My wife and I stayed in the Royal Level, advertised as “adult only”. The hotel is great, nice and clean, good clean rooms, large main pool area fresh pool towels when required. The main restaurant is buffet style with plenty of choice, there is also a Japanese restaurant and a Mexican restaurant, these two have to be booked and then depends on your board choice, we didn’t eat in these as we were on the Royal Level and we like to go out at night to eat even though we were all inclusive. While being all inclusive, the mini fridge in your room is only all inclusive for one cycle of each product, strange as you can get a soft or alcoholic drink at any bar, snack bar throughout the day. On the apparent Royal Level Adult Only area, the infinity pool is large length wise but not very wide and only 1.5m deep, great views over the coast though. The restaurant in the Royal Level is all menu and waiter service, there is some buffet choice at breakfast time. The food here is more than above average. The service at the pool was OK outside of the typical after food times, the bar staff , usually just one on their own were stressed, and having to run back and forth to the main bar to refill stock. On one of our days out of the 10 we stayed we sat for lunch at the adult only restaurant, and in walked a family, who appeared to be Spanish with a 10 to 13 year old child. There were the waiters asking questions to each other and all holiday makers were mumbling quietly amongst themselves. One waiter was going over to the family and was called back by the head waiter and the family sat and ate. Later the child was shouting across the restaurant mummy, mummy for the mother’s attention. Later at the adult only infinity pool with sign’s highly visible to all the family turn up again with the child still shouting, splashing and standing on the back wall of the pool for a photo. Later back in the room I called reception to ask how this was possible, I was informed by the hotel staff that the mother had challenged the Spanish law that discriminated against minors, and they were then let in. Staying at the Royal Level, cost extra for the exclusivity of adults only and the hotel has really let its self down, it would of had a 5 star rating if it wasn’t for this.
