We stayed at Quinta do Petrestrello within the Pestana Miramar & Village Resort. It looks brand new, very charming. We had a balcony in our room with a great swimming pool in front. We could the see the sunset from the room and balcony. Definitely one to add to the love list and return! Thank you to the team who were tireless in supporting us throughout our stay!

Can't say enough about this resort. From the beautiful grounds lovely rooms and excellent location. The staff are always there to provide great service and help. Guest services manager Rubina even went out of her way to return my mother's walking stick she accidentally left in the room on our departure. A beautiful hotel on a stunning island. We are returning again in August. JW

Just wanted to say we had a fantastic stay at the hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and we loved the pools and restaurants. Highly recommend and we are definitely coming back next year.

it was like a second honeymoon. reception staff and bell boys were amazing. they presented an option to pay for an upgrade to the new rooms in Quinta Perestrello, and that was a very good suggestion. the rooms are very well decorated and have amazing views.

The restaurants in the hotel were both really good, totally different , one looks loke a British house, the other is very Madeirean, the food was amazing and the service was most kind and attentive . The deserts are worth every calorie! I especially enjoyed the cheeses! Greetings and thank you to Mrs Rodrigues!

Fabulous stay for our second trip to Madeira. Went with friends for the annual flower festival. Room was spacious and clean with a well-equipped kitchenette and a balcony overlooking the pool area. We decided to go room only and the little supermarket around the corner had everything we needed for breakfast. We dined at the hotels a la carte restaurants on two occasions and the food and service were both very good. There are plenty of restaurants all within walking distance to suit all budgets. We made the most of the two outdoor pools, a lovely quiet garden area in which to relax, a poolside snack & cocktail bar, games room and a well-equipped gym. The indoor pool was a little small and dark. Reception staff and guest services were very helpful and helped us with booking taxis and a late check out.

Although from first impressions the hotel and garden looked lovely, it was a pretty disappointing experience. The decor was tired and very dated, and many of the staff were just plain miserable. My bedsheets had a hole in them, not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The food was edible - just, but the choice was very poor, and little care taken with dishes and presentation. The themed buffet nights were also disappointing- for example on the Italian night, the only Italian dish was a rather tasteless pasta carbonara. No parmesan, no Italian puds or starters. Sadly, this hotel really needs to be regraded as no more than a 3 star.

I have just spent some very enjoyable days at this resort. I can not fault nothing. The staff is friendly and attentive, the surrounding gardens are huge and very well kept, the temperatures outside made us enjoy very pleasant moments near the pool drinking local cocktails. Just left and willing to returmn
