"As a frequent traveler, I have stayed in more than 2000 hotels before, and I have never felt more genuine care than at the Tu An Hotel in Golmud: as I check in, the manager 韓月 (I believe she was the manager) noted that my lips were dry, and immediately told her staff to set up a moisturizer in my room. I chose this hotel because the airport bus departs from here; however, the information regarding the bus schedule was patchy. The hotel staff did not know what was the latest schedule, but all of them had been very helpful to try to help me with it - from the manager to the cleaning staff. All of this shows that this hotel cares for the guests."

"This is one of the better quality options in Golmud (there aren’t many). The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good. Unfortunately, the service was very poor - there were no functioning USB ports in the room and the hotel was unhelpful - seeming unwilling or unable able to offer a solution. The “room service” is actually takeaway food delivered from outside the hotel but no cutlery/chopsticks was provided with it. When we asked the hotel to provide some, it took nearly 20 minutes to arrive (longer than the food itself), by which time the food was getting cold. We had to ask repeatedly for sufficient drinking water, having only been provided two small bottles for two people. Aside from the poor service, the hotel is in an odd location, surrounding by closed shops and building sites - nowhere near the commercial centre of the city - with nothing within walking distance. With the right management, it could be an excellent hotel, but it’s not quite there at the moment."

The hotel offers a gym, a laundry room, and free parking, although the parking wasn't very convenient. Overall, it's excellent value for money!"
