First of all, the day before our arrival we sent a message saying that we would be arriving earlier than expected and that if our apartment wasn't ready we would need a place to leave our bags (we didn't know they managed a hotel right across the street). Finally they gave us the apartment, ugly but spacious and the sea view really spectacular. When they gave us the key we asked to pay at the time and they told us that later...the next day they were already sending us messages saying that we had to pay!!!! We had a scheduled excursion to Port Luis and returned in the afternoon. We went to the reception desk and said we wanted to pay, but they told us the person in charge wasn't there. The next day, we received another message saying we had to pay! Again, we told them we had another excursion and would return in the afternoon. When we returned, we had to stay in the apartment waiting for the appropriate time for the person in charge of collecting the payment! The owner... a rather unpleasant character, really. The shower... the shower head holder was broken and wouldn't hold it, so you had to hold it with your hand to bathe. The bed... the worst! Uncomfortable, the sagging mattress sank in, and on top of that, it made a noise every time you moved! And to top off our experience, our apartment's balcony was where they kept their cleaning and maintenance supplies, so we didn't get a single minute of privacy! In short, not at all recommended!
