Fantastic staff and facilities. The buffets are somewhat poor for the level of the hotel. In general I liked

My wife and I stayed in the Royal Level, advertised as “adult only”. The hotel is great, nice and clean, good clean rooms, large main pool area fresh pool towels when required. The main restaurant is buffet style with plenty of choice, there is also a Japanese restaurant and a Mexican restaurant, these two have to be booked and then depends on your board choice, we didn’t eat in these as we were on the Royal Level and we like to go out at night to eat even though we were all inclusive. While being all inclusive, the mini fridge in your room is only all inclusive for one cycle of each product, strange as you can get a soft or alcoholic drink at any bar, snack bar throughout the day. On the apparent Royal Level Adult Only area, the infinity pool is large length wise but not very wide and only 1.5m deep, great views over the coast though. The restaurant in the Royal Level is all menu and waiter service, there is some buffet choice at breakfast time. The food here is more than above average. The service at the pool was OK outside of the typical after food times, the bar staff , usually just one on their own were stressed, and having to run back and forth to the main bar to refill stock. On one of our days out of the 10 we stayed we sat for lunch at the adult only restaurant, and in walked a family, who appeared to be Spanish with a 10 to 13 year old child. There were the waiters asking questions to each other and all holiday makers were mumbling quietly amongst themselves. One waiter was going over to the family and was called back by the head waiter and the family sat and ate. Later the child was shouting across the restaurant mummy, mummy for the mother’s attention. Later at the adult only infinity pool with sign’s highly visible to all the family turn up again with the child still shouting, splashing and standing on the back wall of the pool for a photo. Later back in the room I called reception to ask how this was possible, I was informed by the hotel staff that the mother had challenged the Spanish law that discriminated against minors, and they were then let in. Staying at the Royal Level, cost extra for the exclusivity of adults only and the hotel has really let its self down, it would of had a 5 star rating if it wasn’t for this.

As an experienced travel agent of over 15 years I think I’m well placed to provide an honest and open review After just returning from this hotel I can honestly say we’ve had a great time We had a deluxe junior suite and our room was absolutely enormous with a double patio balcony. The room was stocked with a mini bar with beers, Prosecco and soft drinks which was only replenished with water every few days which was fine. The bathroom was huge and the walk in shower and massive jacuzzi bath were amazing The food here is a good standard. We eat in the main Olivia restaurant a couple of times which was a standard all inclusive buffet option and included self service soft drinks, beer and wine. We loved the royal level Asana restaurant though. Despite this being a buffet restaurant it didn’t feel like one. A pianist would play in the evening and the food options were of a high standard and cooked to order meat selections which again was wonderful. The waiters here are fantastic and provided a wonderful service. After 2 days they knew our drinks order and as soon as we sat down we would have our drinks with us within 30 seconds We also eat in the Italian a couple of times and the food here was absolutely beautiful. You only get one round of drinks here as part of the royal package but additional wine / beer was around 3 euros each so really not a big deal (although why your drinks aren’t all included here is a bit strange ?) I have never been in a hotel with a drinks option as extensive as this before. Especially at royal level literally everything and anything was available for free. Every branded drink you could think of and the most fabulous cocktails . The Royal level pool was also lively, never a queue at the bar and excellent daytime entertainment here. I joined in an art and wine session where I painted a palm tree and drank wine (a truly lovely experience) and I also took part in guitar lessons after the coach had played some amazing Spanish guitar round the pool. My favourite days were the white party and feeling royal where a dj and sax player would play for about 2 hours it was brilliant. We travelled into town quite a bit and taxis were just under 4 euros each way. There was constant entertainment / activities to get involved in around the main pools during the day with a full schedule available on the app My biggest disappointment with this hotel however was the evening entertainment. The main plaza is a big space in between the 2 hotels and they have the mini disco on there from 8.30 and then a show on around 9pm again good shows no real complaints. But in the main hotel and royal section the lobby was illuminated so brightly it was like you were being interrogated so this killed any opportunity for ambiance. They had a piano player here too but there are literally 100’s of people sat outside in a lovely seated area with absolutely nothing to do but play cards. The hotel are missing a trick here, had there have been a d

This is a honest account good and bad, please read all comments made. This is a perfect hotel with only a couple of minor issues which I will tell you first. 1- staff are extremely rude 2- this is not a adult only hotel (explained in more detail below) 3- can’t move parasols around the pool 4- checkin not until 3pm The review We are no strangers to Lanzarote and have been here a couple of times before but mainly in villas. This is the first time here in a hotel and we are well travelled so have some experience in hotels and holidays. We booked a superior sea view room with balcony and sun terrace. On arrival the hotel is stunning with a stunning view of the pool and sea from the reception. We got an early flight so we could get an early start on the holiday but had to wait until 3 for our room. This was a little inconvenient as we were in jeans and t-shirt. At this point we were told you had to pay extra for adult only. As I noticed one or two kids running about. This was a little strange as I thought this was an adult only hotel and TUI didn’t give any other option of adult only or non adult only. After speaking with reception it didn’t seem any point to upgrade. As the benefits are slight. The room was amazing. Clean, modern with a 6ft bed. View was stunning of the pool, sea, harbour and promenade. And terrace is very private ideal for the all over body tan. The hotel is in the perfect location and in a short walking distance from everything, shops, bars, restaurants and beaches. Entertainment around the pool is extremely loud as they seem to think everyone wants to hear what’s going on, this could be dulled down as a lot just want to relax on a holiday. The pool is clean and hide with a separate small pool for children. Adult only pool is a small infinity pool off to one side but this was always busy. There are absolutely loads of beds but you still get the people putting towels down at 6 in the morning. Typical holiday selfishness. Food was very good, lots of different options from pasta, pizza, salad, different meats Overall the hotel is stunning but what let it down was that most of the staff, no one smiles and not very approachable. If anything you get treated like you’re an inconvenienced to them.

After reading some reviews I was a little apprehensive about staying Royal Level. However, people will complain about everything and anything! We had a fantastic time! The rooms are of a good standard, we stayed in a deluxe junior suite with a partial sea view. We could see the desalination plant however, this really wasn’t an issue as we spent little time on our balcony. The restaurant is good with a good selection of food and drinks service was excellent every night. The hotel has introduced a roping off system so people can’t access the pool before 09:30. This has put a stop to people getting up to reserve sun beds and parasols and made the experience a lot more enjoyable. The pool is clean and warm and the pool bar well stocked. Staff were attentive and friendly. The hotel is quite a way out of the resort so bear that in mind. Overall we had an excellent relaxing stay which both ourselves and the kids enjoyed.

We have just returned from 6 nights here. Really lovely hotel. Rooms comfortable and clean. plenty of storage. Would have liked a mirror in the bedroom. Food very good selection and quality. Drinks choice very good. Restaurant very pleasant. Bit of a queue to check in and we had a wait for our room. Not a disaster but would have been nice to get into the room after an early start and travelling, Lots of facilities. Usual sunbed saving which is always frustrating! Why do people reserve them, then go out for the morning!? Will definitely return,

Great all round! This is the third time I’ve been to the Royal Level Barceló and it was exactly as hoped, bearing in mind I took three of our grown up children this time. The service was impeccable and the quality of the food and drinks was superb. I don’t know where the guests who left disappointed reviews were staying but it can’t have been here! Also, there was no rush or crush for the sun beds - there were plenty to go round. Of course if you want one of the Bali beds or family pods, you will have to get up early to be in with a chance. Such a wonderfully relaxed and easy going vibe around the place... The only thing I would like to see differently, is the Royal Level pool bar being open in the evenings. The main bar of the hotel lacks atmosphere, due to its size and wider clientele.

Beautiful hotel. Very large with lots of pools. Stayed in Royal Level in a suite either my teenagers next door. Rooms lovely, very very clean. Water replaced daily in fridge which was welcome. We were B&B as we like to eat out and breakfast was great. Lots of choice and my kids loved the churros and pancakes. We didn’t stick around in the evening for entertainment although there was always something on. With Royal level we had limitless pool towels but I saw some issues with people getting towels in the regular pool. Staff very nice and accommodating.

We have been to a wide variety of All- inclusive hotels, including the Active Resort attached to this part of the hotel. The rooms are great, the Royal level pools are brilliant, the poolside bars excellent, the service superb. But what really made this the most exceptional hotel was the food and drink. It was amazing, cured ham, smoked salmon, steak cooked to order, clams cooked to order, chicken fillets cooked to order. The drinks included in the Royal Level are all top brands such as Pernod, Whitley Neil, top brand rims and whisky's. We make our own entertainment in the evening - so perfect for us.
