We was told to arrive at the property early 12.00pm but Marcus never arrived till 15.30pm for check in and to show how everything works and where to find things. when it should have been 14:00. This was the first red flag. When we arrived the Tv did not work so 3 men had to come and fix it. The beds are terribly hard and only had one pillow per person. It was pretty basic for what is meant to be a luxury villa. We was asked to pay 20,000 deposit on check in which was fine. My family and i had advised Marcus on day of check out we was planning a family trip so we would need to leave by 11am to travel to the other side of the island. Marcus did not show up on time day of check out we called and called finally managed to get hold of him. He told me and my family we would have to get a taxi into the town to meet a lady with a card machine if we wish for our deposit to be returned. We was completely shocked at this as our baby is only 4 months old. We had no idea what we was doing we are tourist on holiday. This was not agreed or mentioned on check in We argued and finally he said he would come to give us our money back in 20 mins. My family and i was desperate to leave to make our trip and collect baby formula as we was all out, which we told Marcus. Our Poor Baby cried and went hungry for 2 hours while we waited for our deposit to be returned, My wife was in tears and baby crying as we did not plan on being in the villa so late. We are currently battling the general manager Maxell Ternel who seems to have no empathy towards me and my family for the terribly service and the stress caused to me and my family. Takes days and days to get a simple email response. Maxwell has offered an early check in and late check out on our next stay, Which i find utterly shocking him thinking we would ever stay with them again after this. They added they would also compensate for our day trip which we declined. We will continue to fight this !!!

We stayed at Oasis Villas for 9 nights and had a very enjoyable time and would definitely recommend this villa as a great place to stay. Positives: - Beautiful villas with all the facilities you need in a traditional island style. - Completely private pool. - Excellent staff who are very friendly. - Security staff constantly manning the entrance gates. - Ample parking. - Close to Grand Baie Public Beach, Pereybere Beach, La Croisette Shopping Centre, Grand Baie Shopping Area. Negatives: - As Mauritius is a tropical island, bugs and lizards are expected. The villa has air conditioning but unfortunately in our particular villa, there was a gap between the door frame that opened to the decking by the pool from the bedroom on one side and this allowed lizards to get in despite keeping all other doors closed. Traveller Tips: - I would recommend a hire car. While the supermarket, restaurant and some shops are a walkable distance, there are almost no footpaths making this a risky option, espcially at night. Driving is easy in Mauritius and parking is plentiful and usually free. - La Croisette and the Shopping Mall around the Super U have a lot of restaurant/take away options for eateries local to Oasis Villas. Suggestions to Oasis: - Investigate and close door frame gap to reduce insect/lizard intrusion. - Consider resuming shuttle services to beaches/the shopping centre to further enhance the experience for tourists. Overall, I would rate our experience 9/10 - Thank you Oasis Villas :)

Magnificent villa, top services and welcome! From the moment we walked through the doors of this lavish villa, we were greeted with luxury and refinement that exceeded all our expectations. Horrible. Poorly maintained old villa. Very quiet, safe, comfortable villa but very aging and in need of a good refresh. Severe lack of crockery equipment for me who wanted to prepare breakfast: 3 forks for 4, only 5 plates, no salt, pepper or oil, 3 napkins of questionable hygiene for 4, a small bottle of water in a fridge which only makes frost...at the price of the rental, we shouldn't worry about these kinds of details...being a tourism professional myself, my villas, although smaller, are good better equipped and cleaned than this one. The swimming pool is at room temperature because it is not exposed to the sun, just look at the grass which does not grow in a poor and dirty garden with waste, and a kiosk with holes in it with a mattress marbled with a large black spot ... Very poor quality/price ratio. I absolutely do not recommend. Run away.

Very good stay. Very well equipped villa (very complete crockery, household appliances, washing machine, etc.). The residence is very quiet. The Balinese style offers a real change of scenery. It is really recommended to have a car on site or to hire a taxi because the residence is quite far from local shops. By car the location is very convenient because 2 minutes from the Super U of Grand Baie and the Croisette. Breakfast is complete but be careful it is not served on Sunday morning. The only downside was that we reported several times that the key to the garden door remained stuck in the lock and made it impossible to close from the outside, but no one remedied this problem during our stay.
