Baiyun Lakeside Hotel (Nanhu Tourism Center) Reviews

A wonderful place to relax. It is convenient that the children's and adult pools are connected. On the first floor there is a restaurant where you can have a delicious meal. Very beautiful view of the lake and mountains. Opposite the hotel there is a small water park (you buy a ticket yourself).

It was a decent stay but the hotel could improve in terms of the old design and a better breakfast.

I chose this hotel because of location despite reading some reviews how the breakfast needs improvements and badly managed by mainland China standard, and now I agree with them. I ended up just taking 1 breakfast out of 3, which was not included in the stay so that I even paid extra, because it was that terrible. Also table was so dirty, another reason why I gave up on eating there. Plus everything was falling apart, like how pavements are broken, closet is broken and many trashes in the hotel complex. I had to talk to staff a lot to make requests such as fixing the safe in the room. Also there was construction work going on, thus noises and there were loud party noises late in the night as well. The location is nice, in the forest although lake is completely disappearing. My room had window blocked by trees which was lovely view and I could have privacy in the room unless I go outside to balcony. The amenities well equipped and there are complementary fruits every day which I had instead of breakfast. Also the housekeeping in the room and the outdoor pool was nice. But right after I checked out the receptionist chased me after and said something was missing inside the room. So they do check very well but why do they not check about trashes, broken pavements and noise concerns. Regarding ‘missing item’, they do label how some stuff are to be paid with the price tag and ‘not gift’ sign and I didn’t take them. So it looked like some misunderstanding and because of language and cultural differences. As international traveler, I had to communicate through smartphone translation and sometimes I could see the translation was getting messed up. Also it looked like I was the only foreigner, most of guests here are locals, as both guests and staff kept on referring me as my nationality amongst themselves. Overall, read the reviews and decide for yourself.

We had our wedding at this hotel and booked one night. The staff were very helpful with setting everything up, and the room was nice and comfortable.

Hygiene: It's really speechless. Mosquitoes came into the room and I got allergic reactions from the bites. My legs and arms were all itchy. I bought a lot of medicine, but the itching was still there, which seriously affected my subsequent trips.

Located beside Nanhu Lake in Baiyun District, the environment is beautiful with lakes and mountains. The room is large, clean and sanitary. The toilet, washroom and shower are independent, and dry and wet are separated. It is very quiet at night and I rested well.

The room is quite retro, and the view outside the window is nice, full of green! The table in the room is very old and peeling, the hair dryer is covered with dust... The sofa is a little damp. What I like more is the hotel's infinity pool, the water is clean and there are not many people. The surrounding environment is relatively quiet, which is still OK.

The hotel has beautiful scenery, which makes people feel relaxed. The interior rooms are simply decorated but stylish. The Yueshu Bar in the public area of ​​the hotel has books to read and displays the hotel's history and culture. It is a place that is particularly suitable for solitude and taking photos. The set meals offered by the supporting restaurant are cost-effective and taste good, which is especially suitable for leisure and vacation.

The hotel has a long history, but the hygiene is really disappointing, especially the service in the restaurant, which can only be described as terrible. No wonder the business is getting worse and worse. I originally thought that the hotels under the White Swan Group would be at the level of four or five stars no matter how bad they are, but the service and hygiene of the hotel are really disgusting.

The hotel has a beautiful environment and the service staff is very friendly. I would like to praise Xiao Xu and Xiao Li at the front desk for patiently solving the problem. I will stay here again next time to experience the swimming pool.

The equipment is old and needs to be renovated! The environment by the lake is really nice. The ladies at the front desk (Xiao Xu, Xiao Zhang and Xiao Li) were warm and patient in answering questions... They deserve praise!
