations. What really stood out was the hotel's location – it's practically synonymous with the freedom to explore, eat, and sightsee! There's a Luckin Coffee right downstairs, making it super convenient to grab a morning coffee. If you prefer Starbucks, it's just about a 3-minute walk, perfect for a relaxing break. Not to mention must-visit spots like Zhengyang Street and Dongxi Alley – they're only a leisurely 5-10 minute stroll away. After exploring the alleys and enjoying some local cuisine, you can simply walk over to the Twin Pagodas to admire the night view. The best part is that no taxis were needed for any of this, which saved me a lot of time. I've already recommended it to my friends; it's genuinely worth experiencing!
