Park Hotel Ai Cappuccini

Gubbio|1km from city centre
I have been a Gold Member of The World of Hyatt for what seems to be an eternity. I also carry a Chase Hyatt credit card which earns me a reward night and points too. Chase allowed us to carry forward last years award night due to Covid 19. Together with the use of accumulated points we were able to use them at the Park Hotel Cappucini for a 4 night stay. We thought it was in Perugia but it is not. It is in Gubbio. So, it costs €80 each way from the airport to the hotel alone which, is just a 1/2 hour drive away. Gubbio though is a gem of a City in every way. To get to Perugia by bus (which takes one hour) is just €7 each way and well worth the visit too. But let’s return first to the Hotel. Would my wife and I stay here again? Sorry, we would not. For despite all of it’s history and elegance, it is souless. Yes, the rooms are modern and clean as one would expect but noisy. You can hear a drop of a pin from neighboring rooms or from the hallway. There is a mini bar with snacks to purchase. No complimentary bottles of water provided on arrival but to be fair, two small chocolates and small box of biscuits. There are no tea or coffee making facilities and no English channels what so ever on the TV either. Breakfast was very good. Although a bit of a circus as it was a free for all without being seated. But no real hardship. The swimming pool was difficult to use as they allowed lane swimming for single swimmers and the water was too cold for my liking. We used it once. The Gym is well equipped. We did not use the SPA. The prices put us off and there were too many poor online reviews so, we gave it a miss. We did dine in the restaurant on our first night. Very delicious food, good service but pricy compared to Mitchelin starred restaurants down in Gubbio (a 10 minute walk away down the valley). We did not use the mini bar but bought what we needed from the supermarket 5 minutes wall away. I am not paying €4 for a small 330cl bottle of coca-cola. I agree with a previous post made by a traveler on Trip Advisor. The hotel has a sense of “Business and Corporate world about it”. My wife and I both felt it. Luckily for us, we were using award and points otherwise I do believe we would have checked out after the second night and tried another local hotel down in the City or more friendlier B&B. But, this is just our experience.

Relais Ducale

Historical palace with many interesting details, such as the penile garden and the secret tunnel that once connected it to the Palace of Ducal. Location of the central hotel, with possibility of parking about 600 meters, near the famous Bahnhof ...We recommend you to explain well how to reach the hotel because it is not intuitive because of the various active ZTLs and senses The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. The room is very comfortable and comfortable. The room is very comfortable and comfortable. The watch is very good and it is very good. The hotel is connected to the bar of the fiction Don Matteo with a look at the famous square which, unfortunately, is in the course of this period, is in restructuring.

Provano a risolvere senza successo.
