After 40 years of regular travel around the world we have never had so many disappointments. Indeed: - Very complicated sleep during these 15 days between the spotlights in the driveway which remain on all night (just a problem of adjustment) and during the day which floods the room from 5:30 a.m. because there are no curtains blocking out the barking of the neighboring dogs … - No ventilation in the bathroom / WC and impossibility of opening the skylight - Toilet bowl full of black marbling - Leaky tap and rusty shower (and no hand shower) - Shower seal neither done nor to be done - Excursion organized one Sunday in the southwest (160€) for the day with a visit to the Chamarel rum factory which we found closed. When we returned, at the end of the morning, the veracity of the information was questioned, although the rum shop confirmed it to me by email. - Another catamaran excursion to the island of Benitier resulting in food poisoning and hospitalization (note: we did not have lunch anywhere in the meantime) - Swimming pool treated only with salt with a little vinegar! and without electrolyser (dixit Valérie) therefore without any disinfection: a world first… The positive points: - Spacious and clean room - Dinner with lots of flavors when it is the chef who prepares - Emilie the waitress who is a gem We are aware that since the arrival of the new owners 8 months ago everything could not be resolved, but at no time was there any intervention or even a proposal to change rooms on the pool side, even though we told them all this but we very quickly felt that our remarks were unpleasant and we were just told "we know, we'll make a list"... even when we asked at the very least to have a map of the neighborhood to find our way because the The establishment is located outside the city. The day of our arrival, no one was there because the reception is closed from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., the owners do not live in their "Guest house", we waited 20 minutes for them. And on the day of our departure, we were kicked out and told that check out is at 10 a.m., this information does not appear anywhere in the room or at reception and no one told us. And we can't even say that the value for money is interesting because if we compare with hotels of the same class and price nearby, the services are much superior.

The hotel is located on a street where there are around fifteen dogs that bark continuously at night. The owner is rude and doesn't respond when you say hello. The pool is tiny and dirty. Breakfast is the same every morning. On the description it is indicated that one bottle of water per day per person is offered, which is not the case. No advice is given on visits. Only two deckchairs for the entire hotel

A good price-performance ratio. Very large bedroom and bathroom but unpleasant smell from the pipes. Delicious and plentiful breakfast. Possibility of dinner in the evening.

Stella Rina propose une formule de demi-pension le soir, comprenant une entrée, un plat et un dessert. Bien qu’il n’y ait pas de choix dans le menu, chaque plat est soigneusement conçu et préparé avec les ingrédients les plus frais, garantissant une délicieuse surprise à chaque bouchée. Cette approche unique de la restauration permet aux chefs de présenter le meilleur de leur créativité et de leur talent, offrant aux convives une expérience culinaire véritablement unique à chaque visite. En somme, une visite à Stella Rina est bien plus qu’un simple repas, c’est une célébration de la cuisine mauricienne , une démonstration de l’hospitalité mauricienne et une expérience culinaire que vous n’oublierez pas de sitôt. Je recommande vivement Stella Rina à tous ceux qui cherchent à découvrir le meilleur de la cuisine mauricienne dans un cadre élégant et accueillant.

Une très belle découverte, et un véritable havre de paix situé idéalement entre Grand Baie et Mont Choisy. Très bien desservi par les bus locaux qui , pour une somme dérisoire 17 roupies vous conduisent en 5 min aux plus belles plages de l'île. Le nouveau propriétaire Cyril ne ménage aucun effort pour que tout soit parfait. Ses chambres sont rénovées et décorées avec beaucoup de goût, la propreté et l'entretien sont dignes d'un cinq étoiles....et le meilleur c'est que Cyril , fin gastronome vous concoctera des repas raffinés capables de rivaliser avec les meilleurs tables de l'île et à un tarif très raisonnable.....pour nous qui voyageons beaucoup, Cyril et le Stella Rina resteront une très belle rencontre....nous y reviendrons plus nombreux.
