"The location was good because it was close to the beach. There is a dog (?) dog in front of the house, but it looked scary, but it was nice to be gentle, and it was nice to have a whirlpool in the hostel."

"I wanted to sleep in the mountains, not far from the Gangneung beach (around 30 minutes). The owner was very kind and prepared a meal that he cooked himself, so I was very grateful. The location is surrounded by mountains and located high up (vehicles allowed, of course), so the view is also good. I came here while listening to the sound of the mountain breeze without any external noise. It is an old pension, so there are limitations in facilities, but I recommend it to those who want to relax in comfort and hospitality in the mountains."

AAThe service surpasses our expectations. The staff are polite, efficient, and always ready to help. Special credit goes to General Manager Hong who speaks good English and would always walk an extra mile to give us assistance.
The environment is commendable. The hotel is clean and comfortable with a chic design. The room is brightly lit and spacious. We appreciate the practical design, such as power points conveniently equipped right in front of the working table.
We like the cozy meeting area on G/F where we can gather for a chat and savor a cup of complimentary tea or coffee. Besides, we recommend the Italian restaurant, Brother & Brother, on the 9/F. The menu mainly offers pizza, pasta and risotto. Breakfast, which must be booked in advance, include orange juice, coffee, cereal and a sumptuous sandwich fully packed with healthful vegetables, egg, ham and cheese. Anyway, the food is delicious, sometimes with a Korean twist. It is good value for money. The restaurant also has a good view overlooking the mountains and the wind turbines from afar.
Overall, we are very satisfied with The HongC Hotel. The stay was pleasant and happy.

GGuest UserSuper nice sea view , room look exactly like the photo . Room with simple cooking equipment that u can cook ramen or little snack . Dryer , towel all those basic things are provided. But 2 things u have to take notes , this homestay type of property doest not have reception or person incharge at the area , even during check in , so make sure u contact with trip.com to get the check in information before u reach there , or else if u can speak korean or u will need to at-least have a number that can call Korean number to contact property management when u arrive and tell them u need check in , i think simple English like “check in “ they can understand. If u don’t have any number that can call or did not contact trip earlier on to get the information, u will be there and wait and u can’t check in smoothly for sure . Secondly this location is far from the city area (like ktx/ bus express terminal and anmok beach ) this location is only near to sundubu gelato by foot about 20min. My suggestion is if u wanna stay here , prepare food and drink and stay whole day just in room to enjoy the view of sea and nice room if u did not driving . Basically for the view and nice room , I will come back again .

AAnonymous UserDecent and nice hotel. Caters to many couples and families who bring along their pet dogs etc. Seen like this is their specialty. Only thing we found strange was that they charge a hefty fee to use the swimming pool, even for hotel guests. The air conditioning also appears less than ideal, being fixed in terms of the temp setting. You cannot change or adjust it- which is not good

UUnyoung GleasonHotel tops 10 was a nice hotel on top of a big hill. The service was good and the ameneties were good, we got a big hotel room with a large TV and good view of the water. Unfortunately the hotel is quite isolated from the rest of the town and makes you rely on the hotel for things like food and other attractions. We did not experience any restaurants or the bath house due to our short stay, so unfortunately cannot comment on that. There is a convenience store in side the hotel that we ended up getting our dinner from, which was still good :) overall we wished we had done anything at the hotel if we go again. If you have a car you should be able to go to the town..

경경이아씨During my trip to Gangneung, I chose the newly opened Solaview Hotel & Resort because I had a schedule in Jeongdongjin.
I had high expectations because it was newly opened.
Since I was traveling with my mom, I was thinking of staying in downtown Gangneung.
But since it was a newly opened place, I really wanted to go.
My mom made the choice, but I was the one who actively promoted it!
Solaview is located right above the famous Sun Cruise.
There were a lot of rooms.
I remember there were 279 rooms...
First of all, it's a real hotel.
It's not just a hotel in name. Is that how it feels? The staff at the lobby where I checked in were very friendly
I felt good
There was a GS25 convenience store BBQ in the lobby
I remember it well..
My family stayed on the 4th floor
The view was the parking lot view ㅋㅋ
Personally, the view wasn't that important to me
The room was small and nice
There was a microwave and drying rack
The refrigerator was built-in and new, so it was big and clean
It was cold when I first entered the room
But after about an hour, the room was really warm
My mom loved it
The water pressure in the bathroom was good and there was a bidet
If I had to pick one downside, it would be that the bathroom drain seemed a bit wrong
It was inconvenient to use because the drainage wasn't smooth
I think we made a very comfortable and good memory while traveling with our family.

GGuest UserThis place is very nice, located not too far from the beach and easy to find. Not the most touristic part of the city therefore it's not so easy to find things to do or eat around especially during the low season.
The room was clean and as described. The bed is located in the attic so the ceiling is a bit low. The balcony and window are right by a garden/backyard, which was not fully developed yet. The view is not the best trait of the room.
We arrived later than expected and it was raining. The umbrella I had left at the front door, where umbrellas were all stored, was stolen and I never found it again.
