The hotel staff was nice and quick with registering my room, the location was close to Nanzhou metro station (a 2/3 minute walk), next to the hotel there was a small shop and mini-convenience store, but was good to get a quick drink, snack or cigarettes. There was something like a bar in the next building, but I didn't visit there.
The hotel is next to a busy road, you don't hear the cars driving much, but you can hear the honking from cars, and Chinese car users like honking!
There was daily water, toothbrush and other necessaties available, I haven't tried the breakfast so I have nothing to say about that.
The hotel room itself was good enough for a solo traveler, but there are some points of improvement:
- the door from the shower didn't fully close, so during the shower a lot of water ended up in the bathroom.
- the airco had obviously leaked at one time, you could see water damage on the wall
- there was no mini-fridge (i might have missed that when making the booking, but i had never seen a hotelroom which didn't have that)
These things are no bother for me personally, but if I would have brought my girlfriend, I wouldn't have heard the end of it ;-)
A big bonus point is the TV entertainment system, some of the movies were available for free, like X-man series.
Do you plan to go a romantic weekend with your partner? Then maybe this hotel is not right for you. Do you plan to move around the area, have a fair in the neigbourhood, you just need a place to sleep for a few days, this hotel is the perfect solution. The staff doesn't always understand your english, but they have a good translation machine.
